This article is about the Second Coming not the Rapture. There are no signs of the Rapture. It can happen at any time and without notice. But there are signs of the Second Coming and the church is told to watch for those signs.
Many prophecy writers, including myself, believe the Rapture will occur before the Tribulation period. In that case, the Rapture will occur before the Second Coming because Jesus won’t come back to this earth (He will remain in the air at the Rapture) until the end of the Tribulation Period. So, if the Second Coming is close, the Rapture is even closer.
Most of those who watch the signs think the Second Coming is very close. They know that Jesus said, “Of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only” (Matt. 24:36). But they also know that Jesus said, “When ye shall see all these things (the signs), know that it is near, even at the doors” (Matt. 24:33). And they also know that the Bible says we can see the day approaching (Heb. 10:25). So even though no human being knows the day and hour, prophecy teachers are not contradicting the Scriptures when they say the Second Coming is close.
They believe it is close because God has revealed timing clues along with some prophecies. For example, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog (Ezek. 38-39), God said it will happen in the latter days (Ezek. 38:16) and latter years (Ezek. 38:8). But in order for this prophecy to be fulfilled, God said Israel will be back in the land; Israel will have cattle and goods; Israel will be opposed by Russia, Iran, Turkey and others, etc. These pre- conditions are in existence today and they seem to be screaming out that the latter days and latter years have arrived.
Another example involves one of the verses mentioned above (Matt. 24:33). Jesus said His Second Coming will be close when all of the signs are apparent in the same generation. Between 70 A.D. and 1948 the nation of Israel didn’t exist so it was impossible to see all of the signs during that span. Between 1948 and 1967 Israel didn’t control the Temple Mount so again it was impossible to see all of the signs. But all of the signs appear to be coming on the scene now. Some prophecy teachers call the appearance of all of the signs a convergence of the signs. Some even think this convergence of the signs is more important than any other sign including the return of Israel. Anyway, this convergence of all of the signs in the same generation is a timing clue signifying that the Second Coming is near.
Bible prophecy requires the establishment of a New World Order (world government) during the Tribulation period and before the Second Coming (Rev. 13:7). In 2009, Henry Kissinger said, “Pres. Obama has been chosen to bring in the New World Order” and we are now a little more than two years from the end of his second term. In 2013, Vice-Pres. Biden said, “The affirmative task we (the U.S.) have now is to actually create a New World Order.” In 2014, he said, “I believe we and mainly you (the 2014 Air Force graduating class) have an incredible opportunity to lead in shaping a New World Order.” And in 2014, Pres. Obama talked about a coming “new order based on a different set of principles.” So if our leaders are close to the establishment of a New World Order, the world is close to the Second Coming and even closer to the Rapture of the church.
Bible prophecy requires the establishment of a global religion during the Tribulation period. In Feb. 2014, it was reported that Pope Francis wants to reverse the Protestant Reformation and unite all religions. The Reformation began with a split in the Roman Catholic Church. The recognized beginning of this split occurred on Oct. 31, 1517 when Martin Luther posted his Ninety-Five Theses on the door of CastleChurch in Wittenberg. The 500th Anniversary of the Reformation will occur on Oct. 31, 2017. So Pope Francis has established Oct. 31, 2017 as a goal for an anti-Reformation (a reversal of the Reformation by uniting Catholics, Protestants, Muslims and Jews into one religion). He may not be able to do it, but again, if the world is close to the establishment of a world religion (in 2017); it is even closer to the Rapture of the church.
Bible prophecy requires the coming Antichrist and his False Prophet to have the ability to identify everyone and to track all of their buying and selling about three and one-half years before the Second Coming (Rev. 13:16-17). Now, it is being reported that Obamacare requires every American to have a National ID card and that the Dept. of Homeland Security will start enforcing this in 2017. In fact, NBC recently predicted that every American will have a RFID implant by 2017. So the appearance of things that will be used after the Rapture (ID cards, chipping people, etc. by 2017) are timing clues that signify that the Rapture is getting close.
The Tribulation period and Second Coming also require the arrival of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (Rev. 6:1-8) which many believe is the rise of the Antichrist with an increase in war, famine, pestilence and earthquakes (also see Matt. 24:5-7). The Antichrist can’t rise because the church is still here (II Thess. 2:7-8), but this year it has been reported that wars have increased seven years in a row; the price of several foods (pork, beef, chicken, etc.) has reached an all time high and this is just the beginning; drug resistant viruses (pestilences) are spreading around the world, and big earthquakes (those larger than 7.0) have doubled since 1979. How can those who watch not believe that we will soon be going home?
