Prophecy Clock – Timeline – Gog and Magog

Now, we get to the reason why I started this series – time. The more that we can understand the timing of future events, the more that we can prepare. And, the more joy that we can have, knowing that our redemption ‘draweth nigh’ (Luke 21:28).
And no, what we are going to discuss is NOT something that we can be dogmatic about. A lot of this will be guesswork – but, hopefully ‘educated guesswork’. What I hope to do is take what we know with absolute surety, and build on top of that – which is why I made such a fuss about The Rapture, yesterday.
By the way, when I talked about the ‘three absolute proofs’ that made a pre-tribulation rapture impossible, I did NOT mean to indicate a timing or order to those ‘three absolute proofs’. The reign of the Antichrist MUST start before the Tribulation. The Tribulation MUST start before the resurrection. And, we which are ‘alive and remain’ are taken up closely after the ‘dead in Christ’ are resurrected. Sorry about any confusion, my focus gets a little too narrow sometimes.

Prophecy Clock – Timeline – Gog and Magog
There are several things that we are sure will happen within the 23 year period that I talked about last Wednesday:
- Financial Collapse
- Israeli Natural Gas Production
- Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38 and 39)
- Fire from God (Ezekiel 39:6)
- Salvation of Israel (Ezekiel 36 through 39, Zechariah 12 and 13)
- Obama leaves/does-not-leave office
- Syria and Egypt destroyed and transformed (Isaiah 17 and 19)
- Rise of a new global monetary system
- Rise of the Antichrist AND his religion
- Persecution from the Antichrist for 3.5 years (Revelation 12)
All of that will happen, and they probably happen in that order. Probably. The next challenge is to understand how much time should be connected to those events.
Gog and Magog in 2016
It takes time to gather an army and coordinate logistics. And yes, logistics is an enormous challenge. As the saying goes, an army marches on its stomach.
How much time would it take for Iran, North Africa, Russia and whoever else to get together for an attack on the Middle East?
Well, relations between Russia and Iran aren’t firm enough yet, but they are certainly moving in that direction. We will need to see what happens over this Summer, but I think that the earliest that Gog and Magog could happen would be the Summer of 2016.
And yes, it MUST happen in the Summer. Fighting during the rainy season would be a recipe for disaster.
And, there’s an interesting correlation to 2016.
Obama leaves/does-not-leave office
The midterm elections in the US this Fall will probably leave Obama even weaker than before. The Democrats may even lose their majority in the Senate. (Poor Harry Reid) Couple that with a weak foreign policy and a weakening military, and Russia might think that they have a ‘free pass’ for military activity.
Also, if it seems like a more hawkish Republican presidential candidate is going to win the 2016 elections, (assuming that Obama doesn’t make a play to stay in power) Russia would want to shoot for a Summer 2016 attack on Israel.
And, 2016 will also be the year when Israel’s natural gas production starts to rapidly increase.
Israeli Natural Gas
The Israeli Tamar gas field started delivering natural gas last year, and they plan to start exporting gas in 2016. The Leviathan field may also be producing natural gas by 2016. Whatever the exact dates for production and export, Israeli Natural gas poses a threat to the Russian natural gas monopoly for Europe.
That’s a big hook in the jaws of Gog (Ezekiel 38:4).
Iranian and Russian Natural Gas
The other side of this is the Iranian Natural Gas pipeline that is supposed to go through to Syria. Right now, that’s not looking so good. Both Russia and Iran are dedicated to making that pipeline happen, but the Syrian civil war is stopping it. This Iran-Iraq-Syria pipeline won’t happen until the area has been pacified.
Hmmmm… ANOTHER big hook in the jaws of Gog.
Take all of this together, and you have a recipe for a massive war in the Middle East.
But, will it mean a war in the Summer of 2016?
Financial Collapse
There’s another element to all of this – Financial Collapse. We’ve been predicting a collapse for years now, and we’ve been amazed that the US has held on for so long. But, there are limits to how long the central banks can keep this up.
Some very well connected people have been saying that 2014 is the beginning of the end, and I am prepared to agree. And, this financial collapse will have a direct impact on US armed forces.
If this collapse accelerates fast enough and far enough, America will lose the ability to field a large enough military to block a Russian incursion into the Middle East. Spare parts inventories will go to zero, aircraft will be grounded and ships will be unable to leave port.
And, the financial collapse will not hurt Russia nearly as much as the US.
Summer of 2018
Now, I threw out 2016 as a possibility. And, there ARE some indications that it could happen then. However, there are strong indications that it could be later.
For instance, we believe that Obama and his minions may stage a ‘soft coup’ and seek for a way to stay in power and ‘finish the job they started’. This would cause the US to descend into a death spiral of civil war and destroy any external power that the US had.
In one fell swoop, a massive power vacuum would be created that Europe would be unprepared to fill, and that would leave Russia and China to do what they want on the global chessboard.
Under THOSE conditions, the primary date could be the Summer of 2018. Russia, Iran and North Africa would have the Summer of 2017 to work on their coordination and their integration.
Also, Vladimir Putin has a bit of a legal problem that will rear its ugly head in 2018. If he wants to remain in the presidency, he will need to make a case for being ‘president-for-life’. War in the Middle East just might be the reason he needs.
Also, if the collapse of the American financial system is slow enough, it might not impact US military preparedness until 2017 or 2018. In such a case, Russia would want to hold off until that happens.
It’s In The Timing
I lean towards a 2018 time frame, but it could go either way. Rapid financial collapse, atrocious foreign policy, bungled militarism and social upheaval in the US could push us toward 2016.
For those of you thinking that Gog and Magog is set to happen later than 2018, you will need to make a case for a different set of players than the ones that we see now – and maybe a different set of reasons for playing. And frankly, I just don’t see Vladimir Putin giving up his big chance to grab everything.
Vacuums
Please also remember that power does not like a vacuum. A collapse of American power will draw one, or all, of the big players to step in and fill that vacuum. If they do not, they risk losing the power that they already have.
And yes, America WILL collapse. There can be no other possible future for the United States, and that will mean a future devoid of international power.
America’s retreat from the central stage will cause a massive upheaval in the balance of power. A lot will depend on how the US will manage that retreat.
We’ll See
We’ll see what happens, but it should be clear to everyone that the next four years are going to be… interesting. And, if Gog and Magog happens in 2018, then that knocks four years off of the 23 years left on the prophecy clock.

