Astronomers say they have discovered a star cluster that has been thrown in the direction of Earth at a speed of more than two million miles per hour.
The cluster, named HVGC-1, originated in the M87 galaxy and is expected to endlessly drift through space, rocketing through the voids between other galaxies.
“Astronomers have found runaway stars before, but this is the first time we’ve found a runaway star cluster,” said Nelson Caldwell of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, who is the lead author on a study which is set to be published in the The Astrophysical Journal.
HVGC stands for hypervelocity globular cluster. These clusters are groupings of thousands of stars contained inside a ball a few dozen light-years across.
The team found HVGC-1 using the MMT Telescope in Arizona after spending years studying the space around M87. A computer then calculated the speed of the cluster. Read more

Where did this star cluster come from and how many light years away is it? Light travels at 186,000 miles per second, or around 667 million miles an hour. Traveling at only 2 million miles an hour, even from only one light year away it would would take over 30 million years to reach here. The nearest galaxy to the milky way is what? Millions, billions of light years away? So I dont think we have a thing to worry about from this rogue star cluster, if it even exists and is headed straight towards us. We’ll all be long gone from other causes before it ever gets anywhere near here.
The stars are a third of the angels that followed Satan to try and overthrow God they tried in the first earth age and lost there will be a war in Heaven and Michael will cast Satan and his angels to earth look out when that happens cause Satan will only have a short time on earth to deceive as many as he can
In theory we have been living in the ‘end times’ since Jesus died. The confusing thing for me is the things Jesus spoke about above (Matthew 24:33-34) and in Luke 21:32 “Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.” He is saying they would happen in ‘THIS generation’ – meaning HIS generation, the people who were alive at the same time as him.
Either the Saints and Jesus are lying about the time scale, or today’s doom mongers are being false prophets themselves…
