AMAZING VIDEO-LAW AND GRACE – DOES GRACE MEAN YOU CAN LIVE ANY WAY YOU WANT TO? THINK AGAIN
CHURCH OF THE OPEN DOOR
J. VERNON MCGEE
This sermon was preached at the Church of the Open Door when McGee was the pastor. An amazing sermon, carefully thought out and prayed over. Every sentence is exact. It gets more powerful as he goes through it. I listened to this with my son and my wife last Sunday. My son, who had never heard McGee, said: “I never realized how shallow preaching is today until I heard this”.
Skip to 1:50 to avoid the introduction and get right to the sermon.
Mike,
I have to admit, you stay on target: The HOLY LAW of God is pure evil!!
Lets see; Christ who as the WORD by whom all thing were made and for whom all things were made, that Very God that spoke with Moses and gave Moses the Covenant which included the existing Law, existing from before creation, that very God had to come back as Jesus Christ and die so the evil Law He stuck us with could be taken off our backs. This is what you continually teach!!!!
WHAT BLASPHEMY!!!
You are going to get your wish very soon — complete lawlessness is soon to consume America. You will wish for the day that all obeyed the Commandment to do no murder.
You are wrong about how I feel about the Law.
Exaggerate much?
1 Timothy 1: 7-11 They want to become famous as teachers of the laws of Moses when they haven’t the slightest idea what those laws really show us. Those laws are good when used as God intended. But they were not made for us, whom God has saved; they are for sinners who hate God, have rebellious hearts, curse and swear, attack their fathers and mothers, and murder Yes, these laws are made to identify as sinners all who are immoral and impure: homosexuals, kidnappers, liars, and all others who do things that contradict the glorious Good News of our blessed God, whose messenger I am.
Mike,
I have read too much of your work, it all says the Law is bad for us and must be ripped off our backs, the opening to the sermon in this piece relates the law to pure evil and you loved it.
.
Remember that Mr and Mrs Law thing you sent me, Mr Law died and finally Mrs Law could live happily ever after with Mr Grace who had no demands, like obeying the Law. Obeying The HOLY Law of God is bad??
I John 2: 3, 4
3 “And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His
commandments.”
4 “He that saith I know him and keepeth not his Commandments is a liar and the
truth is not in him”
Mike how do you twist these Words of the Apostle John, they needs no interpretation.
John is speaking to converted disciples of Christ and tells them if any one,— like a Mike Clinton, — says “whose messenger I am’ and keep not His Commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him.”
And no matter how you say it Mike you abhor the perfect Law of God and teach against it each and every chance you get.
NO keeping the Commandments does not earn salvation, they are the duty of the servants of God. There is no reward for doing what you are commanded to do.
Here is whom you claim to serve telling you exactly what is written in the sentence above.
Luke 17:7 -10
7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?
8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
Mike here is one more:
II Peter 3: 21
21 “For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than after they have known it, to turn from the Holy Commandment delivered unto them.”
MIKE please explain to me if the Commandments were nailed to the stake (which they were not) how can the converted body of Christ turn from them? The very ones DELIVERED unto them?????
Mike I hate unrighteousness: the Law, the Statues and the Judgments all define RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Please explain what righteousness is with out using the Law?? YOU can not!
Truthseeker, did you listen to the whole sermon?
Mike
I could not listen to much, neither do I watch porn or much of anything today, its all bad.
Mike what you are doing is or will cause those that don’t have a depth to their understanding to think the Law was all a big mistake and God the Son had to remove the Father’s big mistake.
That The Son came to earth to remove the burden of the Law off our backs. That is an out right lie. The Son Gave the Law to Moses, not the Father, and it was given as a blessing.
You used 1 Tim1:7 which I agree with, but the translation you used is tilted to your dogma.
it says the Law is for sinners who hate God. What is Sin but the transgression of the LAW? Thus a sinner is one who transgresses the LAW! If there is no law there can be no sin.
in the scripture I use earlier it says if we turn from the Commandment it would be better if we had never known the truth! — Mike the Law is still in effect, we live by the Law or we are sinners — period. Sorry there is no in between.
