The Great Whore And Mystery Babylon The Mother Of Harlots
Mystery Babylon Is Not The Great Whore- The Understanding Of This Revelation Will Open Up Prophecy To A Whole New Level!!
The Great Whore is not Mystery Babylon the mother of Harlots. Although there are similarities between these two imposters, including incredible deception and spiritual idolatry , they are most definitely different. The primary difference is that one gives birth to the other. In part three of this series we will look at the details of the Mother of the Great Whore.
The kings of the earth commit spiritual fornication with both the Great Whore and her mother that birthed her (Rev 17:2; Rev 18:3). The explanation for this is twofold.
Satan has given birth to all religions, so all the religions of the world have committed spiritual fornication with him; without Satan there would be no Mystery Babylon, and therefore no Mother of Harlots. The kings or rulers of the earth that do not follow the Lord are involved in idolatry, and so willingly or unwillingly they serve Satan. The inhabitants of the earth that do not follow Christ in spirit and in truth, are preoccupied with the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches, which is idolatry. Many have been deceived by the Great Whore, and her wicked ways (Col 3:1-7; 1 Cor 10:1-14).
Religions all have one thing in common, they represent the traditions of men, and great deceptions. The more deception that Satan can produce, the more likely he will be to confuse people, and succeed in his goal of keeping as many as possible from the only true God, Jesus Christ (1 Cor 8:6).
Babylon is synonymous with confusion, and Jerusalem is known as the city of confusion (Isa 24:10). The Great Whore is governed by the author of this confusion. In this sense one is the head and the other is the tail (John 8:40-44). The Great Whore has taken by force and stolen that which is not rightfully hers, believing she is invincible, but this will soon change (Deut 28:13, 15, 25, 28, 44, 48, 63).
Very soon the final beast system will expose and crush her; the Great Whore is a stepping stone for the master of deception. As the creator of false religions, it will be easy for Satan to expose the great carnage that they produced, and through lying signs and wonders convince the world that he is their long awaited messiah.
2 Thess 2:9-12 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Christianity can also become a false religion, when the doctrines and teachings of men supersede the true message, which is the Good News of The Gospel of Christ. False Christianity and all other religions, feebly attempt through various works to obtain righteousness. This is a feat that is impossible on our own; through Christ we are made righteous, and it is His truth that sets us free (John 8:32; Rom 5:21; 1 Peter 2:24).
1 Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
We can allow the spirit of God to take up residence with in us, and come out of darkness (John 12:46).
1 Cor 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy,which temple ye are.
We can also be deceived into thinking that the spirit within us is light, when in actuality it is darkness (John 1:5; Luke 11:35).
2 Cor 11:3-4 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
Many religious people believe they are obeying their gods, but are in fact just obeying the spirit of the god of this world (Eph 2:2; 5:1-11; Col 3:1-14).
As a result of loving the pleasures of this world more than God, these create a god for themselves based on whatever their evil desires are. By denying the power of the one and only True God, these unstable souls are ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of truth (1 Cor 2:11-14; Eph 2:2-10).
Many in the Christian faith, as it were, know of Jesus, but they do not have a personal relationship with the Creator of all Things. They are justified, so they think, by the laws and commandments of men. They blindly trust that their teachers are men of God, and the path that is laid out for them through these men is the right one. Our minds should not be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. If we follow, and receive the spirit of Christ we can not be deceived. Do not be conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may know the will of God (Romans 12:2).
Christianity is not a religion. It is not at all about what we can do for ourselves, but what Christ has done for us on the cross. Christianity, involves a walk with Christ wherein we receive His Holy Spirit; it is through the Spirit that we can be saved, and have the testimony of Christ written in our hearts and minds (Rev 6:9; 12:11; 12:17; Heb 10:16). Without the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, deception even for the Christian, is not only probable it is inevitable (2 Tim 3:1-17; John 16:13; 2 Tim 1:7; 1 Pet 1:22; 1 John 3:24; 1 John 4:1-15)
The Great Whore has infiltrated and infected much of the world through her spiritual idolatry. While the Great Whore and her deception is intoxicating, it will pale in comparison to that of the deception that her Mother produces. Mystery Babylon the Mother of Whores, will dwell in and control spiritually, both the false Christ, (also known as the man of sin, the Beast, the son of perdition and the little horn) and the false prophet. They will represent the greatest deception the world has ever seen, even surpassing that of the Great Whore (2 Thes 2:8-12; Rev 13:11-14).
