‘Copying and pasting’ the psychological reflex of the ‘fallen’, dualistic consciousness which insists that Jesus is the very personification of all that is Good, and demands that he be worshiped as ‘God’, it has recently become all the rage among the Protestant ‘Armageddon’ theologians to insist that Pope Francis is the very personification of theological Evil: the “false prophet” referred to in the Revelation of John.
Translation: It is much easier for the “beast of the sea”, “tree of the knowledge of good and evil” dualistic consciousness of the “self” to fall down in worship of a projected image of the Good (idolatry), or to become enraged at a projected image of theological Evil (also idolatry), than it is to understand the sharp Doctrinal differences between Revealed Truth and the theological doctrines concocted by the “beast of the earth” consciousness of the ‘thinker’; and that, in his reply to the Sadducees, Jesus specifically denied (or what is it that you do not understand about the phrase “You are wrong…”? from Chapter 22 verse 29 of the Gospel of Matthew) the ‘god of the dead’ (Chapter 20, verse 38 of the Gospel of Luke) doctrine of the physical raising of a dead body from the grave.
But, in reality, this is nothing more than a Protestant marketing ploy; just another desperate attempt by the Protestant religious ‘authorities’ to swindle just a few more millions of dollars from the pockets of their hapless, gullible, and never-to-be-‘Raptured’ followers in the rapidly diminishing time remaining before the onset of Armageddon.
More pointedly, focusing on the person of Pope Francis as the manifestation of theological Evil is a determined and seductive distraction from the fact not only that both Roman Catholicism and Protestantism deny and contradict the Teaching of Jesus on the Doctrine of “the resurrection”—both the Roman church and the Protestant churches very ‘conveniently’ forgetting that the Roman church exterminated tens of thousands of Albigensians for teaching the same Doctrine of “the resurrection” that Jesus taught—but also, that, Chapter 13, verse 11 of the Revelation of John being a fractal Prophecy, the monotheistic Doctrine of ‘Rebirth’ is also denied by the similarly ‘two horned’ Jewish (Orthodox and Reform; both pretending to convey the Revelations received by Moses and Isaiah) and Muslim (Sunni and Shia; both pretending to convey the Teaching of Mohammed) ”false prophet” religious ‘authorities’.
The “dragon”-media, however, has not yet developed any serious or particular ‘interest’ in inciting a conflict between Romanism and Protestantism.
It is
much too busy inciting a conflict between Sunnis and Shi’ites as one aspect of the much larger conflict between the “king of the South” and the “king of the North” in Chapter 11, verses 40-45 of the Book of Daniel...
A conflict which obviously and much more directly leads to the “time of trouble” Prophesied in Chapter 12, verse 1 of the Book of Daniel.

I actually think he’s sincere. But he’s fallen into the unfortunate trap of believing himself to be the recipient of personal revelation. Thus, there is no reasoning with him. His own arrogance and delusions of grandeur have placed him well beyond the potential for any efforts at meaningful dialogue. And he seems to have been at his game for so long now, he would probably rather die than admit that he’s not some chosen and special conduit for the Truth. Sharing in the unspeakable gifts of Salvation isn’t good enough for him — he wants more…
…so he’ll end up with less.
We can see that he’s not skillful enough with reason or rhetoric to turn many (or any) from an honest pursuit of the Way. He’ll just keep singing his songs into the faces of passersby until he doesn’t. A traveler would have to be legendarily weak of both wisdom and faith indeed to be diverted by our friend, the deluded Muslim.
This column is bizarre and daffy. No validly-elected pontiff can be the Antichrist or false prophet. To say otherwise makes Christ a liar and insults the Holy Spirit Who chooses popes. Sins against the Holy Spirit can’t be forgiven.
The wealthy influential bankers and traders formed a political group that destroyed Rome’s republic from within. They were called the Pharisees. After they manipulated Rome into wiping out the Israelites in 70 CE their Rabbinic (world of mouth) political polices and laws were state enforced in Judea and called Judaism.
You’d have to be blind not to see that the Pope really is what he says he is. This is the genuine article. Look. I am a protestant and this guy is the real deal. This doesn’t mean that he isn’t over protected and that evil doesn’t exist at the Vatican. Just to remind us protestants, he worships the same Jesus we worship. He believes in Moses and the prophets. Why split our faith into bits with misunderstandings?
As to the fighting over who the Lord really is…kind of silly. God is not a hater! He doesn’t love it when people kill each other, surely not! (I’m assuming that there is a God of course!)
As for your distress over faith and people Christopher…it gets better. Just don’t let others cause you such angst. I work on that too.
