Lugansk gets Russian Aid as Ukraine views Border Crossing Illegal
Russia found no way to send aid to E. Ukraine by getting Ukrainian permission. Ukraine as does the West simply refuses to believe that the aid convoy can be just food, water, and first aid. The suspicion runs high and now that Russia sent it’s aid convoy in spite of agreements has tensions running high.
According to R/T Ukrainian intel chief Valentyn Nalivaychenko saw this as a direct invasion, and a clear violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and border. Trust simply does not exist between Russia and the west anymore. Even with the banner of the Red Cross who knows the need of people in the area and wants the aid to go through the attempt and follow through will bring even more distrust. The region is in war and the area needs supplies according to the video report from the area {see video below}.
With America and the E.U. in the mix and pushing sanctions, Putin’s Russia is in no mood for more push and shove. The bitterness increases and the likely hood of a greater confrontation with the Russian Bear seems inevitable.
In all this is a reprisal of the East versus West attitudes and the fact that now the nations once separated from the Iron Curtain now fear that the threat is now back. Those who love freedom from the oppressive Soviet System of long ago do not want to be brought back into it. Moscow, on the other hand see’s that in the Eastern Ukraine are Russian citizens who speak Russian and should be protected. They want Russian statehood and connection. The war in that region is part of this.
