Government Secrecy, Testing, and Morality bring the truth of what really goes on behind closed doors. At times we find out about such projects, secret ones. Like the Manhattan Project, which has been the subject of a book, movies, and much discussion? We all know today what it was and how the Atom Bomb came into being. It was during war, it was secretive, and the government did it. Yet, if it were not for secrecy could the government of gotten it done? Where do the moral and immoral realities set in when a government keeps secrets from its citizens? That is the question! In the Manhattan project, life fared well; so to speak and America continued on its course. But the reality of secret projects is a truth that even today the Government admits they have secrecy. There are projects that are being done as I write this. Americans are involved, professionals, scientists, and others the Government deems that it needs to do its work. But again, what about the moral judgment of a Government who wields its power to keep secrets and do projects as they have been doing. Projects that in actuality threaten life and limb, yet for the greater good, the moral judgment is weighed and the go ahead is given. While the project moves forward, even at Americans risk of life and or limb, the morality says; “It is okay, this is for the greater good!”
