Open Revelations – the year 2000
In Part1 we saw that the first six Seals dealt with world history up to the 20th century. Do the other prophecies of the book of Revelations now also fit into part of our history or are they still closed?
Lets first look at the last part of the 6th Seal. At the turn of the century people were expecting the day of the Lord to come. The rich and mighty were secretly preparing underground hide-outs, D.U.M.B.s, http://projectcamelot.org/underground_bases.html expecting great calamity. The apostle John portrayed this in Rev.6: “15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand.” (KJV)
But it wasn’t the Lords Day yet, as we can see in Rev. 7. “And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.” It was the time for the sealing of the 144000 out of all the tribes of the children of Israel, by an angel arising from the east. This time of “holding the four winds” is again depicted at the opening of the 7th Seal: “And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.” (Rev 8:1) According to biblical time half an hour represents about 7-8 days of our earth time. After the prayers of all saints were offered to the throne of God, “the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.” (Rev 8:5) When we now look at our history, we find the following: On the 8th January 2000 a magnitude 7.2 earthquake hit the Tonga Islands. Although there were more earthquakes in 2000, this one corresponds with the end of the “about half hour silence in heaven”. http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eqarchives/year/2000/2000_stats.php On January 18th 2000 the Lake Tagish meteorite hit earth in north-western British Colombia, Canada. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tagish_Lake_%28meteorite%29 Just a little bit later, on 14th July 2000 the biggest solar radiation event since 1989, called Bastille Day event, caused an S3 radiation storm on earth. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bastille_Day_event
Then, from Rev 8:6 onward John writes about the angels with the trumpets. It seems, therefore, that Trumpets follow the Seals in chronological order. Many of the learned men see it that way. Then they try to fit the seals, the trumpets and the bowls into the last seven year period and darkness again covers the prophecies.
After many hours of prayer the Lord showed me enough evidence in Scripture of prophecies going backwards and forward, such as Rev. 7:9-17, where John sees the multitude of people who “have come out of great tribulation” standing before the throne of God. Then there also are two verses, Rev 9:12 and 11:14, clearly stating the first and second woe to be in the past, going backwards. If the first two woes are past, then we also have to go back in time to look at the Trumpets. And when we do that, the Trumpets are clearly unsealed today.
Am I in any way priviledged to receive answers from our Lord? Not at all. It is written : Ask and you shall receive. So, whoever asks the Lord, believing in His word, will be given the Light he needs. And it is not only one person who is given all the Light. His body consists of many different parts, which all work together to make the whole. I have found that He will show me something and then confirm it by guiding me to another part of His body who has received the same or more light on a matter.
Thus each of us actually is supposed to do his part of the asking. Maybe the Lord has given more light on the year 2000 to one of you who read this, which He hasn’t shown me yet. We are not to hide our light, but shine it forth into the darkness while we still can.
