The Ancient Teachings Of Enoch Banned By The Church

(Before It's News)

The Book of Enoch is an ancient Jewish religious work, ascribed by tradition to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah. Genesis 5:24 - Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away. David Vose‘s commentry on the below video “Enoch wrote great knowledge before the flood and he walked with God. If he walked with God why? Did God just like his company? Why didn’t God walk with other people, more often. Was it to explain the mysteries to him? Why don’t we have these Mysteries if they were so important. Well, the Ancient book of Enoch is quoted by the Apostles.

The book was rediscovered in modern times. Is it possible God has a message in there for us? If so, perhaps it is a great one. It is. and It is great. I recommend that you hear it. This video will tell you what that mystery is. It will definitely SHOCK you.”

The Book of Enoch, written during the second century B.C.E., is one of the most important non-canonical apocryphal works, and probably had a huge influence on early Christian, particularly Gnostic, beliefs. Filled with hallucinatory visions of heaven and hell, angels and devils, Enoch introduced concepts such as fallen angels, the appearance of a Messiah, Resurrection, a Final Judgement, and a Heavenly Kingdom on Earth. Interspersed with this material are quasi-scientific digressions on calendrical systems, geography, cosmology, astronomy, and meteorology.

This etext has been prepared specially for sacred-texts, and is a great improvement over other versions on the Internet, with the introduction, correct verse numbering, page numbers from the 1917 edition, and intact critical apparatus.

  • The reason why the early church fathers and the King James Bible translators rejected the Book of Enoch as inspired of God, WASN’T to hide the truth; BUT, because it isn’t the truth. The Book of Enoch is a fraud, an imposter, and straight from Hell. I triple-dog dare you to try cross-referencing the Book of Enoch with the Word of God … good luck! When I read in chapter 1:9 of the Book of Enoch that an angel named Phanuel is “set over the repentance unto hope of those who inherit eternal life” … I knew the Book of Enoch was fraudulent.

Salvation is found ONLY in Christ Jesus, “Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” King David said in Psalm 62:6, “He (Jesus) only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.” Phanuel… you’re a fraud! Jesus is the ONLY Way, Truth, and Life (John 14:6).

The truth is that Satan is a murderous thief, who’s sole purpose of existence now is to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10). Satan hates the Word of God, because It is his greatest enemy in this world. Therefore, Satan seeks to destroy the Bible. If he cannot destroy the Bible, then he tries to corrupt the Bible by changing it (Romans 1:25; 2nd Peter 3:16). If Satan cannot destroy or corrupt the Bible, then he tries to introduce “new” so-called “lost books” of the Bible to confuse people.

It is NO coincidence nowadays, in this time of great apostasy—when homosexuals are being given in marriage, when babies are being murdered by the hundreds-of-millions worldwide through abortion, when witchcraft is all around us, when booze and gambling are commonplace, when sexual sins and lasciviousness have saturated society, when churches are silent concerning sin and false religion—that we should see all these “new” so-called revelations concerning the Bible.

I down voted you because of your act of terrorism: “Salvation is found ONLY in Christ Jesus”, “homosexuals are being given in marriage, when babies are being murdered by the hundreds-of-millions worldwide through abortion, when witchcraft is all around us, when booze and gambling are commonplace, when sexual sins and lasciviousness have saturated society”

      • “I down voted you because of your act of terrorism…”

That ranks in the top five most amusing things ever posted in the BINs.

I would up vote Amminadab for writing what you objected to, but that was only a portion of his post, so I’ll refrain.

You’ve wandered right across the threshold, Pix, from the outlandish to the deranged.

        • Pix

Any act of separation based on unsubstantiated codswallop, putting yourself above other people, is an act of aggression and terrorism. If you can’t see that you are damaged goods.

          • I’ll agree with your objection to ‘putting yourself above other people.’ That’s deplorable behavior. Tantamount to terrorism? Hardly. But certainly deplorable.

Fortunately for all Scripture believers, the Word teaches us to do the exact opposite. And he who strays from what is written has only himself to blame.

But again, I find nothing objectionable with the portion of Amminadab’s post you commented on.

          • terrorism>? TERRORism? aaaah a follower of David Spangler this Pix is, an example of a person who has become ONE with the polluted spirit which occupy’s him, that is the reason for the rabid anti-Bible hatred, and extreme desire to be PART of the world, to be INCLUDED not excluded, you PIX< love Alice Bailey,

for we exhibit a Spirit of EXCLUSIVENESS, which is defined by a simple statement, ARE YOU DOING YOUR DUTY AS A HUMAN??
            WHAT IS YOUR DUTY?

The Beef Supreme Fulfills HIS DUTY, quite professionally too.
YOU PIX< however, HATE your duty and seek to escape it
            !!! HOW!!!

YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT YOUR ONLY DUTY AS A LIVING HUMAN IS.

            well here:

Ecc 12:11 The words of the wise are like goads, and as nails driven by the masters of collections – they were given by one Shepherd.
Ecc 12:12 And besides these, my son, be warned – the making of many books has no end, and much study is a wearying of the flesh.
Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the entire matter: Fear Elohim and guard His commands, for this applies to all mankind!
Ecc 12:14 For Elohim shall bring every work into right-ruling, including all that is hidden, whether good or whether evil.

