(Before It's News)

“The normalcy bias, or normality bias, refers to a mental state people enter when facing a disaster. It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects. This may result in situations where people fail to adequately prepare for a disaster, and on a larger scale, the failure of governments to include the populace in its disaster preparations.

“The assumption that is made in the case of the normalcy bias is that since a disaster never has occurred then it never will occur. It can result in the inability of people to cope with a disaster once it occurs. People with a normalcy bias have difficulties reacting to something they have not experienced before. People also tend to interpret warnings in the most optimistic way possible, seizing on any ambiguities to infer a less serious situation.” Wikipedia

I’d concur that many Americans are living in the “normalcy bias”. Sadly, far too many have managed to convince themselves that everything is as usual. Yet ISIS is at the door, our economy is on the edge, NSA is keeping tabs on us, and Ebola is knocking at the door. Things are not what they seem and now is not the time for “normalcy bias”…

In the video below Alex Jones discusses the continued downward spiral of the world and how the globalists’ plans are quickly unfolding….

scare tactics plain and simple

  • Alex Jones is your reference? ROFL! No wonder nobody takes you seriously. Alex jones is a snakeoil salesman who sold out long ago. You sold your soul too, Lisa. You pimp fear for mouse clicks. You’re making money putting fear into the hearts of your fellow man.

  • The “normalcy bias” is the tendency to expect things will continue much as they always have. What’s wrong with that? Why is it made to sound like an ailment?

We need to focus more on living well and less on being ready for doom du jour. Especially the “never happened before” type of “daily doom scenario” the likes of what we get from journalists with only half a clue.

For sure: stuff happens and mostly at the worst possible time and in the very worst way. As it happens: my neighbour and mate, a good keen man, who goes by the name ‘Irish’ made that, pearl of wisdom, into a universal law but he stole the idea from me!

    • …signed Wallace Cadwallader.

  • You really need to spend a few hours investigating BILL HICKS, before you go professing belief in ALEX JONES. Maybe, that’s because Bill Hicks was the deplorable misogynistic aryan white atheist who even rated his own HBO special, before a fake death and a return as Alex Jones, to play ‘the other side of the isle’. He has also been implicated with government spin doctoring, and proven CointelPro and Stratfor agent activity.

Telling me ‘Alex Jones said’ is like saying ‘Nixon Promised’ or ‘G Gordon Liddy never worked for the CIA’.

If you want people to believe you, start with a reputable source!

    • Dustdevil… “Maybe, that’s because Bill Hicks was the deplorable misogynistic aryan white atheist who even rated his own HBO special, before a fake death and a return as Alex Jones, to play ‘the other side of the isle’”

^ That is bullcrap. Hicks is not Alex Jones. You cannot be serious.

      • @ZeroSum

These people also believe that Alex Jones is also A REPTILIAN…

      • Quote: “These people also believe that Alex Jones is also A REPTILIAN…”

I’d believe that over the “Bill Hicks is Alex Jones” story. Sure they “kind of” resemble each other superficially in some pictures but that’s it. I’m assuming DustDevil just got some bad intel or he was being facetious.