Christ, by His death and shed blood, paid the penalty every single person that has ever lived has earned by breaking the HOLY Law of ‘God. Christ did not nail it to His Stake, that does not even make sense.
Christ took my personal sins with Him to His Grave. I am no longer under the penalty of the Law — as long as I do not willfully transgress the law i.e. SIN
Mike you are a big boy, I am sorry you hold the dogma you do, you know your way around the scriptures and you also know what God has in store for sinners: your fate is in your own hands and not mine, —- but the unlearned, with your constant hammering on the Law, can be hurt. I will challenge you every time you put out something against the HOLY RIGHTEOUS PERFECT LAW OF GOD.
Truthseeker, I posted a video that you are arguing against when you have no idea what it says.
You don’t keep the commandments so what’s your point? Don’t tell me you do, I will lose a lot more respect if you lie.
The Ten Commandments had a penalty if you broke them – death. If they were still being enforced you would be dead for eating out on the Sabbath.
Mike,
You really do not understand Jesus Christ or His Father.
You just told me the Sabbath is a hardship meant to make life difficult and miserable . The Sabbath REST represents the 1000 year Rest i.e. the rule of Jesus Christ. It is a rest from sin and a rest from back breaking labor for a meager life.
You equate obedience to God’s Law to the traditions of men and not to the perfect Law of liberty. Why would Christ call it the Law of liberty? Did Christ lie?
Mike if I get angry and for a moment hate a person in my mind, I have a High Priest in the Third Heaven and when I go to Him in repentance I am forgiven. I am still covered by His Blood.
Do I sin, you bet, do I want to NO. I know what we earn by sinning is death. But my Father knows I am but flesh and Blood and He has given me His Spirit which is His Seed, His Divine Righteous Holy Perfect Nature and by the circumcision with out hands He and Christ are cutting away little by little my carnal human nature and replacing it with His Divine Perfect Righteous Nature.
Mike your hatred of the Law of God is clouding your judgment.
mike,
I am not arguing against the sermon I could not watch, I am arguing against all of your past comments and past articles. They all make the same point.
Truthseeker does not keep the commandments, cannot keep the commandments, and depends on the grace of Christ alone to get him to heaven, but condemns everyone who says what he is now saying. Go figure!
Mike,
You are one confused man! and you want to teach folks?
and You still are under the catholic dogma that heaven is the reward of the Saved??
So Christ repeated the old testament scripture that says the Meek shall inherit the earth and follows that in Revelation with the Saints will reign as kings and priest with Him on Earth, but you are going to heaven??? Good luck with that!
Mike I never said I could obey the Law perfectly as did Christ, Christ is the only one with out sin. I look to the sacrifice of Christ for forgiveness, Not obeying the Law
If you will go back over my comments you will find the Word of God has painted you into a corner you can never get out of. There is no reward for keeping the Commandments and never was,
Christ states it is our DUTY. The Law defines Righteousness, so you must live an unrighteous life by your own admission.
Mike your words blatantly give the message to anyone with a mind — “The Law of God is bad for mankind”. And I will point it out every time you say it.
TS,
Is this or is this not grace:
1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
—John 8:1-11
am123
I wondered when you would show up.
read the last 4 words in your quote. “Go and SIN no more” OH OH! Christ did not take away the bad evil old Holy Righteous Law. Christ said STOP sinning!!
I do not use the word grace as it has become meaningless. It has 4000 meanings. I doubt you and Mike even agree completely. Grace is not a license to sin.
Christ said He would not condemn her.
Christ had not yet been offered as our sacrifice for sin so this women could not have been forgiven. The one of the points Christ was making we are all sinners including you and me , we having no standing to judge others, and probably Christ was showing the men each was worthy of stoning as was this women.
Christ came to show mercy to sinners, Christ came to CALL sinners to repentance and NOT the the SELF righteous.
am1123 you and Mike twist scripture, you both follow catholic dogma for the most part and I hate the dogma of that church and all her daughters as well.
The Holy Law of God is Righteousness and Truth, can either of you grasp that fact?
Shared 169 times but only 129 views. Yeah, right!
It was an excellent sermon Mike. We are sanctified by the Holy Spirit. As it says in the sermon, we are called to the higher level of grace, not down to the lower level of the Law.
