The Compatibility of Christmas with the Remnant Believer for 2014 Pt2 enters into the realm of the wealthy society, the rich man, and the Christian. It reminds us that Christmas is not about tons of packages of gifts. The thought here, if three gifts were enough for the babe in the manager; it is enough for us. But in all this, we look at heart attitude. It is the idea of Love for a Savior and following in his path. It is not about Idols, prosperity, wealth, and a kings table Christmas. We finish this series by letting the Old Christmas Gospel Hymns tell the story of what the early Christians who wrote these carols were trying to tell us.
The Compatibility of Christmas with the Remnant Believer for 2014 is about the essence of the holiday called Christmas. Many Messianic and other believers may be quick to criticize those who are caught up in the glitz and glamour of the Holiday. Today I bring scriptural basis for the Compatibility of Christmas with the Believer. Can a Believer actually keep Christmas and not sin? If a Believer can keep Christmas, then how do they do it! What about Santa, Tree’s, lights, candy, and all those presents?
1Ti 6:6-12
(6) But godliness with contentment is great gain.
(7) For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
(8) And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
(9) But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
