The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome James D. Palmer, MD, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in the Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Palmer is an experienced ophthalmologist with expertise in vitreo retinal surgery, macular diseases, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachments. He has been practicing for more than seventeen years and is currently serving patients at Northern California Retina Vitreous Associates Medical Group, a comprehensive dental practice located in San Jose, California. Dr. Palmer can also be found attending to patients at Mills-Peninsula Hospital, El Camino Hospital, and Good Samaritan Hospital. Over the years, he has participated in over 30 research trials devoted to macular and retinal conditions.
Dr. Palmer studied for his doctorate of medicine at Stanford University Medical School and graduated in 1992. He went on to complete an internship at St. Mary Hospital, residency at Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles, California, and fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Palmer is a board certified ophthalmologist by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is also a professional member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the California Academy of Ophthalmology. He feels that having paid close attention to patients’ needs has contributed crucially to building the successful career that he enjoys today.
