Netanyahu’s comments, at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting, related to the the steps US Secretary of State John Kerry announced over the weekend in an effort to restore calm. These steps included an announcement by Netanyahu that Israel will continue to enforce its “longstanding policy” at the site, whereby only Muslims can worship there, while non-Muslims can visit.
Netanyahu told the ministers that he made clear to Kerry that there will be no change to the status quo, and that the site will continue to be administered as it has been.
“The visiting arrangements for Jews on the Temple Mount are preserved, and there will be no change,” he said, adding that the same is true of the prayer arrangements for the Muslims.
Netanyahu said that he was encouraged by the “positive response” of Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh to his clarifications on the matter. “I hope this will help calm down the situation, at least regarding the Temple Mount,” he said.
Jordan’s official Petra news Agency quoted Judeh as saying that Netanyahu’s remarks were a “welcome step in the right direction.”
In another matter, Netanyahu said that Israel would work to revoke the citizenship of a 23-year-old Israeli Arab man who paraglided into Syria Saturday from the Golan Heights in order to join a Syrian rebel group.
“We are fighting against Islamic State, Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations all the time,” he said. “Those who join the ranks of the enemy to fight Israel will not have Israeli citizenship.”
Regarding the controversy surrounding his decision to remove the latest version of the controversial Jewish state bill from the agenda of the Ministerial Committee for Legislation, the prime minister said that he was moving forward with the bill with the cooperation of all coalition partners, and in line with stipulations in the coalition agreement.

Lego let’s tell folks what some of the lies are. (1) The “Temple Mount” does not belong to Israel. It is occupied territory.
Israel seized it in a war of aggression in 1967. Israel had no right, none, zero, to do that.
(2) Israel’s sovereignty over anything derives from a UN mandate that partitioned British Palestine into a Jewish state and a Palestinian state.
Israel has refused to recognize the Palestinian state. Therefore Israel does not recognize the agreement that established Israel. Therefore Israel has no right to exist, none, zero.
(3) The “Wailing Wall” is what remains of a Roman fort, and the actual Jewish Temple existed a couple of hundred yards away. The “Temple Mount” is not the Temple Mount.
(4) The Satan-worshipping monsters probably already built their “Third Temple” in the form of the 1992 Supreme Court building. There is secrecy about the building, the cost, the plans, and parts are off limits, why? There is Freemason symbolism (pyramid + all-seeing eye, on top) and anti-Christian, Satanist symbolism. Everything is being played to a false interp. A third temple will be blasphemy to the Christian. Israel lost the glory of God in it’s midst ages ago. The second temple did not have the glory of God. Ichabod. When Christ ascended and then sent His Holy Spirit, those who believe on Jesus’ name so as to be saved became the temple of God’s Holy Spirit — regardless of tribe, language, gender, age, etc. in fulfillment of Joel 2. (See Acts 2)
There is nothing in the New Testament which points to a rebuilding of the temple as being God-inspired even without an animal sacrifice — as if that is a legitimate sticking point. God’s Spirit did not return to the second temple. Christ was referring to a *type* of abomination which causes desolation. Daniel was referring to the 70AD destruction of the second temple — a fulfillment of Christ’s prophecy in Mt.24 pointing to the deadness of Israel’s relation with their own God and it’s desolating consequences.
Dispensationalism is a system which locks God into a particular interp adding and subtracting from God’s Word. God is not in a box subject to the interps of just anybody who thinks they can figure Him out. It will all be fulfilled just as He says. Painting the picture of what we think He means ahead of time is the height of presumption.

Herod was king of the Jews so you are admitting that the Jews had a presence there before Islam. And, by the way, King Herod’s palace was not on the Temple Mount, it was quite some distance to the north from there.
King Herod was brought up in Rome, he was best friends with Emperor Claudius, and was an Israelite, not a Jew.
It would look very odd if I had put history backwards as you are doing. Herods castle/hill fort was destroyed by Rome in 70 CE, The Islamic dome on the rock was built in the 7th century CE. Jews however have never had a temple in Jerusalem, Judaism didn’t exist until after 70 CE and it was invented in Rome, not in Judea.
Crazy! – King Herod built the Jewish Temple. The original second temple was built by Nehemiah and Herod reconstructed it.

Herod also built a palace for himself in Jerusalem separate from the Temple.

Judaism as it is today was started by Rabbi Akiva (a Jew living in Judea) after the destruction of the temple in 70AD.
Herod was half Idumean-half Jew (i.e. of the tribe of Judah)

I’m stating fact’s, not debatable points. The evidence supports the temple mount site was the site of King Herod’s castle, there is no trace of an Israelite temple there, let alone a Jewish one.
You are making the very basic mistake of assuming Israelites are Jews, they are not. It’s a completely different belief system and wasn’t invented until after Rome wiped, Syria, Israel and Judea off the face of Earth in 70 CE. Jerusalem was in Judea by the way, not in Israel.

The Bible says Christ condemned all further temple worship. The Bible also says God will knock down any new temple that gets built on Mt. Moriah.
Therefore all this controversy about a new temple getting built is much ado about nothing.

Utter bunkum, seeing as Jews are not allowed on Temple Mount, they are allowed to kiss and fondle the outside foundation wall if they wish to. Who knows why because it’s not the site of the Israelites 2nd temple, and it certainly hasn’t got any connection to Jews who have never had a temple in Jerusalem. Unless you class banks as temples that is. Judaism was created after 70 CE by the political party of money lenders and traders called the Pharisees. They have no connection to the Israelites.
