Apostolic Epistle of James is directed to the Diaspora, the Jewish Christians scattered in the gentile nations. Yet the tone of the book, definitely speaks to the Jewish believers and the law, but also has hallmarks of teachings viable to the Gentile Christians.
James is direct and forward, it is meant as a warning to those who were in the midst of bitter envy, strife, wars, fightings, lustings, killings, and much more. They were friends with the world and in this treatise, James warns them, teaches them. He also directs his attention to the Rich and wicked in the gentile nations; among whom also were Jewish as well. It is a hard hitting warning, James is; to all men, whether saved or not; that the Judge stands at the door.
