AMERICAN INDIANS RESPOND TO MIKE CLINTON’S “ALTER TO THE UNKNOWN GOD” – YOU HAVE GOT TO SEE THIS!!!

Baptism of Pocahontas

In my two previous articles about Melchizedek and The Alter to the Unknown God I wrote that God has revealed Himself through General Revelation to the entire world. (See the articles by clicking “more stories” by my picture) Paul says that the entire world has been told by creation. Romans 10: 18 “But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.”

Paul is referring to Psalm 19. Here is Taylor’s paraphrase of that Psalm: “The heavens are telling the glory of God; they are a marvelous display of his craftsmanship. Day and night they keep on telling about God. Without a sound or word, silent in the skies, their message reaches out to all the world.”

Missionaries have found that even the most primitive people know about the one true God. They have their own name for Him. The primitive people obviously do not know what the English word “God” means. When a missionary defines it for them they will say that they know what the missionary is talking about and then tell the missionary their word for the Most High, Creator God. For an eye opening book on this read “Eternity in their Hearts” by missionary Don Richardson.

Yes, they know about God and our job is to tell them the rest of the story: that the True God has sent the Lord Jesus so they can be reconciled to Him.

I had a girl take serious issue with a comment on my article by an Indian girl. She insisted that we must always use our name for God. Interestingly, the writers of the New Testament used “Theos,” the Greek name for God. Etymologically Theos can be traced back to “Zeus”. I guess she will have issues with them too. (Zeus was originally a generic name for the One True God but it later became permanently attached to a false diety and this is why the New Testament writers chose Theos instead.)

The girl then added that the American Indian name for God, “The Great Spirit”, was a demon. Here are the comments from Indians about this, just as they are written.

THE COMMENTS:

Mike Clinton - ”did you read my article? It is a different approach to spread the gospel. It is an attempt to break through the clichés and dust that “religion” in America has covered it with.”

Andez Bignell – “As a First Nation Aboriginal woman of Canada, I agree, a different approach and true.”

D.L. – “I’m sorry Michael do not believe bamboozling people with lies will help them in the long run. The simple fact is that native americans pray to false gods, they pray for “animal spirits” to help them, this is a false religion and like any other false religion is from the pits of hell. Do I show a mormon or muslim the truth by telling their god is the same as my god. If the gods are the same, then why do they need to know a new one? Yes, I believe there are several flaws. We do not need to sugar coat the gospel to make people want to believe, the ones that are being prodded by the Holy Spirit will be there to hear and receive the truth when you tell it.”

(For the record, there is nothing in my article like this. I think the Muslim and Mormon gods are false gods. I explained false gods in the articles)

Mike Clinton – “D.L your comment is a total perversion of what I said in my article. I said nothing of the sort. You are twisting my words for some reason. Why?”

Andez Bignell – ” Dianne Leavitt … I am a First Nation ( Canadian Native ). We do not worship animals, birds or pray to ” animal spirits “. We pray to the Great Spirit. We give thanks for all because The Creator made everything for us for our survival. Make friends with a Christian Native American. You might understand who we are.”

Kristin Ziegler – “As a Native American from the Sioux tribe and as a believer I find this very interesting.I agree that all peoples know there is a Supreme Being, One Who Alone is higher than all others. My people call Him the Great Spirit, the Great Mystery. I believe that the Great Spirit had compassion and great love towards the First Nations Peoples who populated the region now known as America. The Great Spirit longed for these peoples to know Him not only as Creator but as a Friend. I believe the English speaking people were supposed to share the Good News that Great Spirit gave His only begotten Son so that all peoples were welcome to have personal fellowship with the Great Mystery. But instead of sharing the Good News and blessing the First Nations Peoples, the English speakers stole, lied, raped, and murdered the very people they were to share the Good News with. I believe the Lord is wanting forgiveness and peace between the peoples so revival can come powerfully to this land.I pray the Holy Spirit will break down barriers that have been erected because of man’s pride.”