Mark 13:22 For a false Christ and a false prophet shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
The correct interpretation of Mark 13:22, is a false christ and a false prophet shall rise… This verse is in reference to the last days, a time of great deception unlike any other. It is during this Great Tribulation, that has a duration of three and a half years, that a great battle will be waged for the eternal destiny of much of mankind. Satan will introduce to the world his false Christ, and false prophet of deception. This is a representation of The Unholy Trinity, Satan the Beast and the false prophet.
The Kings of the Earth Commit Spiritual Fornication with the Great Whore.
Rev 17:2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
In the first part of this series, many of the sinful attributes of The Great Whore are exposed, she was seduced by Satan, and performed many abominable acts of treason against the Lord. Her idolatry was unparalleled, as none would supersede her iniquity, self righteousness or deception, except for her mother. As time went on however, she went from being seduced, to becoming the greatest seductress that the world would ever see. Only Satan acting through the Beast and False prophet, would supersede this wickedness.
It is beyond the scope of this article to fully describe the atrocities committed by those who believe they are the masters of the universe, and are God’s elect, when in fact they are actually of the synagogue of Satan. The great idolaters, and all those who have joined themselves together with this evil cabal, have turned the truth of God into a lie, love darkness and are all condemned to hell. (Gal 4:24-26; Rev 2:9; Rev 3:9; 2 Peter 2:1-15; John 3:15-19).
The Great Whore, has a satanic religious core at its roots, but its branches represent control of a vast financial, political and military empire. The kings of this world have definitely committed spiritual fornication with her.
The false tribe of Judah murdered Christ in the futile attempt to seize on His inheritance (Luke 20:14; Math 21:38). The same spirit of deception was behind the establishment of the modern day nation of Israel; the false claim was made that it was promised to them by the Lord, and they seized the land, claiming it as their rightful inheritance. To take the land with brute force is one thing, this is the way this evil world operates. But their claim has no merit, the promise of inheritance is unto the Elect, who will reign with Christ upon His return, and His Kingdom. These masters of spiritual idolatry, are simply inviting God’s wrath. It is coming soon, and it will shock most of the world, including those who call themselves christians, that support this wicked imposter.
Eph 5:5-6 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
The Kings of the Earth also Commit Spiritual Fornication with Mystery Babylon, the Mother of Harlots.
Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
The great whore has a desire for absolute world domination, but it will not come to fruition. Her reign of terror will soon come to an abrupt and violent end, as her services will no longer be required by her mother that gave birth to her.Those that inhabit Jerusalem and are a part of this great idolatry, as well as those that have deceived and destroyed much of the world, and are the leaders of this spiritual wickedness are soon to be destroyed by the Ten Kings. Satan will no longer operate through others secretly, he will openly declare himself to be the god of this world, and through the Beast demand to be worshiped as such. Only seven kings fully reign with the Beast for the entire three and one half years of his kingdom, at which time the Two witnesses will confirm the covenant of Christ (Rev 13:15). These seven kings, will give their kingdom and power unto the Beast and are a part of the fourth and final evil kingdom on earth, before Christ’s second coming. (Rev 17:17; Dan 7:7-8; 7:23-24).
Rev 17:16-17 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the (great) whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
The Beast will make war with the Saints and he overcomes them, he also has power over all tribes, tongues and nations (Rev 13:7-8). The fact that there are saints alive during this time known as The Great Tribulation, proves that the Rapture or Gathering of the Saints unto Christ, has not yet happened. Also we notice that the Beast does not have power over all peoples. The all, that he does have control over, represents all of a certain type; those that worship the Beast, are the ones not sealed by Christ.
