Is it Spiritual Nonsense? Divine Love Spirituality – blog
How can a loving God create evil; how can He allow and tolerate wrongness, cruelty and abuse, how can He allow anything bad? And if He is Love and yet also creates unlove, what is that all about? And to naively blame all that’s unloving and bad on Satan or the Devil or someone else other than God is just refusing to accept that God created the bad and made Satan and Lucifer rebel against Him. Because God being God must be in control of everything.
Is, contained within love, anti-love? Like yin and yang, the two needing each other and being parts of the whole, is love and no-love the same? Can there be only love and never no-love, or similarly, can their be no-love and never love? And is it possible to be loving yet also unloving? Can God be loving creating all the good, and unloving creating all the bad – can we? Is God loving and unloving, is God loving on one day, unloving on another day? Is God loving in one moment and unloving the next – is that how we are? We say we love our children, in one moment we feel great love from them, but in the next we’re unloving, yelling and hitting and compromising their wills and self-expression totally disapproving of them. So what is it, are we loving or not loving, or are we both all the time fluctuating as our moods and emotional responses dictate?
Jesus came to tell us God was all-loving. Up until then it was to capricious gods that people prayed. Or there were good and bad gods. So it was no small thing Jesus coming and what he said, it affecting our relationship with God helping us understand that we can rely on God and know God to be a truly affectionate and loving God. Yet still there is the bother about, well if that’s so, why all the badness, cruelty and hatred. Why does God allow it; and even worse, if God creates all, then why does God create it, why has God created us to be such horrid creatures hellbent on destroying innocent nature about us - hellbent on destroying ourselves.
So we need to look deeper at what’s going on and see if perhaps we can accept God being all-loving and our being all-hating, as it would seem, existing together; with both even meant to be together, needing each other in some way. And that possibly our being God-denying, truth-denying and love-denying is still in some way part of what love is. Is love bigger than what we generally understand it to be? Can love have within it – unlove? Is within the Light the Darkness and vice versa? Perhaps the two are merely different sides of the coin. And they are all of love, only whilst we’re on the side of the coin that is anti-love and so evil, we can’t see or feel or understand or comprehend the other side – true love.
Is it that our perspective is too narrow and we need to expand our understanding of what God is. So if God is Love and the creator of all, then part of that love and how He loves us, must also include His wanting us to experience what it feels like to be unloving and untrue and to live turning our back on Jesus and God Himself.
And if this is so – why? Why does God want us to experience unlove, untruth and rejection of Him? This being what you will find out as you do your Feeling-Healing.