SO PIX, IN THIS PUBLIC FORUM, BEFORE THE EYES OF MEN AND BEFORE THE INVISIBLE< DO TELL US WHAT YOU THINK OF YOUR DUTY.

” Tantamount to terrorism? Hardly. But certainly deplorable.

Fortunately for all Scripture believers, the Word teaches us to do the exact opposite.”

But you don’t, point out a moment in time when your religion has allowed other people to practice their traditional beliefs without your religion terrorising them?

          • Pix

“aaaah a follower of David Spangler this Pix is,”

Wrong, I’m an Iceland atheist not a American spiritualist and I’d never heard of him. Better take another guess, you’re imagination is running away you. Tip. stop reinventing people in your warped mind because you disagree with them, it’s completely transparent as disingenuous and shows you up to be little more than a puerile idiot troll. Just a suggestion of course.

The truth is what it is, hating it would be a waste time.

          • Pix

Richard “Ecc 12:14 For Elohim shall bring every work into right-ruling, including all that is hidden, whether good or whether evil.”

Elohim is plural and feminine, the name of dusk and dawn to represent planet Earth. Often depicted as two cow horns, eg see Hathor’s headdress, a solar disc with horns either side. El on the other hand is singular and masculine.

The original story of El of the Elohim has El (sun) out hunting one day (shining his light) when he came across two goddesses, Asherah and Rhomerah, dusk and dawn. He cooked them a meal and asked if wanted to remain his daughters (dusk and dawn are the products of sunlight on Earth), or become his wives (produce life). They both agreed to become his wives and the union produced El’s only begotten son, Baal, the god of weather and crops.

As I keep stating as a fact, Christianity has not so much as a single element that is unique or original to it.

          • But you don’t, point out a moment in time when your religion has allowed other people to practice their traditional beliefs without your religion terrorising them?

            —–

‘Valid peoples’ being those whose tradition is post Jewishness?

      • Surely even posting would itself be a crime against your post jewish order?

        • Pix

Obviously you too thick to understand that “post 70 CE” does not mean “post Jewish”.

    • Amminadab wrote:

“When I read in chapter 1:9 of the Book of Enoch…”

      Amminadab,

You are not reading from 1 Enoch. There is only ONE Book of Enoch; not three. Books 2 and 3 are Gnostic concoctions. Book 1 does not reflect the verse you quoted (9) in chapter 1.

You should look into this more closely.

    • The churches have been in a state of apostasy for a long time, otherwise their would be no pagan Christmas celebrations and the pagan day Easter would not be substituted for Passover, the time that is to be observed.

Also the eating of abominable things such as Swine was never made clean as Yahweh is the law giver and does not change.

Denominations have become organized 501 C3 religion where the attorney General of the state located is the head of the church.

    • …..Sad, all the people that claim the book of Enoch is a fraud. So genius, where is the information on the falling angels in the bible but Genesis 6, The book of Enoch is like any other book that was referenced in the bible. Just because it’s not in there doesn’t mean its false. The Psalms of David, the book of kings, the six and seven books of Moses, are all fakes huh. You have Roman Catholic eyes, who do you think are the ones that pick the books to be in the bible, the Councils of Carthage. Well the same Catholic church the worship the statue of Mary, call the Pope holy father, and is the harlot in Revelation. The Catholic bible has 73 books, to the 66 of the bible you read. That isn’t odd to you…You probably never read the full book of Enoch. You are just following behind another person spiritually blindness. The book of Enoch, just like revelation provided information on a distant generation the one you live in now. Whether you like it or not, pray for common sense

    • Phaniel is the face of God. The Angel of the Presence

The phrase occurs in Isaiah 63:9, which states that, throughout the history of Israel, God has loved and been merciful to that nation and shared in its distresses, saving Israel with “the angel of his presence”. The Septuagint translation of the Book of Isaiah emphasizes that this term is simply a way of referring to God, not a created angel.

“The Book of Enoch is an ancient Jewish religious work,..”

No it isn’t, it’s not Christian either, it’s an Ethiopian (South West Africa) story.

“It is not part of the biblical canon as used by Jews, apart from Beta Israel. Most Christian denominations and traditions may accept the Books of Enoch as having some historical or theological interest or significance, but they generally regard the Books of Enoch as non-canonical or non-inspired.[3] It is regarded as canonical by the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church and Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church, but not by any other Christian group.”
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_of_Enoch

“Beta Israel (Hebrew: בֵּיתֶא יִשְׂרָאֵל, Beyte (beyt) Yisrael; Ge’ez: ቤተ እስራኤል, Bēta ‘Isrā’ēl, modern Bēte ‘Isrā’ēl, EAE: “Betä Ǝsraʾel”, “House of Israel” or “Community of Israel”[4]), also known as Ethiopian Jews ”
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beta_Israel

Judaism didn’t exist until after 70 CE, they are not referring to modern Jews. The Israelites were polytheistic. The name Israel is the name of their three solar deities, as aspects of the sun. osirIS+RA+EL = ISRAEL. They equate with Osiris solar minimum activity, Ra solar maximum activity and El balanced solar activity, eg the sun we have today between ice age and optimum warmth.

