The only destruction in Holy Scripture that was greater in its scope was the Flood of Noah’s day. While the Bible gives no numerical account, it cannot be less than four to five hundred million. Not only are the armies destroyed but the homelands will be rendered a wilderness. The capitols of every army involved will be firebombed into oblivion. When any people or nation is determined to murder and destroy Israel, God will render them a stunning defeat.
Joel, a great prophet of the first order, spoke of this northern lead army and God’s action in response. “But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.” Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.” (Joel 2:20-21) It is clear to see how God will even the score when men seek to eliminate His Chosen People Israel. The war developing in the Middle East is a futile display of human arrogance and false religions that try to replace the God of Glory. The one-sixth of the Gog and Magog army that escape death will be driven back to their wasted homelands.
Let’s try to imagine a world so shaken that every living creature plus every man (men or women) on the face of this earth will be smitten with fear. “ So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground..” (Ezekiel 38:20) It will appear during the heat of this marching multitude that the end of the world may be at stake. Just the exchange of nuclear warfare between the coalition and Israel could render life in the Middle East uninhabitable. But we know God will stop the war before that point, but the world will not know that is going to occur.
God’s prophetic word that cannot be altered speaks with awesome terms. God says, “And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother. And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.” (Ezekiel 38: 21 22) Pestilence, swarms of bees, insects of great destruction, diseases of malaria or other debilitating forces will sweep through the armies. Blood will fall down from the sky or a bloody flux will sweep through the crowds of soldiers. It will rain with such torrents that deployment of the armies will become impossible. While all of the above is occurring, hailstones will begin to destroy planes and missiles in the air and on the ground. Then fire and brimstone will begin to rain on the armies and their homelands.
When you begin to see the total results of these destructive powers we certainly can understand the reports on the world news. Armies no longer move or fight without the news media employed right in the midst of action. When the homelands see the pictures flooding the airways and screens, pandemonium will overwhelm the families expecting success but seeing nothing but death. Even as they see the results of the war it begins to fall on them. The Battle will turn so quickly against Gog and Magog and all their hosts that total confusion will be the results. Then the armies learn of their own home, families and countries being completely destroyed and they will turn on one another, especially those connected to Russia , Iran and other leading organizers.
All of this sounds ominous and indeed it is. The northern mountains of Israel will become a graveyard. “And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog. And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD. And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog. (Ezekiel 39:11-15) How such a massive army marching against a small nation experience such destruction will be world news. The answer will no longer be how great are the American planes and military powers, but how great is the God of the nation of Israel.

The battle of Gog and Magog happens when the true Israelites are already established in the Holy city of Jerusalem without walls. I don’t see that happening anytime soon. Beside the war that Zechariah prophesied about has to take place FIRST. THE DAY OF THE LORD will happen before the Gog and Magog war.

I am not anti-Israel; I do believe what God says about a remnant being saved. I believe these are the Jews that put their faith in JESUS CHRIST and are on fire for the Lord.
