Biblical themes and language appear to suggest the Abomination of Desolation to occur on Purim. But when is Purim? and how do we know we are on the right time? There are four possibilities for the days of Purim this year in 2014.
The reason is simple, Purim is on the 14th and 15th of Adar. Some years, there is a 13th month- a second Adar. I still haven’t really come to a clear understanding on which month to keep Purim during a 13 month year. However, its seems logical to keep it in the 12th month during such a year. The reason is simple; the next month, the 13th month cannot be determined until after the designated time for Purim is past in the 12th month. One cannot always be certain about a 13th month until it arrives.
Pre-calculation and forecasting is not Biblical when it comes to Biblical Timekeeping for the purpose of keeping the Appointed Times or Feast Days. We are to employ physical observation of the creation such as sighting the First Crescent Moon, watching the Barley, discerning the constellations and considering the equinox.
Obviously, today, many of us are checking historical facts and future astronomical events which require calculation and some forecasting. However, it is important to distinguish between attempting to do this for the purpose of trying to understand the Scriptures versus attempting to do this in order to keep the Feasts, or confirming “who” is the Anti-Christ.
The start of this Biblical year in the spring of 2013 was divided. Therefore, it adds another two possible times for Purim. I believe the beginning of the Biblical year, Nisan in 2013, started one month later than what most of Judaism and Messianic Judaism observed.
Because of this disparity, this Biblical year, Purim falls on the same day for both schools of thought. According to the traditional Jewish Calendar, Adar II falls on the 16th and 17th of March. This is the 14th and 15th of Adar and is the 13th month. However, myself and many others started the Biblical year one month later in the spring of 2013. Therefore, Purim for those of us accounting for time this way also falls on the 16th and 17th of March. For us, this is the 12th month and is officially the days for Purim also.
This is the point I overlooked when drafting part three of the “Blood Moons, Jubilees and Daniel…“ presentation series (it can be found in the Teachings section of SolomonsPorchTV). This shifts Daniel’s 1,290 and 1,335 day counts from mid-February to mid-March. Obviously, since I believe the proper reckoning for the beginning of the Biblical new year starting in Nisan of 2013 was one month later than the traditional reckoning, I will conclude the real Purim is in mid-March. That’s one month later than what the published chart shows.
This throws another curve-ball or uncertainty into how to account for Daniel’s 1,335 day count. The end of it is at mid-Cheshvan and as of this writing, I don’t understand why. The most important point here is that the charts are base models that will better help us more effectively discern the times.
The question in my mind now is, will there be some type of earth change that will cause the counting of days or years to vary during the Great Tribulation itself? Keep in mind, chart three had certain assumptions and foundations that were described on the chart.
If Nisan 2014 (this spring) begins the final 3.5 year countdown AND if the model for the Book of Daniel 1,290 count is correct (according to chart three) then most definitely the Abomination of Desolation event is expected to occur mid-March, 2014 at the true dates of Purim according to the First Crescent sighting on Adar 14 and 15.
Discern for yourselves by reviewing the charts. I produced them to organize, simplify and document my own understanding based on verifiable Biblical themes and facts in light of significant geo-political events in the history of Israel which I thoroughly tried to research.
If the Abomination of Desolation does not happen at this time, the models in the charts will help better discern what may be approaching and what is being overlooked. If the Abomination does happen, well, we are in for much more and I will try to update everyone on SolomonsPorch.TV, Yahuah Elohim willing.
Thoughtful feedback and discussion is always welcome.
