The Basis for 6th Trumpet + Bowl is given
In earlier articles I showed how I’ve come to conclude that there are only two more big Tribulation plagues outstanding. So, if you’ve not followed my writings, you will be somewhat in the dark now. You further may not agree with my view. I have no problem with that. As long as our freedom of speech still exists and some people are looking for answers, I will exercise the right to air and share the light I am given for all to consider.
Both, the 6th Trumpet and 6th Bowl in the book of Revelation refer to events at the Euphrates, which will impact the world to a larger or lesser extent. I believe John is talking about one and the same event in both the Trumpet and the bowl, namely the drying up of the river Euphrates.
The basis/foundation for this catastrophe is in place. It only needs the push of a button, a signature on an executive order so to say, to blow up.
Iraq, Syria and Turkey share the water resources of both the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Turkey is in control of the upper regions of both rivers, where the rivers start. In the 70’s Turkey started building dams, thereby reducing the flow of the Euphrates and Tigris. Since 2009 tension and crisis between the three countries over the water levels in Euphrates increased drastically. The crisis escalated in 2012 and was still building up during 2013. As late as November 2013 Iraq Business News reported this: “Davutoglu tried to explain Ankara’s official position on the water issue, indicating that Turkey was is willing to provide a guaranteed water allocation to Iraq during times of scarcity. To Davutoglu’s surprise, according to the source, Sistani rejected such an approach and expressed his desire for UN arbitration to resolve the long-standing water issue.”
From all this evidence it thus becomes clear that what John saw in the 6th Bowl is already busy happening: The Euphrates is drying up, the way for the kings of the East is prepared. At any moment Turkey can decide to use its controlling power over those water supplies as leverage against Syria and Iraq, especially in view of Turkey’s opposition to the Syrian Regime.
How does that impact the rest of the world?
It would be the catalyst for 7th Trumpet and 7th Bowl, the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Do those words imply WW3? NO. The 7th Bowl is a description of God’s battle against “all who had spread terror in the land of the living”. The 7th Trumpet is the explanation for it.
Now there are those who will counter with “BUT this and that has to happen first, so we aren’t that far into the Tribulation yet.”
Does YHWH not have the right to do as He wills? Does He who inspired the scribe, not know best what was in His mind? Does the fact that Scripture says “God does not change” take away His right to change His mind or the script? If we humans have and claim the right to change our minds, how much more so does He who created us?