He As god Sits in The Temple Of God
The Beast will set up his headquarters in the holy mountain, which is in Jerusalem. During the time of the Great Tribulation, Jerusalem is referred to spiritually, as Sodom and Egypt (Rev 11:8). Contrary to the popular teachings of a rebuilt temple for the jewish people, this will not occur. All of the deceived on earth will worship Satan and they will worship the Beast, he will not share the short time he has left, with a lesser imposter namely the Great Whore (Dan 11:45; Rev 13:4).
2 Thess 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
The so called evidence for a rebuilt jewish temple in Jerusalem, comes from two verses that are falsely translated. The first one is Daniel 9:27, and there is an article explaining the true meaning of the covenant spoken of by Christ, here. This is just another example of the ignorance and deception within Christianity, that has been infiltrated by the great whore. The Elect of Christ are His temple and He resides in them. Without Christ’s presence, there can never be another physical temple on earth made with hands. During the Great Tribulation there are two references to where the temple of God is, one is wherever Christ is, and during this time it is in Heaven. The other is within the true believer that has been sealed, set apart and Baptized in the Holy Spirit. The interpretation of 2 Thess 2:4, is as follows. If any one worships the man of sin or Satan as god, then the temple or dwelling place in us that is designed and set apart for God, is occupied by this imposter. Satan imitating God, dwells in the place of God, showing himself that he is a god (1 Cor 3:16; 6:19; 2 Cor 6:16; Acts 7:48; 17:24; Rev 11:19).
Matt 4:8-10 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him,Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
The true message of the Gospel of Christ can only be understood by those who are Baptized with the Holy Spirit; the natural man can not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him, nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Cor 2:14).
2 Cor 4:3-4 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
The Inhabitants of the Earth Have Been Made Drunk with the Wine of Her Fornication
The inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of Her Fornication. The idolatry that she produces is spiritually intoxicating to the point that her converts become drunk like. They are blind and deaf to the true gospel message, their minds and consciences are seared, and they are full of self righteousness and false pride.
Rev 17:2… and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
In the follow-up article, the difference between the wine of the Great Whore unto fornication, will be compared with that of the wine of the Wrath of Mystery Babylon’s fornication.
Rev 19:2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
The Great Whore does indeed corrupt the earth with the fruit of her spiritual idolatry, even the Christian faith has not been spared, as it too has been infiltrated with her intoxicating doctrines. We will present a partial list of these horrible deceptions below.
Christianity and judaism are two religions that share similar beliefs with regards to some of these deceptive doctrines:
(1)The jewish people are the chosen ones, and the gathering of these people to Israel is fulfillment of God’s promise to them.
Amazingly enough, many gullible religious christians buy into this lie.
The fact is that those who glory in the cross of Christ are the Israel of God (Gal 6:14-16).
The gathering together of the Elect by the Lord, to a Holy Jerusalem will not happen until Christ returns (Isa 51:1-19).
(2) Salvation is through works and deeds- A shared belief-
The fact is that Salvation nor the inheritance of the kingdom with Christ, are possible without the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Jer 23:1-6).
(3) The traditions of men, as opposed to the Word of God, are representative of the true doctrines and core beliefs of both of these religions.
The fact is, that the traditions of man, and men’s wisdom are foolishness with God (1 Cor 3:19). Within Christianity, the traditions of men have become the primarily teachings; very few of the so-called teachers or leaders, have the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and are therefore unable to discern the truth in the Word of God. This is why this religion is so divided.
Within judaism, they claim to follow the Torah, which are the first five books of the Old Testament, the other books of the Bible are of little importance to them. They do not believe Jesus is the Son of God, and therefore believe in keeping the old law as a means to salvation, which is impossible. Even Jeremiah speaks of the new law in Christ (Jer 31:31-33). The oral traditions of men written in the mishnah and talmud, and various other writings are of the highest priority to most who adhere to this religion. These people honor the Lord with their lips but their hearts are far from him (Isa 29:13; Mark 7:6).
(4) The Old Testament law is adhered to by both of these religions.
