Essential Christian Doctrine
Essential doctrines of the Christian Faith-Part Four
Of the essential doctrines in Christianity, the Gathering of the Saints in Christ comes in at number four on our list, and is an essential Christian doctrine of Christ.
The Gathering of the Elect of Christ, commonly referred to as the Rapture, is a significant doctrine or teaching of the Lord Jesus.
Rev 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Many profess to have an understanding of Revelations; some even claim to have the entire book deciphered. But without the gift of the Holy Spirit, all that will transpire is deception unto destruction.
Many Christian teachers declare that the truth regarding the rapture is not an essential Christian doctrine, this is simply false.
Matt 15:8-9 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
An essential Christian doctrine is revealed in the article, He that endures until the end shall be saved. To teach that Salvation occurs at any other time is simply deception.
This ties into the pretribulation rapture lie, as many are unwilling to endure for Christ.
True believers have the hope of their Eternal Inheritance, destined to be revealed at Christ’s Second Coming. An essential Christian doctrine is that Christ will only return a second time for His Elect. There is not a third secret return by him mentioned anywhere in the Word of God.
Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
1 John 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
The infilling of the Holy Spirit is our connection with Christ, that teaches guides and shows us things to come. The true followers of Christ, that are Spirit filled, will not accept lies such as the pretribulation rapture fairy tale.
1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
Another essential Christian doctrine is that we must, through much tribulation, enter into the kingdom of God (Acts 14:22).
Rev 6:9-11 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
We all will experience tribulations, if we faithfully carry our cross and are a true witness for our Lord and Savior.
1 Peter 4:12-13 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy
Just who are these pretribulation rapture Christians, who are supposedly taken away before this time of trouble, and what special rights do they have over the rest of the body that suffered for their faith?
John 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
Christ Himself dispelled the myth of taking us out of the world. There are several promises hidden to most in the Lord’s Prayer. And none of them allude to a pretribulation rapture.
Christ clearly explains that one shall be taken and the other shall be left behind. As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be when the Son of Man returns. An essential Christian doctrine is to understand that the ones taken are to be destroyed. Christians most definitely want to be left behind, to inherit the Kingdom on earth at Christ’s Second Coming.
Mark 13:24-27 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
After the great tribulation Christ gathers all of the elect; is this not an essential Christian doctrine. It would be unnecessary to gather the heavenly host, if it were not for the fact that they also were to reign on earth with Him.
Rev 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
It is not just during the great tribulation, than men have become martyrs for Christ.
Rev 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
Many will also become martyrs for Christ during the final 3 ½ years of this earth age.
Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Matt 24:39-40 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
When Christ returns a second time, one shall be taken, but not to heaven. They are actually taken to Hell, to await the final judgment after the 1000 year reign of Christ. The elect are left behind to remain on earth. This is the exact opposite of what the pre-tribulation rapture crowd teaches. And again we ask” is this not an essential Christian doctrine”.
John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
2 Tim 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
The apostle Paul clearly points out that he will receive the crown of righteousness at the same time as all those that love His appearing, this also is an essential Christian doctrine.
To imagine that one shall be taken to receive the reward of eternal life before the tribulation, while Paul waits until the end of the tribulation for his is ludicrous.
2 Tim 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
Christ judges the living and the dead at His appearing and His earthly kingdom. If there is a pre tribulation rapture then this group escapes the judgment. This is impossible, as it is appointed unto man once to die and then the judgment (2 Tim 4:1; Heb 9:27-28). Those who promote this theory claim not only three separate earthly visits by Christ, but three separate judgments as well, one of which is a secret even to the group that propagates this fairy tale.
Rev 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
The prophets, Saints and servants are rewarded at this time, which is at the end of the great tribulation period.
This verse in Rev 11:18, also destroys the notion of a pre-tribulation rapture.
A rapture or gathering of the church before this time is quite impossible, how could the prophets not be worthy of the same rewards of the church, that is supposedly taken away and transformed years before they are. Salvation at any time other than that of the second coming of Jesus our redeemer is also truly an essential Christian doctrine.
The reward for the righteous is salvation, which just happens to occur when Christ returns (Isa 62:11; Col 3:24; Rev 22:12).

Revelation 12: 6 is a problem for those waiting to be snatched.
6 “And the woman — FLED — into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that “they” should feed her there a thousand two hundred [and] threescore days.”
Verse 6 is a real problem for the rapture folks,, they expect to be “taken” to heaven and here the church is fleeing, not taken and not snatched to heaven but they — fled– to the wilderness for 3 ½ years i.e. 1260 days.
Has the Third Heaven, the Throne of God the Father, ever been referred to as a “wilderness”??
guys, I would love the see how you will handle this one.