And I believe that is the problem with TS and those like him. They seek not the Holy Spirit and the higher level of grace, they seek the lower level of the Law.
am123, like you, I thought that was the most powerful point in a powerful sermon. The Law is a lower plane, Christians are called to a much higher one and they must demonstrate it in how they walk down here.
The constant lie that we are accused of is that grace means you can live any way you want to. I thought his closing question to the audience was right on. ” Be honest with yourself today” he said; “we are called to demonstrate that we walk pleasing to the Lord down here”, then he said ” IS YOUR WALK PLEASING TO THE LORD?”
Then he added that this walk cannot be done without the Holy Spirit; that we should start everyday asking God to help us do what we cannot do in our own strength.
POWERFUL!
AM 123,
What rubbish! “higher level of grace”
Am I to understand if you attain a higher level of grace — more SIN is allowed?
In the last chapter of the last Book in the Old Testament Malachi says this:
4, Remember ye the LAW of Moses My servant which I Commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel the Statutes and Judgments”
One of the last commands in the last Book is to remember the Law and both of you fellows walk about telling the unlearned to forget the LAW that they should follow you to that HIGHER level of Grace: the HOLY Law of God only for those on a much lower level, the Law is only for the stupid, the weak.
What both of you espouse can not be proven by logic nor scripture, when a scripture is given that calls you liars you just ignore it. So we will wait until Jesus Christ comes and sorts this out. You can explain to Him why the Holy Law He gave to Moses is harsh and burdensome.
No Truthseeker, a higher level of grace means less sin. I doubt that you could have a leadership position in a grace church. Most grace preachers do not watch TV, go to movies, do not drink alcohol, cannot be divorced etc. Most will put someone of the membership role for immoral behavior.
The thing is they do this because they want to, not because they have to. If you want to change someone, change their desire; don’t give them a list of rules. God gave the Jews a bunch of rules because they didn’t have the grace of the Holy Spirit that we have. They had to be restrained by force.
TS,
You said:
“Am I to understand if you attain a higher level of grace — more SIN is allowed?”
No, that is a misunderstanding. As Mike said, it means less sin. Or if I may reword that a little, a higher level of grace enables one to sin less.
You said:
“What both of you espouse can not be proven by logic nor scripture”
Jeremiah spoke of this higher, better covenant:
“But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
— Jeremiah 31:33
Grace changes you from the inside out, transforming you into the image and likeness of Jesus.
Grace builds us up:
“And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”
—Acts 20:32
TS,
Do you consider yourself under the law or under grace?
“What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.”
—Romans 6:15
TS,
You regard Saturday as the Sabbath, which, according to Paul, is fine. But I regard every day alike, which, according to Paul, is fine as well:
5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
—Romans 14:5-6
So do you agree with Paul or not?
Amazing!, … did you know you can swallow standing on your head?
God’s brilliant design the epiglottis.
The Almighty created man with needs … for Him…for food, h2o & companionship. God allowed man to experience loneliness from the begining. God then took from man to supply one of man’s needs.
Interesting!
God’s design of our small simple flapper “epiglottis” reminds us of His grace everytime we swallow. It involuntarily unmeritorious ly functions, keeping us alive; This elastic cartilage is a guard, a gatekeeper by slaming shut protecting the entrance to the windpipes directing food to the gullet on its way to the stomach. Without it food would literally clog our windpipes & we would choke to death.
Man has been a beneficiary of God’s grace from the get go in Eden. God’s Commandments ARE & have been the bounderies of His grace since the begining. And they still are today. Anything outside the boundaries of God’s Commands is a violation of the grace of God. So, from the Garden, we learn that compliance with the grace of God means doing it God’s way. Any other way will have dire consequences.
Sound familiar.?… Is grace God’s Law?
As long as they obeyed the mandates of God and did not overstep the boundaries, it was the best of the best. However, when man violated the Commandments of God, then the consequences were dire. The whole world reeled under the impact of sin. Not only did man lose his spiritual relationship with God, the animals and all of nature suffered also (Romans 8:20-22).
