Lawrence D. Dr. Lawrence D. Dickinson has been in practice for more than 28 years. His career began in 1987, when he graduated from University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. He completed Neurosurgical Residency training at the University of Michigan in 1994 and a fellowship in Cerebrovascular Surgery at the University of Florida in 1995. He was an assistant professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Michigan from 1995 to 1998, before entering private practice in the bay area and founding Pacific Brain & Spine Medical Group with Dr. Jeffery Randall.
Board certified in neurological surgery, Dr. Dickinson diagnoses, treats and manages a wide range of conditions, and he provides both surgical and non-surgical treatment of brain and spine disorders. He is known as a specialist in minimally invasive techniques, having developed a minimally invasive surgery program for brain tumors and vascular malformations that introduced computer navigation systems into the operating room. This was adopted nationwide, and had a huge and beneficial impact on the treatment of these conditions.
Dr. Dickinson always keeps on top of the latest developments in neurological surgery, and he does this through being an active member of professional associations including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the Neurocritical Care Society.
