Fob App, Inc. the company behind Selfie Test Drive, announced today that Founder and CEO Jim Douglas will be representing the company in Dublin next month as part of the 2015 Web Summit ALPHA program. While in Dublin Douglas is scheduled to attend several events around the future of tech, and meet with investors to review the company’s strategy for future growth.

In addition to select meeting times, Douglas will be available at the company’s booth, D202, on Tuesday November 3rd. The booth is located in the Downtown area of the Simonscourt Pavilion directly next to the Center Stage. To schedule a meeting with Douglas during the summit, interested parties are encouraged to email [email protected] with requested meeting times.

About Selfie Test Drive:
Selfie Test Drive is an iOS App that helps consumers find the vehicle that matches their personal style. Users can create custom images of themselves driving their favorite new cars, even placing different vehicles in their driveway. With the increasingly commoditized automotive market, Selfie Test Drive is designed to help build consumer brand associations though high quality user generated content.

Available today in the US App Store, Selfie Test Drive has already received high marks from consumers. The company has yet to begin a large marketing push; however, positive word-of-mouth referrals have helped the user base grow consistently since the launch. The company has already released one update, and plans to release additional updates over the next several months to coincide with strategic marketing events.

About Fob:
Playing things close to the vest, the company has been slow to release details about their flagship product, Fob. Currently under development, Fob will connect consumers with lenders and auto dealers to facilitate an enjoyable, and profitable, consumer driven vehicle purchase. Douglas will be showcasing Fob at the Web Summit booth, and more information will be available in November.

About the Founder
Before founding Fob, Jim Douglas was the leading young sales rep for Reynolds & Reynolds, the premier provider of automotive retail software in North America. With extensive knowledge of automotive finance regulations, in addition to sales Douglas was tapped to lead initiatives to improve system utilization, reporting performance, and overall market penetration of strategic products.

“I founded Fob after I bought my car, and had a truly terrible time doing so,” says Douglas. “Because auto dealers were my customers, I wasn’t thrilled to give them all my income and personal information. When I tried to buy a new car online, I couldn’t.” Experiencing the lack of true consumer focus first hand, Douglas founded Fob to create a consumer driven purchase experience.
