Legend has it that on this day, the god Odin will be killed by the wolf Fenrir
The soil and the sky will be stained with poison and the sea will rear up
Prior to the apocalypse, three freezing winters would follow each other
The sound of the horn is supposed to call the sons of Odin to the battlefield, where Odin will ultimately be killed
If Vikings were here today, the sounding of a distinctive horn in York would have created chaos.
Will the World End on February 22, 2014 Viking Apocalypse Day?

Honest to God, some people are just total maroons. I guess the world is gonna end. No baseball this year, I guess.
Imagine how stressful it might be to think that TOMORROW’S THE END OF THE WORLD…
God warns His true believers about those who give dates. They are the false prophets. Therefore this does not stand for me as a minister.
It’s getting towards the end of the 22nd here in NZ and we’re still here…
More bilge.
If God’s so-called ministers can’t get it right (and they read the Bible) how can I expect these guys to even name the exact day???
What you mean you didn’t recognise how some of the elements involved are very similar to the claims of the later Christ-I-Anti religion?
No, you said that.
The world won’t end untill the Sun burns out. The Sun is about 4.5 billion years old. it has used up about half of its nuclear fuel (hydrogen). In about 5 billion years from now, the sun will begin to die.
As the Sun grows old, it will expand. As the core runs out of hydrogen and then helium, the core will contact and the outer layers will expand, cool, and become less bright. It will become a red giant star.
So the Earth will be here for atleast another 5 billion years so cheer up people.

That’s providing it’s nuclear and not electrical. If it’s electrical and it’s looking more likely than a giant nuclear reactor, then all bets are off as to how long it will last.
Have you noticed how science applies the latest technology to things as to how they work. Back in the Victorian era science claimed ‘the sun is a giant coal fire’. When we developed nuclear technology is when it was swapped to, ‘the sun is a giant nuclear reactor’.
Which is can’t be because the outside is hotter than the inside. it’s electrical.
Sure, see you on the flip side… oh wait a mo. I’m still here.