Grace is a simple concept. There is no need to become confused or lost in the rhetoric. And there is no need, really, to split hairs. The principle of grace is understood by most people whether they realize it or not. Even dogs understand grace. How? They understand the difference between blessing and cursing. When their master is gracious to them, they appreciate it; and when he is angry, they are hurt. Children understand grace. They know when their parents are happy with them, that is good; but when their parents are displeased with them, that is not good. However, when grace is applied to God, people draw a mental blank. Perhaps this is because dogs have better relationships with their masters than most people do with God.
Deuteronomy 11:26-30
The concept of grace is as simple as black and white, just like God’s Law, blessing and cursing. The Lord God taught the children of Israel this concept by using the illustration of two mountains they would encounter when they entered the Promised Land. He said, “See that mountain over there – Gerizim!” Now, everyone would be able to see something as big as a mountain. So He told them, “Mt. Gerizim represents blessing.” Then He told them, ”And the mountain across the valley (within shouting distance) is Mt. Ebal. Mt. Ebal is cursing.” So the concepts of blessing and cursing related to God are illustrated by two mountains. God is big, very big. With Him, you can have big blessing or you can have big cursing.
Almighty God explains that He is setting before the children of Israel “a blessing and a curse.” In the Hebrew this is a rhyme. “Blessing” isberakah and “curse” is qelalah. The phrase is: berakah w’ qelalah. This made it easy to remember, as if anyone could forget the visual illustration. As a sidelight. The Lord’s lesson here is the way memory experts teach. Rhymes help. Also visualization of a concept anchors it in your right lobe, which is a powerful memory jogger.
Blessing or cursing are important to everyone. God determines blessing or cursing. The blessing is received “if you will listen to the Commandments of the Lord your God” (verse 27). Actually, “listen to” is shama`, which means “to hear and obey.” So the blessing of God was available to all who would “hear and obey the Commandments of God.”The verse continues, “which I am Commanding you today.” The Hebrew verb is tsawah, Pi’el participle, which is very strong. This phrase is a reiteration of a direct order. It is equivalent to saying in our vernacular, “which I am issuing as a direct order today” or “which I (God) am directing you to do today.” This is a mandate, a very forceful way of stating that the Commandments of God are directives that must be obeyed explicitly or the consequences will be dire. The authority of God is clearly expressed by the added statement.
God’s Commandments in Deuteronomy were given before the children of Israel entered the Promised Land. They were given while they were still wandering around in the desert. These Commandments had to be learned to understand the grace of God & to get to the mountain of blessing. The message is clear: Blessing and cursing belong to God. Those who want blessing can have it. Blessing will be forthcoming when we come to God, hear & obey His Commandments. But man does not make his own blessing. God does. For those who choose to disobey the direct orders of Almighty God, the consequences are given in verse 28: “and the curse, if you do not listen to the Commandments of the Lord your God.” So God curses people on the basis of their disobedience to His Commandments. That is very clear – as clear as a mountain. Here’s the opposite graphic illustration. For those who reject the blessing of God, they will receive an equal amount of cursing. We make the volitional choice to orient to the grace of God in His Commandments & receive blessing or to reject it and suffer the consequences, which will be dire. If we reject the blessing of God, we will be forced to orient to the justice of God.
Remember the
Just because you got the monkey of your back doesn’t mean the circus left town.
Somethings in life are hard to swallow, press on Trust God & keep swallowing!
Mike and am123
Lets take these one by one:
Mike,
“God gave the Jews a bunch of rules”:
MIKE – this is exactly what I have been saying: YOU SAY this — in all your articles — to you the perfect Holy Law of God is nothing more then a worthless bunch of rules!
Thanks you for showing us your true feeling again.
David is called by God ‘a man after My own heart’ which means nature, God’s perfect nature,, Why? Ps 119:97 “O how love I thy Law it is my meditation all the day” vs 98 “Thou thorough thy commandments hast made me wiser then mine enemies for they are ever with me.”
David will be king over all 12 tribes of Israel because the worthless bunch of rules that David loves made him wiser then the fools that think they are a worthless bunch of rules:
Mike How say you God gave the Jews the laws? in 2 Kings 16 the term Jew is used for the very first time and the House of Israel is at war with the Jews i.e. the House of Judah.