The fact is that the Olds Testament Law died with Christ (Isa 59:21). Christians are not obligated to keep the Sabbath, or tithe.
Within judaism, even the Torah is not adhered to; whoever keeps the law yet offends by not keeping one point of the law, is guilty of all that is written in the law (James 2:10). Furthermore they have no temple, no sacrifice for sins, and no Messiah.
(5) Both of these religions have a man made hierarchy.
The fact is that Christ condemns this practice, wherein men make themselves like unto masters, or little gods.
To the jews- But be not ye called Rabbi, for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren (Matt 23:8).
To the catholics- And call no man your father upon the earth, for one is your Father, which is in heaven (Matt 23:9).
To the Christians- You have one Shepherd, or pastor, namely Christ.
John 10:11-12 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep
Seventeen times in the New Testament the word shepherd is used. This word shepherd is always used in the singular, when referring to Christ.
There is only one verse in all of the New Testament where the word shepherd, is translated as pastors (Eph 4:11). The problem with this translation is significant.
This subtle yet deceptive change, wherein the word pastors is inserted in place of shepherd, creates a deadly precedence; this sets up albeit falsely, the justification for a hierarchy, allowing certain men to have authority over others.
Christ is the Good Shepherd, the verse below should make it clear, there is only one shepherd.
John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
The word and, is used five times in Ephesians 4:11.
And <G2532> he gave <G1325> some <G3303>, apostles <G652>; and <G1161> some, prophets <G4396>; and <G1161> some, evangelists <G2099>; and <G1161> some, pastors <G4166> and <G2532> teachers <G1320>Eph 4:11
The second, third and fourth use of the word and, is used correctly, as a continuative. A good translation for G1161, is the English word and.
The first and fifth use of the word and , is used incorrectly; in these two instances either the word indeed, or also, should be used instead of the word and. The reason being, is that the Greek word, kai G2352 is a connector.
Also note that the word some, G3303, is actually only used once in this verse and the other three times it is added.
Below we present a more accurate translation of this verse, to better grasp the intended meaning.
(1)Indeed, God gave some to be apostles, (2)and prophets, (3)and evangelists, (4)and a Shepherd who is (5)also our teacher
The other word to take notice of in Eph 4:11, is teacher; mainly it is translated as master, and is a title given to Christ.
This word is used 58 times in the New Testament.
Only twice is it used in reference to teachers in the church, and in both of these instances God sets the teachers, not man (1 Cor 12:28-29).
Two other times are where Paul is appointed a teacher, by God, unto the nations (1 Tim 2:7; 2 Tim 1:11).
Once is in reference to false teachers, and is one of the reasons this article is necessary.
2 Tim 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
And the last time this word is used it is translated as masters, and comes with an important warning.
James 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
If there was to be a hierarchy in the church apart from Christ, He would have mentioned it at least once, but He does not! As well, anyone claiming to be a teacher ordained of God, would have to be Baptized by the Spirit of God. Otherwise what they taught would be guesswork at best, or pure unadulterated deception by design. Actually both are at play today.
The fact is that Christ is the head of His Church (Eph 4:15; 4:4-5). All men are equal, and no man has any spiritual authority over another. Christ is the vine and we are the branch.
The body of Christ is one, (or at least it should be) and has many members. However all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ (1 Cor 12:12; Rom 15:6; 1 Cor 8:5-6; Gal 3:28). Those truly of and in Christ, with one mind and one Spirit are united together in faith (Phl 1:27).
Matt 20:25-28 Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Jesus makes it pretty clear there was to be no hierarchy. We are called to minister and serve each other, not serve ourselves.
Matt 23:6-7 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
We are not to follow after the traditions of other counterfeit religions. Christ Himself, made himself of no reputation, and took upon himself the form of a servant…(Phil 2:7). How dare we, lift up and exalt mere mortal men, who are but sinners.
