Behold, the Day of God’s Vengeance is Near!
The Word of God that declares that ‘God is Love’, also makes it clear that He is a Righteous God who does not compromise with sin or leave the evil ones unpunished (Num. 14:18, 2 Pet. 2:2-10). God the Father is Holy and Perfect and therefore, His righteousness is as sharp as His love is tender. The prophets who spoke about God the Father attest to this fact. Jesus Christ who reveals Him and the Apostles who preached and later wrote what their Teacher had taught them also bear witness to this righteousness of God.
God has prepared a Righteous Judgment! In fact, the Son of God in his Glorious Manifestation will repay each one according to his or her deeds (Rev. 22:12). Not only is Jesus Christ coming, but God the Father – the One True God – is also coming. Behold, God is coming to give Salvation to those who believe and obey His Words, His Works and those sent by Him and to give eternal punishment to those who do not.
The Day of the Coming of God the Father is the Day of the Vengeance of God. God the Father came to meet His People for the first time on Mount Sinai, 3500 years ago (Ex. 19:16-20). But many Prophets like Moses (Ex. 32:34), Isaiah (Is. 40:9-10), Daniel (Dan. 7:21-22), Joel (Joel 2:1-2), Amos (Amos 4:12), Zephaniah (Zeph. 2:1-3) and Malachi (Mal. 3:2-3) and David in his Psalms (Ps. 21:8-9) prophesied that God the Father will visit His People again and they will see Him face to face.
Jesus Christ (Mt. 21:40-41, Mt. 22:1, 10-13) and the Holy Spirit through Paul, John and Peter teach that God the Father will come (1 Cor. 13:12, 1 Jn. 3:1-3, 2 Pet. 3:1-12). The Word of God testifies that on the Day of the Lord, He will take vengeance against those who persecute the Children of God, on those who are ignorant of God and on those who do not accept the Son of God or obey His Gospel (1 Thes. 1:6-9, Mt. 21:40-41).
“Your Hand will find out all your enemies; Your right hand will find out those who hate You. You will make them like a fiery furnace when You appear. The Lord will swallow them up in his wrath, and fire will consume them” (Ps. 21:8-9).
Behold, the Good News that God the Father, the Creator and Sustainer of everything, is going to come with power and glory!
“Who can endure the Day of His Coming, and who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap” (Mal. 3:2).
Therefore, God the Father has warned His People to be prepared for the Day when He comes. (Amos. 4:12)