Mike there are 12 tribes, the slang term Jew comes from JU – DAH, the Ju’s. Until you learn the truth you will be remain in confusion.
Mike I would not set foot in a Sunday keeping grace church(building), Drinking alcohol is a sin??? where is that in the 10 Commandments? Watching TV ???
Mike again you are talking about rejecting the Commandments of God and keeping the traditions of MEN!
That is your whole persona.
The Grace of the Holy Spirit?? Do either of you even understand what the Holy Spirit is??
am123 brings up Jeremiah 31, the Old Covenant was a physical contract with physical promises.
The New Contract is a Spiritual Contract with Spiritual promises. :How do you suppose God will write His Law in our Inward parts? The Holy Spirit is the Holy SEED of God the Father it is His Divine Perfect Holy Nature, His Righteousness.
By the circumcision with out hands Christ is cutting away our carnal human nature and replacing it by the Holy Spirit with the Divine Sinless Righteousness Perfect Nature of God the Father. The converted Saints of God will want to live by every WORD of God because they have the very sinless Nature of the Father IN THEM. They are Spiritual begotten by the Father, They are to be born again as immortal Spirit in the First resurrection.
Are the Saint perfect after receiving the Holy Spirit, by the laying on of hands I might add — no,, the circumcision take what ever time that converted person remains in the flesh. The Converted Saints of Christ are to LIVE by every Perfect Divine Word of God which is the Law, the Statutes and the Judgments.
God’s Law is Truth, is the Definition of Righteousness. Do the Saints stumble you bet!! Does Christ who has been tempted in the flesh as we have, have compassion on us and as our High Priest goes to our Father and ask for forgiveness when that Saint repents of that sin—- Absolutely without question
— that Mr Clinton and AM123 is the Grace or Kindness of our Father!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Am123,
“not under the Law but under Grace: WOW, it does not say no longer subject to the Law it says no longer under the ‘condemnation’ of the Law – Christ paid the penalty we have incurred for our sins, we are no longer under the sentence of death.
If the Law is removed the need for Christ’s sacrifice and payment is also removed. No AM123 my Savior Jesus Christ removed from off me the debt I owed for my transgressions of His Holy Law. He removed the debt and not the Law.
am123,
The Holy Sabbath created on the 7th Day of Creation, one of the seven acts of creation is now any day??
Show me where this is clear — show me where it was changed to Sunday, Show me where God who made it a penalty of death for not observing the Sabbath changed His mind. The Very God that Says “I CHANGE NOT”
Romans 14 is about the newly converted, the ones who do not understand as yet the deep things of God.
Show me where this is speaking about the Sabbath and the Holy Day because they stand together.
Go to vs 23 this is talking about eating. Vs 21 explains this further, vs 6 “He that eateth eateth to the Lord”
I can not over come the fact neither of you know how to rightly divide the Word of God.
I am right now contemplating a paper using a few scriptures to challenge you, scriptures that disprove the basis of your dogma of Gods’ Holy LAW.
By the way Natsa, your comment was outstanding, it is way over the heads of a few we know
TS,
You said:
“If the Law is removed the need for Christ’s sacrifice and payment is also removed.”
I never said the Law was removed. I, and Paul, said we are not UNDER the Law.
You said:
“Show me where this is clear — show me where it was changed to Sunday, Show me where God who made it a penalty of death for not observing the Sabbath changed His mind.”
I showed you in Romans 14:5-6 that regarding the Sabbath, let every man make up his own mind on the matter. Here it is again:
5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
That’s pretty clear and to the point. If you want to go above and beyond what Paul said, that’s up to you.
heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Word will not pass away. this is the Messiah speaking. this verse is repeated. matt. 24:35, mark 13:31, luke 21:33. Yahushua is the same, yesterday, today, and forever, hebr. 13.8. for I am Yahuah, i do not change, mal. 3:6. where do you read His Laws, His Words will ever change? we are saved by the covering atonement of the Messiah in case we accidentally sin or are still learning His Laws. we should confess that we sinned and repent. not do it again. why is there judgement day? will we be judged by our sins? yep. revelations 22:14, Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life. i’m going to repeat Truthseekers very important verse that no one could possible misinterpret: 1 john 2, “He that saith I know him and keepeth not his Commandments is a liar and the
truth is not in him.” we can not be saved by the Law cause no one is able to keep all His laws perfectly, but we must try to do His will and word to show that we love Him. you can not receive His set-apart Spirit if you are a will-full sinner. i wonder about some people who claim to have His Spirit. the law is for only bad people does not make sense. His Feast days are good Laws, His Sabbath Day is for our benefit. you all don’t like to rest? how about the 7 year Sabbath rest for the land? He made the unclean food Laws only to help us stay healthy. i suggest you look up all the bible passages about blindness and eyes not open. this happens to people who want to be blinded to His law. the devil does not want you to keep Yah’s Laws. i only tell you this out of love and hope you will make it to the new heaven and earth to come. peace.
It has been said that you were born in sin.Sin is nothing other then the error that is the movement out of the spirit and into identification with something that matters. The individual, being a separate part of the Universe is said to be in error.
In Greek the word sin means to miss the mark. The bible speaks of all beings having been born in sin and of having come short of the glory of God.All entities who are born into the physical must be natural law,be polarized or out of balance with the ultimate harmony of the non-polarized universe in order to achieve physical embodiment. This then is the meaning of sin or of missing the mark of total Universal Consciousness.Becoming less polarized .There is no need to be ashamed or feel guilty for having been born in the flesh and out of spirit as many preachers might suggest.Though if one enjoys such guilt one may indulge in the guilt of having been born. But it only adds to the imbalance of the soul.
Many think they understand the bible because they can quote passages and words. But to often they miss the true meaning because they worship the superficial names and words instead of their deeper sometimes hidden or symbolic meanings.
Cosmic Awareness
i really get tired of going back and forth about the Law and grace. i have told my loved ones to keep Yah’s commandments, all that is possible, the Torah, and they are not able to hear me. it’s sad. i love them. ah, one more bible verse and put it to rest. ephs. 6:11 and 17, “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:” ya see? Your set-apart Spirit will ONLY tell you the Word. His commandments are His Word, right? the point is, if you are not doing His commandments, you do not have His given Spirit. are you blocking out the Spirit’s Words? think about it. you can’t stand against the devil cause your armor is missing. wow. when i was just coming into the real Truth the way He wanted me to worship Him, i noticed, all of a sudden, the words in the bible, many of them mean the Torah. for example, works, wisdom, clean, commandments, law, sin, the word, covenant, transgressor, righteousness, fruits, trespass, truth, way, obedience, servant, holy, knowledge, uprightness, stumbling-block. Yahushua is the Word, all the Words. jeremiah 6:16, “Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.” “old paths” would be Torah. my love to you. may you have the peace of Yahushua.
The Apostle Paul said we are not under the law, but under grace:
“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”
— Romans 6:14
Case closed.
am123
It states “under the Law” what does that mean?
To you it means you are not subject to the Law, it means you can not be condemned by the Law. you have a license to live freed from the Law i.e. the license of grace.
To me it means I am not under the condemnation of the Law but under forgiveness.
The Law can only kill me if I willfully and on purpose sin against my Father and His Son..
Your whole dogma rest upon your own reading of the Scriptures but to believe as you do you must pitch out hundreds of other scripture that Say for instance “if you say you know Christ and keep not the Law you are a liar.”
The case is not closed, except in your own mind.
am123, really? where does Romans 14 mention one word about the Sabbath, you hate the Sabbath just like Cllinton, you jump at straws to rid yourself of The Holy Sabbath of God. You Know that Sabbath that Jesus Christ is Lord of because He created it on the 7th Day of Creation.
You don’t think Romans 14:5-6 are talking about the Sabbath? Why wouldn’t the Sabbath apply?
“Your whole dogma rest upon your own reading of the Scriptures”
As does yours.
am123
this is worthless conversation. When I get time I will come with a format, point by point you can refute the scriptures that states your dogma is your own.
That’s OK Truthseeker. Don’t do it on my account. We’re not making any headway, time to move on to the next topic.
am123
we will move on to TRUTH.
