Little ghosts and goblins attending this year’s Booogie by the Beach in the City of Sunny Isles Beach are in for a scary good time. The two-day event will take place at Pelican Community Park on Friday, October 26th and Saturday, October 27th from 7-10pm each evening.

Games, rides, contests and special performances will take place throughout the evening. Live entertainment featuring interactive break dance shows are scheduled in the gymnasium both nights, at 7:30pm, 8:30pm, and 9:30pm. There will surely be something to interest everyone in the crowd. Residents present your Resident ID Card to pick up a special gift.

The highlight of the event is the two-level haunted house. Level One is mild spooky fun that is great for all ages. Level Two is only for the more daring who enjoy a good Halloween scare! The more squeamish in the group can exit after Level One before continuing to the top floor. Only the brave and fearless will venture to the second floor of the haunted house where horrors are around every corner. Admission to the Haunted House is $1 per entry.

Residents showing their valid Resident ID Card may purchase a BOOOGIE Wristband (good for unlimited carnival rides) for $5.00. All others without a card will pay $10.00. Wristbands can be pre-purchased at the Pelican Community Park registration desk and are good for use on both Friday and Saturday night. Wristbands do not include admission to the Haunted House.

On Saturday night (October 27th only) register for the annual Costume Contest. Prizes in various categories provides for an entertaining awards presentation later that night!

Parking for this event will be available at the Government Center parking garage, as well as in the Norman S. Edelcup SIB K-8 School parking garage. For additional event information, please contact the Cultural & Community Services Department at 305.792.1706.