The gog and Magog of the old testament is not the same got and Magog of the new testament you need to study more and ask God for more wisdom instead of your own interpretations 2peter 1:20

All is needed for the Gog/Magog war to start would be the Psalms 83:1-18 war along with the destruction of Damascus Isaiah 17:1-14 must happen first.
Hezbollah territories are listed in Psalms 83:7 and Assad is matched with the Isaiah prophecy and both forces are united with Iran so should the Jeremiah 49:35-39 prophecy of Bushehr Elam/Iran nuclear site as well as others nuclear sites were to be destroyed, this would trigger the Psalms 83 war and Assad’s war against Israel where Israel destroys both forces. (1) Damascus an Arab city would be destroyed. (2) Hezbollah would be destroyed (3) All the Arab Sunni Jihadist would be destroyed. (4) Israel would then live safely Ezekiel 38:11 for a short time taking down its walls which protected Israel from terrorism (5) Then Russia and Russia’s allies seeing the wealth Israel has acquired by exporting oil and natural gas accumulating great wealth- a spoil (Ezeekiel 38:13) at that time they will attack israel.
Gog and Magog do not arrive until after the 1,000 year Era of Peace also called the “temporal kingdom,” during which Christ will reign not in person but through the sacraments.

Anonymous, Check out Ezekiel 38-39 chapters and you will find the 2600 year old prophecy. Ezekiel 38:8 says when the Jews return out of the nations returning home in the last days this prophecy will take place. This war happens right before the tribulation begins. Your Gog/Magog in Revelation is the second Gog/Magog which appears after Jesus Christ’s 1,000 year reign.

The Gog and Magog Prophecies Will Not Be Fulfilled for Over 1,000 Years:

Just because there is a ‘Gog and Magog’ in Revelation, it doesn’t mean that the events in Ezekiel are the same events in Revelation.
When you try to compare both events, it’s clear that they don’t match.
Just because John Little is a somewhat unusual name doesn’t mean that everyone named John Little is the same person.
Why do you think the Gog/Magog events described in Ezekiel and Revelation are different? They are not. For example, in Ezekiel, it says this:
“And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,”
—Ezekiel 38:11
This is not before the Millennial Reign. The residents of the land will only be living in peace and unwalled villages during the 1,000 years of peace in the Millennial Reign.

It is oxymoronic to talk about aspects of a ‘faith’, in terms of “absolute proofs”… Dishonest, you are misrepresenting the truth and the fact it would not be a ‘faith’ if you had any kind of proof let alone “absolute proofs”.
Such a statement reveals your real motive, politics. Claiming fiction as fact is political spin, and only politics needs a consensus to operate. It’s thus not about truth but getting as many to agree with your personal interpretation of reshuffled, rewritten, and regurgitated ancient literature.
