The term is “inattentional blindness”.

 

It refers to the absolute inability to perceive what is right in front of one’s eyes because of an intense focus of attention on something else:

And it pertains in spades to the horrors that are presently occurring throughout the Middle East; for example, in Syria, Iraq and Gaza:

 

The absolute inability of the ‘agents’ of the “dragon”-media—and, as well, the followers of the Christian Prophecy pornographers (because of their intense focus upon, instead, comparing current events to the Prophecies written thousands of years ago)—to actually perceive that it is the theologies of the monotheistic religions themselves which are the very source of these conflicts.

 

The ‘agents’ of the mainstream and ‘alternative’ media are so obsessed with providing continually updated and deliciously detailed descriptions, commentaries, analyses, explanations, ‘prognostications’, perspectives, and trivial ‘justifications’ or ‘condemnations’ of the horrors occurring throughout the Middle East—while the Christian Prophecy pornographers, on the other hand, have been able to enrich themselves to the tune of at least tens of million of dollars by ‘entertaining’ their followers with interpretations of these current events as ‘fulfillments of the Prophecies’—that they have become spectacularly incapable of perceiving at all that it is the blood-thirsty monotheistic theologies that constitute the very origin of such unconscionable evils.

 

Now, with regards to the ‘invisible gorilla’ experiment, if a person is informed, before seeing the video, that a gorilla will walk across the floor between the people passing the basketball, it then becomes impossible to view the video without seeing the gorilla.

With regards to the bloodshed in the Middle East, however, it seems quite clear that, even after the media and religious officials have been informed that it is the monotheistic theologies which are the source of these conflicts, they are still incapable of perceiving that to any serious extent…

 

And remain absolutely and completely uninterested in addressing the lies and errors of those theologies as being, in any way, a viable way of reducing these conflicts.

 

It is almost as if this ‘invisible gorilla’ is eternally and irreversibly invisible.

At the same time, however, it must be understood that this ‘invisible gorilla’, unless it becomes visible in time, will, ultimately,  ‘kill the videographer’.
