The Egyptian king Akenaton began his monotheism in Egypt some 36 years after Moses had already died. Joshua destroyed Jericho and the people buried in the graves dug shortly afterwards were buried with Amenhotep III’s scarabs since Amenhotep III was the last Egyptian pharoah having trade with Jericho before Jericho’s destruction and the Tel Amarna Letters the city of Jericho is absent in paying tribute to Amenhotep III’s son Akenaton so Jericho was indeed destroyed in Amenhotep III’s reign. Joshua placed a curse on Jericho (Joshua 6;26) The curse lasted for 600 years until Israel king Ahab came to power before Jericho was rebuilt. (1 Kings 16:30-34) This backs up the archaeologist discovery of Amenhotep III scarabs proving Joshua destroyed Jericho in Amenhotep III’s reign since there was no trade with Jericho for at least 600 years afterwards.
The crocodile goddess Sobek was queen Sobekneferu’s goddess she worshipped. Joseph had served three Egyptian kings and their reign of years are given in the Oxford History of Egypt by Ian Shaw. 2000 A.D. Senusret III reigned 39 years, Amenemhet III 45 years & Amenemhet IV 9 years = 93 years! Joseph age 17 (Genesis 37:2 & Genesis 50:26) lived in Egypt 93 years and Joseph died at age 110. Joseph would see the third Hebrew generation in Egypt. (Genesis 50:23) Joseph died right before queen Sobekneferu came to power.
Senusret III reign he annexed Canaan after attacking a region in the area of Shechem where Jacob and his family had fled. Joseph worked with both the economies of Egypt and Canaan. Execration Texts were written in Senusret III’s reign showing us some Egyptians were mad when Joseph bought all the land for the pharoah except the priest’s land. (Genesis 47:20-22) The Egyptians did not like the fact in Senusret III’s 8th year he stopped all Nubian immigration into Egypt and let the Canaanites start trickeling in and they settled at Avaris in great numbers Senusret III’s 22nd year the second year of the global famine. (Genesis 41:57) This famine struck the whole world.
These artifacts applied to Joseph would have had to been produced in the Amenemhet/Senusert Egyptian kings reigns and not in Akenaton’s reign.