(6) Both of these religions are drunk with spiritual idolatry Of the Great Whore, Some of these sins of idolatry are:
- Following false doctrines
- Self righteousness
- Seeking the praises of men
- Obsessed with reputations, or worldly achievements
- Placing any one or any thing above God
- Lovers of this world
- Idolizing religious leaders or their writings
- Assuming God is something He is not- Asking of Him wrongly
- Storing up treasures on earth
- Teaching false doctrines
- Calling men father, rabbi or shepherd/pastor
Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
The lusts of the flesh, including idolatry in regards to our treasures on earth invite the wrath of God. Yet worse than this, both of these religions have doctrines of devils, and yet claim to be free from idolatry. The Lord will judge them for this (Eph 2:3; John 3:36; Rom 1:18; Rom 2:5-9).
Jesus declared that the scribes and Pharisees, not only would not enter the kingdom themselves, but all that followed their wicked doctrines would be dammed as well. This same spiritual phenomenon still exists today. People still accept these seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. They nor their teachers will enter the kingdom, as it is impossible to do so without the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
The Pre-Tribulation Rapture, allows for the theory of the 144,000 that are Sealed to enable present day Israel to come to Christ, even though all Believers are the Israel of God. And the nonsensical notion that the Old Testament Law is still in effect, leads to the outrageous fable, declaring that Israel after the flesh, has a unique and separate destiny apart from the body of Christ.
Also there is a story book tale, regarding another temple that will be built in Jerusalem, even though the Word clearly states that the Holy City, is without a temple during the entire tribulation period (Rev11:2-8). It is the elect that are the temple of Christ, and He now resides in us (1 Cor 3:16-17; 6:19; 2 Cor 6:16; Rev 21:22).
Then we have a seven year covenant that is to be made between Israel and the Anti-Christ, even though scripture clearly teaches us that the Great Tribulation is three and a half years in duration, and the covenant is between Christ and His people.
It is also taught that the ones left behind are Israel after the flesh, or those who claim to be of the tribe of Judah, and it is the Christians who are taken to Heaven.
But Christ clearly taught, that as it was in the days of Noah, so would it be when He returns; the ones taken were destroyed, and the ones left behind were saved. As well when Christ does return, those that are worthy will be caught up, or raptured to be changed and reign with Him on earth (Luke 17:20-37; Rev 5:10).
Jerusalem the city of confusion, judaism, zionism and all that the Great Whore represents will be burnt up by a jealous God. Part of this judgment, is at the hands of the ten kings that serve Satan. These will hate the great whore.
The judgment must begin at the house of God, which is the Church of Christ. If this judgment begins with those who claim to be Christians, what shall the end be of them that do not even pretend to obey the gospel of Christ? Many who claim to adhere to Christianity but practice deceptive doctrines, do not have the spirit of Christ, and will also fall prey to the stronger deceptive force during the Great Tribulation (1 Peter 4:17; 2 Thes 2:9-12).There will come a falling away from the faith before Christ returns, and if it were possible even the very elect would be deceived during the reign of the Beast (2 Thes 2:3; Math 24:24).
Romans 4:14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
First of all, we are dead to the old law in Christ, so attempting to partake in something that is forbidden is disobedience. Not only is the practice of the works of the old law forbidden, they of the old law are not partakers of the promise of Christ.
Col 3:5-6 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
Idolatry through covetousness, as well as disobedience to Christ and His Gospel, is practiced by all that attempt to keep the old law (Gal 5:4).
1 Sam 15:22-23 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
Babylon is the RCC and her daughters, the Protestant churches that teach her false doctrines.

I see you’ve deleted all the comments. There is no mystery about the whore, it’s every single organised religion, they get into bed with every government in the hope it will give them authority over others. Sluts the lot of them.
Add: There is no mystery about Babylon either, it’s political spin, which is the epitome of babble.
The redeemed, righteous person is the temple of God. The Holy Spirit, as a down payment for the fulfillment of the Spirit at the coming of Jesus, is within each Christian.

Does this mean the beast/antichrist portrayed as sitting in the temple of God will be sitting within the temple of the person? I can see this concept as a symbolic possibility. God will never claim a stone and mortar temple (in my opinion) as His temple, because the temple of God is now the multiple redeemed individuals. If a redeemed person does actually believe the beast/antichrist is the Messiah or God, it could be assumed the Holy Spirit would leave and allow the mental beliefs of the person to think as they like which would be to place the AC as the “god” of their mind.