Bible prophecy requires the Antichrist to confirm a Middle East peace treaty that will begin the Tribulation period after the Rapture of the church. There have been many failed attempts at a Middle East peace treaty, but proposals are now being drafted that will ask the UN Security Council to take over the peace process; to set a date for dividing the land of Israel and creating a Palestinian State; and to enforce the UN Security Council actions with international troops. It means the PA is asking the UN Security Council to dictate a solution and send in troops to enforce it.
After the Rapture, there will be a global economic collapse (Rev. 6:5-6) and a recent report by the Bank of International Settlements recently said the entire world is now in a situation of unsustainable debt and more. As the world approaches the Tribulation Period what it does to Israel will come back on it. The U.S. is trying to erase Israel’s borders and for all practical purposes God has allowed America’s borders to become seemingly non-existent. More could be said, but many prophecy writers have good reason to believe that they can see the day approaching. Are you prepared?

I’ll just point you in the right direction………..
Christ is coming in just over 12 months………The Rapture “in the air” IS The Remnant who will be saved and will be taken up by The Angels Spiritual Crafts and we will meet Christ “In The Air” as He is on his way down to Destroy and Purify The Earth…..That is what it is!!! You people have no understanding because you have not been shown……The Angels are here right now in their Spiritual crafts …They will help The Final Prophet with his Revival to Preach the New Gospel World Wide….Only the Chosen will Resonate with this Gospel and will follow….These are The descendants of The Lost Ten Tribes & a Remnant of Judah-
God will take back his posessions- His Children……..
It is like the days of Noah…we will be in an Ark Type Craft above the ground and above the destruction below…..There is no pre rapture, it will happen just as destruction comes…..
These Chosen Ones will be protected with The Prophet….They will be untouchable and taken away to meet Christ….
No one will believe but these Crafts are Real,,,,The Angels are Real and this Will Happen……
I will give you a hint!!!
Last Day: The Stars will Fall from The Sky” This is Gods way of explaining his Angels Crafts which look like Stars in The Sky……eg: Star Of Bethlehem……These “Chariots” Craft are Christs Army
Once The Chosen are out of harms way Christ and his Army will do Battle and Finally rid The Earth of The Cancer….
I have Seen, I am a Witness, I have been given Understanding
Rob;
You have seen nothing. No rapture will ever happen. God won’t take back his posession from Jesus, to whom he gave us. You misunderstand and teach misunderstandings of scriptures on this blog all day long, and for the life of me, I can’t understand why. You could study the accurate translations of scripture and gain ACCURATE understanding, yet you refuse to do so, and attack those who do. You’re a weird one.
.
The majority of Christians do NOT believe in a “rapture” prior to Jesus’ second coming.
And it’s not just Catholics and Orthodox who do not believe in a rapture… it is also
main stream Protestants like me [ I was baptized Lutheran.] There is no rapture in
the profession of faith of most Christians, the Nicene Creed.
That being said… I do believe the second coming is very near. Hopefully as close as 2015.
It is obvious, Mystery Babylon, the satanic antichrist jew/nwo, the global evil empire exists
now and has existed for almost 70 years. We are now in the “days of Noah” [race-mixing]
and “days of Lot” [sodomy.] There will be no rapture to protect us from the wrath of God
upon this… a perverse, lukewarm “Christian” generation… who winks at sin, and thinks it will
escape unpunished.
.
You’re a little late. Jesus ascended to his throne in 1914.
How does one explain the rapture to those who are currently being persecuted in the most evil ways?
You do see signs everywhere, the last few years people has woken up to see NWO, false flag events, manipulation, propaganda, faked news, the world is waking up from a great deception containing false prophets of the church, goverment criminals, media lies. Reality has changed and it cones from a cgange of information that slowly turns you perception.
Remember Jesus said the kingdom of God is within you, it will not be observed, they will not say” look, here it is or there it is!” And the ones looking for days of the son of man, will not see.
