A woman who was the prophet Elijah in a previous life, seeing the door ajar, walks into a local seder and sits herself down in the empty seat, prompting gasps of outrage among the assembled worshipers of the Egyptian ‘god of the dead’.
“You don’t understand”, the leader asserts solemnly, “that seat has been reserved for the prophet Elijah.”
“No, Sir. It is you who do not understand the meaning of the Doctrine of “the resurrection”, she replies.
And she begins to explain patiently that both Jesus and Mohammed taught “the resurrection” as a Doctrine of ‘Rebirth’ and that she was the prophet Elijah (as well as Mohammed) in a previous life…
But, meanwhile, someone has called 911 and a SWAT team has been dispatched.
And the headline on the front page of the South Bend Tribune the next day is:
“Iranian Muslim Terrorist Shot, Killed Near Local Seder”.
All present at the seder insist that she said nothing; merely came in and sat down.
But everyone suspected both that she was an Iranian and that she was carrying a suicide bomb.
Thus, the local prosecutor was unconcerned; considering it a case of
“justifiable homicide”And, henceforth, doors will be kept closed and locked during all future seders.