Iroqua WhiteWolf – “I am a mohawk and i was in to witchcraft and worship satan all my life. i did not want any thing to do with the ways of my people , but start to learn any ways i did ask the great spirit who was who. iand what i learn was about who and want Jesus was. i hated christian because they think they know every thing about us. but what funny is Dianne Leavitt say the great spirit is a fake a demon so call, then it lead me to Jesus and show me the path i was on was evil and wrong. funny that this great spirit save me out of witchcraft and give me life in Jesus our lord and saver. i follow satan for over 40 years of my life and was in teh chruch of satan for over 35 years and if it was not finding my roots i would not be a christian now. so when you talk about native thing look in to it. because i can say it was christian who kill the native people. but i know it was because of fake christian who follow a fake god that kill my people. i do not hate any one because Jesus give me love in my heart to love does who hate me. i also know many other native who came to Christ because of native ways. i love God and i love my king Jesus Christ for he is Lord of my life. and i know he open my heart by following native ways. but soon what will they say that my native name okwaho is from satan because my native name is wolf. from what i know Jesus love me for who i am and what i am a Mohawk people of the flint. soon what will they say if i say grandfather open my eyes grandfather aka GOD. sorry to say but some time people will say what does not sound christian is from satan. sorry for my anger. oh and the one who lead me to Christ was my grandmother who is mohawk and love Jesus so much. and follow her native ways also who was hit in school for believing in her native ways who was call a child of the devil by christian, but she forgive them because she also follow Jesus and lead me to Christ.”

John RunningWolf – “Wait so are what you are saying is that if my grandfather who was at wounded knee and lived the old ways the same as my mother and father before they died, because we elect to speak to speak to the Great Spirit then we are wrong. And I am a pagan for following my cultural beliefs when my son was born holding him up to the four winds so that all of his ancestors would know him?!? Ours is a dying culture and traditions. And yes I went through the manhood trials… and saw my spirit aminal. It was a sacred ritual that my I was able to go through while my grandfather was still alive, as I was the last of of my family. So yes, I do believe and have taught my son the ways of the Sioux, I have learned that the white man has a forked tongue. But I still have seeker guidance and forgiven. Even though I was forced to go to a so called “Christian school” when I was younger. And I can tell you from what I learned about your version of Christian values was not good. The 1st thing that happened was that the Nuns cut my hair with scissors. Then washed my mouth with lye soap every time I spoke Sioux. Also I had my left hand hit with a ruler for writing with “the Devil’s hand”. I believe that the Great Spirit looks into everyone’s hearts. I know that when I finally die. That I have been a good warrior in the military. I have been a good father to my son. I try to do right by others. And be the best man I can be. I rescued my dog as a pup from an abusive home and my dog and I do out best everyday. So I do not fear dying. Can you say the same?

Kristin Ziegler – “John RunningWolf, I would like to share that I too am Sioux and I am glad Creator made me Sioux. The horrible abuse you endured was inflicted on you by people who were not true Christians. The english-speakers were to share the Good News that Creator had a Son, Who became human and like us he was born into a tribe. The reason Creator,Great Spirit sent His only Son is that we(Native Americans) could know Him like we never were able to.He did not send the english-speakers to control us but to bless us with the Good News. The respect we have as a people for all creation was a gift given to us from Creator. Jesus,”He-Who-Walks-On-Water”has come so you can live with Creator Father God. He loves you and I am glad you were created. Do not let trickster, satan, keep you from Jesus. Bless you brother”

These comments are interesting to me because my great-grandmother was a Cherokee Indian. The only name she had was “Junior”, I am not sure why. I agree that America needs revival and healing for all people. I wonder if the image of Christianity is any better today than it was to the Indians?

Acts 10: 34-35 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

Sure, like they wouldn’t have been kidnapped and forced to attend a christian boarding school the same as all other native American kids were forced into and brutalised with. The missing generations they call them.

There is no such thing as a “true christian”, not a single person past or living practices anything Jesus preached, let alone his 8 essential criteria for entry into heaven.

It’s also a common phenomena for the long term damaged goods victim, to defend their tormenter against all logic and reason.

  • Pix, I know for an absolute fact that you that you know there is a God and you know what you should do about it. You can fight it all you want but that little red light flashing in the back of your mind will be your judge in that day.

  • Good day, I have just joined the group and I wanted to give some information about Michael Clinton. I am his brother and recently, I completed a series of DNA tests. Back Bone, SNP etc. When the results and proof came in, it was revealed that I am very much Native American. Now I also have a bit of Celtic blood in me, but the overwhelming percent is Native American(Indian). So with Michael Clinton being my brother, I would say that he is clearly Native American. Michael was not aware that I had completed extensive DNA tests until now. But with all this, we all belong to God of Abraham, Isaac, Moses my brother and myself as well as the rest of the world. Michael doesn’t need my help or input, but I know he appreciates it.
