Regarding the Houris

According to Islamic tradition; that is, the writings of the misogynist and ignorant Muslim religious ‘authorities’—in other words, those who have NO Knowledge that “the resurrection” is a Doctrine of ‘Rebirth’—the houris, or “companions”, are truly fantastical creatures; with ‘transparent shin bones’ (?); “breasts [that] are round and not inclined to dangle”; and who are free of menstruation and every other normal bodily function for a woman (except sexual intercourse, apparently).
To quote…..Wikipedia, no less (thanks, honey):
“Many verses in the Quran refer to the fact that, among the houris that each person would receive, there would be included recreations of their spouse(s) they had in their Earthly lives:
“And [with them will be their] spouses [male or female. Ed.], raised high: for behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, having resurrected them as virgins.” (emphasis added)
Sura 56 (That Which Is Coming), verses 34-36 of the Quran”
In other words, there being no metaphysical life in contrast to an “Earthly” life (that life is merely a previous life)—and in the context of the revelation of the memories of those previous lives—the houris are those who have accompanied a person (sometimes as a spouse, some times not) from life to life to life.
They are real companions.
In the real world.
And over many lives.
Sometimes women and sometimes men.
And, when their eyes meet, in one life and then another…
They are recognized.
And their eyes are the most beautiful of eyes.