Wow that was quick — my comment just vanished.
but lucky for you I kept a copy

I have another one you might like:
Can a rapture of “any kind” be found in Matthew 24
Matthew 24: 29 – 31
29 “Immediately – AFTER – the tribulation of those days — shall the sun be darkened,” —-
Christ is very precise and clear when He says “IMMEDIATELY “AFTER”- the tribulation” which can only mean when The Great Tribulation is over – will the 6th Seal begins. The Heavenly Signs which are the 6th Seal begin with the sun becoming darkened.
29 — continues —— “and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken”
The sun, moon and the stars are used as heavenly signs announcing God’s intervention into the affairs of man: these heavenly signs comprise the 6th Seal by which God will stop the complete annihilation of all mankind by Satan. Remember Christ’s own statement in verse 22 that no flesh would be saved alive if the time of the Tribulation were not cut short? God is doing the shaking of the heavens and the earth, not man, not Satan.
Does the description of the 6th Seal given by Christ in Matthew 24 match with what Christ reveals to John in Revelation 6?
6: 12 – And I beheld when He had opened the 6th Seal and lo there was a great earthquake and— the sun became black as sackcloth of hair— and the moon became as blood.”
24: 29 – Shall the sun be darkened.
—-
6: 13 – The stars of heaven fell unto the earth.
24: 29 – The stars shall fall from heaven.
—-
6: 14 – The heaven departed as a scroll and every mountain and island were moved out of place.
24: 29 —- “and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:”
And in Joel 2: 30, 31 God through Joel confirms that the 6th Seal comes just before the 7th Seal which is the Day of the Lord.
Joel 2: 30, 31
30 “And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke.”
31 “The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood –“before” — the great and the terrible Day of the Lord — come.”
The sun into darkness and the moon unto blood which is the 6th Seal and the 6th comes before the 7th Seal which Joel states IS – The Day of the Lord. The 7 Trumpets are the Wrath of God poured out upon gentiles and the 7th Seal is the Day of the LORD.
Yes it is CONFIRMED twice by Jesus Christ and once by Joel the prophet, after the Great tribulation comes the 6th Seal which is the Heavenly signs.
The 7th Seal is the Day of the LORD and of The Wrath of God on the Beast Power and all the gentile nations. God gets the gentile powers attention by shaking the heavens i.e. the 6th Seal. Heavens is plural and must then include the planets and stars above as well as the mantel of air above earth.
By the time the 6th Seal is completed the heavens ‘shall have been shaken’ and everyone on earth will have experienced the Heavenly Signs and will be in great fear and attempting to hide.
When the 6th Seal has ended the last Seal begins which is the Seventh ( 7 ) Seal and that Seal brings us the return of Jesus Christ King of kings and LORD of lords.
At the end of the DAY of the LORD –“At the Last Day” – Jesus Christ of Nazareth returns to earth.
Mathew 24: 30
30 “And then shall appear the SIGN of the Son of man in heaven:” ——–
Christ in Matthew 24 after explaining the 6th Seal comes as the Great Tribulation ( 5th Seal) ends, Christ moves next to the sign of His appearing with verse 30 leaving aside for now the 7 Trumpets of the 7th Seal which are the 7 measures of the Wrath of God. Christ moves directly to the end of the 7th Seal which is the last Trump i.e. The 7th and last Trump of the 7th Seal and to the Sign of His coming.
In many scriptures the last trump which holds the Seven Last Plagues is shown to be the time of Christ’s return as King of kings. When the 7th and last plague is poured out heaven opens and a great voice proclaims;
“IT IS DONE”. When the Wrath of God and the Day of the LORD are complete –Christ returns.
Many imagine the Sign of the Son of Man that will appear in heaven to be a cross. When the ‘Sign’ appears it will first appear over Jerusalem and continue west until it rest again over Jerusalem and that Sign will be – Great LIGHT — brighter then our sun. The SIGN of Christ’s return is Jesus Christ bringing the LIGHT OF THE TRUTH finally to all the earth.
30 continues—– “And then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with Power and Great Glory.”
Why else would the tribes mourn, they will see Christ coming in unimaginable great power?
You must admit, if He turned around and went back the earth would no longer mourn, they would be overjoyed and celebrate. This is not a rapture, Christ in Matthew 24 has just taken us through the 5th, 6th and 7th Seals and to the very day of His Return as King of kings in all power to rule earth and not one hint of going back to heaven.
The whole earth sees and realizes what is taking place, never has any man much less the entire earth witnessed the Awesome Power and Glory of Almighty God which the Father will forcefully demonstrate unmistakably around the entire earth at the return of His Son Jesus Christ. And Christ comes in the Clouds “On the Last Day” and exactly as He left after His Resurrection — in the clouds of the sky – He comes over a day that all will witness. Read Zechariah 14: 5 – 9, Christ returns is a globe circling event witnesses by every one on earth. In that Day there will be no night.
Verses 30 and 31 totally destroy the satanic doctrine of a rapture.
31 “And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, —- “
Christ sends His angels with the great sound of a Trumpet. Here is where the whole concept of the rapture vanishes; the 5th, 6th, and now the 7th Seal are now complete with the great sounding of the Last Trump and at the end of the last of 7 trumps Christ comes with indescribable Power and Great Glory. As we move through this work it will become clear, Christ returns at the very end of the 7th Trump i.e. the Last Trump.
31 continues “— And they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”
As shown by the words of Jesus Christ above — WHEN– the 5th and 6th Seals are completed — and WHEN the last of the 7 trumpets of the 7th Seal is sounded THEN Christ returns in the clouds — THEN and ONLY THEN — Christ sends His Angels to gather His Elect from the 4 winds – from one end of heaven to the other.
And what is His signal to the Angels that they are to go and gather– – A great sound of a trumpet. WHEN Christ comes in the clouds – –WHEN all the Seals are complete —THEN — the angels gather the Elect, so says Jesus Christ our King of kings.
WHEN –All — 7 of the SEALS have been completed – THEN and ONLY THEN — do- the angels gather the Elect and take them up to meet Christ.