Remember Jesus was a servant to his disciples, he washed their feet and told them to go and wash each other. He didnt even ask any return, humble he entered Jerusalem and taught about unconditional love and how Gods kingdom will be established thru a change of heart. Because we have allways had it within, the road has been there, but we have chosen other paths. Look at the parable of two men as two toughts, when you come to crossroads one will disapear. A new perception and a new perception. Remember that Jesus was hard on his diciples the words isnt allways easy to understand. He told prostitutes would reach the kingdom before his disciples at one time, because they regret what they did and changed their past. Disciples are to busy looking for signs in the stars to help those people suffering. They are wating for someone to come and tell them they had the right faith and be kuddled for it. But the bible says the people suffering will have no problem finding Gods kingdom, its the pharisee churches that wont let them in, they are to busy collecting money to enrich themselves and establish a kingdom of their own together with their Mammon satanic global plan.
Your question is answere enough. You care of people suffering and want good things to happen to them. You have the right spirit and you know how to establish Gods kingdom, you care.
A new perception and a new perspective
It adds up to a question of what is a son of God. Is it one who rules the world with an iron rod, bombing and droning people into his kingdom or is he one who cares more for others than himself? Is he a teacher or a killer? Will he give up their hearts or continue till his death? Is there only one Son of God or are women and men fulfilling Gods will all sisters and brothers to Jesus in Gods Kingdom on earth? Those are CROSS roads and only one man had the right path, you decide which one it was. But he tried till the end to change hearts, he would rather die than not forgive after all the evil that they did to him. That is something to stretch for
Jesus tells us if someone says here is the Christ or there is the Christ, dont run to them, they are liars. Christ is within all of us, you can be a teacher, prophet or a messenger. But it is a heavy burden to carry out the will of God. Remember a messenger can never be bigger than the one who sent him. God is Alpa & Omega, it means the beginning and the end and everything between. God can speak through all of us, even a burning bush. Everything is in the Creator. I am just a cowboy passing thru, One day I will return to my family
I’d love to experience the time people were given homesteads and how exciting to think of the mysterius natives or Indians and their way of life. I walked around in the vast open country and imagined how it would be. I miss it and it was the happiest days of my life
LOL Rapture is an intense emotion, ecstasy. It usually happens at least once in your life when you find something that makes you intensely happy, where you become enraptured with.
It definitely helps if you have reasonable command of the English language. But you are right, there are no signs of people being remotely happy let alone enraptured. They are all too busy wheeling and dealing in dark age fear porn to terrify the crap out each other. It is as per the words in the song by Chris Rea’s ‘The Road to Hell’. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OA1V7cI28hI
“…the perverted fear of violence wipes the smile off every face”, just about sums up your Christian society perfectly.
The rapture and Second Coming are one and the same event. For the truth of the matter, see:
/alternative/2013/02/rapture-alert-millions-of-christians-have-been-deceived-2561260.html
“…there are signs of the Second Coming and the church is told to watch for those signs.”
Sure everyday mundane events like earthquakes in various places, famines, war, rumours of war, and financial crisis. At no time in history have these so called ‘sign’s not been ongoing somewhere and boy you guys sure play it to ridiculous levels, every day for the past 1’400 years, the entire history of your state enforced thought and belief intolerant dictatorship foisted on the world by despotic dictators.
There are no unique signs apart from one, where it says the dead will come out of their memorial tombs, the sea will give up it’s dead, people will wish for death but death won’t find them. So be sure to let everyone know when you start seeing that happen, so we can all avoid the zombie apocalypse.
Jesus returned and assumed his throne in 1914. So, what are YOU talking about?
If there is no soul what returned?
Jesus.
That’s not what the Bible says. Revelation tells us when Jesus returns upon the clouds, every eye, not just the eyes of cults like Jehovah’s witnesses, but every eye shall see.
They will see the signs of his return, and they have and still do. Jesus is a spirit creature, not human. He was human until he was killed. Revelation says he will return as he left. When he left, he went into a cloud and no one could see him ascend fully. He was invisible. Obscured by clouds. Not visible. He returned the same way, unable to be seen.
You completely contradict what the Book of Revelation says:
“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.”
—REV 1:7
No, am123, I DON’T contradict what Revelation says. I told you what it DOES say. It is you who contradict. You take metaphors and consider them not to be so. The vast majority of John’s vision when he wrote Revelation, was metaphorical and symbolic. Not taking into consideration other scriptures and what they say will get you into trouble every time. Jesus specifically said that he would NEVER be seen as a human again on Earth. There are other references in Revelation indicating the same thing, that Jesus would not be seen. So, taking into consideration that God CANNOT lie, one must conclude that Jesus did not visibly return, nor would he return visibly ever, after his ascension. If your postulation were true then God would have had to lie, and that’s not possible.
