With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Heather Nunn, RN, BN, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. She is a Registered Nurse with forty-three years of experience in her field and extensive expertise in various areas of nursing, particularly coronary care, critical care, post-anaesthesia care, and intensive care. She is currently serving patients at The Prince Charles Hospital in Chermside, Queensland, Australia. The Prince Charles Hospital is a major teaching hospital in Brisbane’s north side with an emphasis in cardiac and respiratory medicine and cardiothoracic surgery.
Heather became an enrolled nurse in 1974 at The Wakefield Memorial Hospital and completed her registered nursing certificate in 1983 at The Royal Adelaide Hospital. Furthermore, Heather completed a postgraduate advanced nursing certificate at The Royal Adelaide Hospital in 1984. In 1993, she advanced her education with a bachelor degree of nursing awarded by Queensland University of Technology. She is a member of the Cardiac Society of Australia & New Zealand and the Australian College of Operating Room Nurses. She credits her success to her tenacity, enjoying teaching, furthering knowledge and education of both peers and patients. Recent professional interests have included preventative and supportive health and nutrition coaching - completing the health coaching program with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in January 2016. She spends her spare time at the book club and as family caregiver.