    • The ethiopians considering it canonical does NOT make it ethiopian. It doesn’t come from west Africa and is found amongst the dead sea scrolls.

      • That was a well-worded, lucid and perfectly coherent statement, Meidan.

It also happens to be true, according to the facts as I understand them.

        Huzzah.

        • Pix

It’s not true. Yes copies of the book of Enoch were found amongst the dead sea scrolls. But they are copies written in Aramaic, not in Hebrew. My statement of fact stands, it’s Ethiopian in origin.

          • NOTHING found in Qumran traces its roots to Ethiopia, Pix.

Your statement of facts is erroneous. Per usual.

        • Pix

“NOTHING found in Qumran traces its roots to Ethiopia, ”

It doesn’t trace to Judaism at all, the oldest copies of Enoch are far older than Hebrew let alone Judaism, the oldest copies of Enoch comes from Ethiopian Beta Israeli. The cart goes behind the horse, not in front.

          • Have you been eating bleach powder again in the faculty lounge, Pix?

How old do you say the Ethiopic Manuscripts are?

And how old are the Qumran Manuscripts?

I see simple math was something you neglected in your formative years.

          • Ethiopians would hardly consider Enoch canonical if they thought it came from east Africa.

You, of course, are free to just ignore what freaking retards believe.

      • Pix

Aramaic copies were found amongst the dead sea scrolls, not Hebrew originals.

        • So Jesus probably wrote them on his nights off.

          Cudos!

          • Pix

Jesus didn’t write anything at all.

          • LOL.

    • Pix

It actually makes far more sense being Ethiopian in origin, seeing as that is the exact area of the world that our DNA proves we all originated from.

  • the book was written in egypt in the intertestamental period.

the septuagent translators rejected it because it has egyptian authorship, not hebrew authorship

also the story is too weird with cannibalistic hybrid giants eating people. also there are many teachings in it that contradict the scriptures.

also there were too many textual variations among the copies available, the translators were not sure which was the correct version

also, it seems to be five different books stiched together in one scroll. The books have a lot of differences.

two ethiopian orthodox churches use enoch. all others reject it. see the wikipedia article on the canon.

an article on why it is not in the scripture:
    http://christianity.stackexchange.com/questions/8576/why-is-the-book-of-enoch-not-regarded-as-canonical

  • More loony bible babble, false gods and magic men in the sky…

  • The Book of Enoch is any of several pseudepigraphal (falsely attributed works, texts whose claimed authorship is unfounded) works that attribute themselves to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah; that is, Enoch son of Jared (Genesis 5:18). Enoch is also one of the two people in the Bible taken up to heaven without dying (the other being Elijah), as the Bible says “And Enoch walked with God, and he was not; for God took him.” (Genesis 5:24; see also Hebrews 11:5). Most commonly, the phrase “Book of Enoch” refers to 1 Enoch, which is wholly extant only in the Ethiopic language.

The biblical book of Jude quotes from the Book of Enoch in verses 14-15, “Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: ‘See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.’” But this does not mean the Book of Enoch is inspired by God and should be in the Bible.

Jude’s quote is not the only quote in the Bible from a non-biblical source. The Apostle Paul quotes Epimenides in Titus 1:12 but that does not mean we should give any additional authority to Epimenides’ writings. The same is true with Jude, verses 14-15. Jude quoting from the book of Enoch does not indicate the entire Book of Enoch is inspired, or even true. All it means is that particular verse is true. It is interesting to note that no scholars believe the Book of Enoch to have truly been written by the Enoch in the Bible. Enoch was seven generations from Adam, prior to the Flood (Genesis 5:1-24). Evidently, though, this was genuinely something that Enoch prophesied – or the Bible would not attribute it to him, “Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men…” (Jude 14). This saying of Enoch was evidently handed down by tradition, and eventually recorded in the Book of Enoch.

We should treat the Book of Enoch (and the other books like it) in the same manner we do the other Apocryphal writings. Some of what the Apocrypha says is true and correct, but at the same time, much of it is false and historically inaccurate. If you read these books, you have to treat them as interesting but fallible historical documents, not as the inspired, authoritative Word of God.

    http://www.gotquestions.org/book-of-Enoch.html

  • DK

The book of Enoch well was not part of the Christian faith, based on Gospels, not the Testament which was for Israel(The majority of converts were never Jews and certainly never of Abraham’s race). It was itself most probably never heard of by the majority of the population in Israel at the time of Christ, definitely had not been put into print and included in Torah scrolls, therefore should be included in Talmud lore as a post Christ fable with as much truth as the Epic of Gilgamesh and as much legal authority as Kim Il Sung ordering about the average New Yorker on main street.

However there are many out there putting out these lies in print as Bibles because what is written must be true because books are holy, Noahide law types imposing their ‘laws’ on others for their own benefit. People just have to grow up and stop believing in false idols.

  • The text of this book is readily available, as such, the term “banned” is a bit over-the-top.

“Laughed at” or “Ignored” might be more accurate.