2 Thessalonians 2:4 KJV (4) Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
It could be possible in a symbolic, representative fashion, but is it the answer to the scripture? There appears to be some important scriptures left out of the opinion.
Below is a list of imported merchandise listed in Revelation 18. It is all used as temple furnishings and apparel. It someone could explain to me any symbolic significance for this, it would be greatly appreciated.
The Merchandise of the Temple
There is a large inventory of merchandise listed in Rev 18:12-13 which is of special character. Some commentators who consider New York, Rome, London, or Mecca as the MB must think that God, an angel, or John may have just listed an arbitrary catalogue of items that do not have much relevance to the afore mentioned cities, but they are mistaken. These items are requisites for the temple’s features and functions particularly the apparel of the high priest.
The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. (Revelation 18:12-13 KJV)
And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls. (Revelation 18:16 KJV)
Purple, Scarlet, and Fine Linen
Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet:… (Exodus 26:1 KJV)
Other temple items made from these materials are: the tabernacle curtains; the temple veil; the gate of the court hanging; the ephod, girdle, breastplate, and pomegranates of the high priest’s apparel.
Notice that the color, blue, is missing from the merchandise inventory although it is required in the Exodus 26:1 list. Blue fringe was to be worn by Israelites as a perpetual reminder of God’s commandments and not to go whoring after false gods and idols. It may be the idea of Satan or the AC to eliminate the color blue.
Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue: And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring: (Numbers 15:38-39 KJV)
Gold, Silver, Precious Stones, and Pearls
It appears that the people of Israel/Jerusalem will adorn themselves in a provocative and gaudy mode much like the symbolic manner that God accused Israel of doing when she started whoring with false gods and idols.
“They even sent for men from far away; when the messenger arrived, those men set out. For them you bathed, painted your eyes, and decorated yourself with jewelry. (Ezekiel 23:40 NET)
And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the LORD. (Hosea 2:13 KJV)
Gold, Silver, Precious Stones, Brass, Iron, Wood, and Marble
Gold, silver, precious stones, along with brass, iron, various woods, and marble are also materials to be used in the building of the temple and its implements.
Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance. (1 Chronicles 29:2 KJV)
Silk
Israel/Jerusalem was also clothed by God with silk, for one of the materials listed.
I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers’ skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk. (Ezekiel 16:10 KJV)
Thyine Wood
The word, thyine, is not found in the Bible other than in Rev 19, however the Encyclopedia of Biblical Literature, V1, associates thyine to algum wood, which is sometimes called almug wood.
And the servants also of Huram, and the servants of Solomon, which brought gold from Ophir, brought algum trees and precious stones. And the king made of the algum trees terraces to the house of the LORD, and to the king’s palace, and harps and psalteries for singers: and there were none such seen before in the land of Judah. (2 Chronicles 9:10-11 KJV)
Ivory
Ivory will be used to construct a throne.
Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the best gold.
(1 Kings 10:18 KJV)
Cinnamon, Odours, Ointments, and Frankincense
These items are parts of the temple offerings and each one can be referenced by referring to Exodus chapter 30.
Wine, Oil, Fine Flour, Wheat, Beasts, and Sheep
These are necessary items for the daily offerings and can be referenced by referring to Exodus chapter 29 for each item.
The ten horns (kings/rulers) will hate Jerusalem the harlot and they will destroy her.
And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. (Revelation 17:16 KJV)
The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, (Revelation 18:15 KJV)
The announcement of the destruction of Babylon occurs prior to the seventh trumpet but it appears to take place during the bowl judgments of God. Grievous skin sores, water turned to blood, fiery scorching sun, a painful darkness, thunders, lightning, the horde from the East, and a great earthquake will accompany the 10 kings as they prepare to destroy Mystery, Babylon the Great.
And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. (Revelation 14:8 KJV)
