With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Celeste R. Lewis, RN, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. She is a distinguished Registered Nurse with twenty-five years of uniquely diversified experience in the nursing arena and a vast expertise in areas such as medical/surgical nursing, telemetry, ambulatory care, and travel nursing. Celeste is currently retired and lives in Apple Valley, California, where she is a volunteer Parish Nurse at her Lutheran Church. The Parish Nurse Program is quite large in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, with 800 Parish Nurses practicing throughout the USA and several foreign countries.
Celeste was awarded her nursing degree in 189 at Victor Valley College. In 1991, she was honored as Nurse of the Month and in 2000 as Nurse of the Year. Celeste was a featured speaker at Victor Valley School of Nursing in 1994 and 1999. From 1994 through 2004, Celeste worked throughout the USA as a Travel Nurse at some of the greatest hospitals, i.e. Johns Hopkins, Seton Medical Center, Swedish Medical Center, Strong Memorial, or Beth -Israel Deaconess in Boston. Her last ten years of nursing were in a local hospital in the Ambulatory Services Department. She credits her success to patient advocacy, flexibility, and compassion. In her spare time, she volunteers at church, reads, and writes.
