The Great Tribulation is not the wrath of God. In the teachings within Christianity today few understand just what the wrath of God is.
2 Tim 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us
All day long true believers are accounted as sheep for the slaughter, during the Great Tribulation period which is 3 1/2 years in duration, this will only intensify. Salvation is received by those who were sealed with the promise, from Christ. Hell and finally the Lake of Fire are reserved for the unbeliever. This is His wrath, eternal separation from Him.
Rev 6:10-11 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth. And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they [were], should be fulfilled.
Those that are killed for living for Christ do participate in the Great Tribulation, so this is not His wrath. For the believer to die for Christ is gain.
Rev 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come (or coming soon); and who shall be able to stand?
After the sixth seal mankind knows that the wrath is about to come very soon. This is towards the end of the Great Tribulation period. The two witnesses are present on earth for the three and a half years of the Great Tribulation, and their testimony undoubtedly in part, will be a warning of the wrath that is soon to come.
Rom 2:5-8 But after thy hardness and unrepentant heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
The day of wrath and the day of Christ’s revelation are one and the same. Unfortunately multitudes today do not obey the Truth, but follow self-righteousness instead of submitting to the will of the Father. They allow self proclaimed leaders with numerous doctrines of damnation to lead them into a state of delusion. Both teacher and student alike have eyes but yet they do not see. They have been blinded by the cares and lusts of this world, and never truly come to the Light in Christ Jesus. Jesus has to reside in your heart as well as your mind. For where your treasure is likewise this is where your heart will also be. No one can serve two masters, you will both trust in and serve God, storing up spiritual riches, or you will put your trust in the things of this world that perish.
The verses below represent God’s wrath, to die for Christ is a privilege, to die apart from Him is unimaginable.
Jer 7:29 Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.
Jer 7:33 And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.
Zeph 1:15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,
Zeph 1:17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
The purpose of this study in part, is to present the true gospel message, so as to expose the seduction of the unbiblical notion of a rapture before the appointed time. The gathering (commonly referred to as the rapture) will take place at Christ’s return wherein the Elect will reign with Him for a thousand years. So we don’t go up to heaven as it were, but rather He again comes down to us. This will reveal and bring to pass part of the Lord’s Prayer He taught us; Thy Kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
2 Peter 1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
2 Thess 2:1-3 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means:for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.
A war unlike any other is coming, that will separate the wheat or true Children of God from the tares. Those who are not deceived and are in the Light of Christ, see the evidence of this approaching intense Spiritual battle; the world will be will introduced to the man of sin also referred to as the Son of Perdition, Little Horn and The Beast; it is this Beast that is empowered by Satan, and the False Prophet, that cause a great falling away from the truth of Christ as a result of their lying signs and wonders. This time of trouble with a duration of three and a half years is the Great Tribulation, and will conclude with the appearance of Christ Jesus the Messiah. Christ will gather together in one all things, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth, to reign with Him in His Kingdom. For a better understanding of the duration of the Great Tribulation period, and where the false notion of a seven year timeline comes from click here.
Luke 21:8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am (also of) Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
The deceptive teachings regarding the rapture, when realized to be false will cause a great falling away. When the hope of this escape from the Great Tribulation is lost it will utterly destroy the belief system of those who bought into this lie. Whether they have any faith at all though is questionable, as they think a formula of words saves them, and are not even aware that Redemption occurs when Jesus returns. See the article on Salvation here.
Luke 21:26-28 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
The distortions, grievous offences and utter lies that are accepted as doctrine today establish clearly the lateness of the hour like a blanket of darkness that has almost completely smothered out the light of the Word.
The coming of our Lord and our gathering together unto Him are one in the same. This verse is straightforward; Jesus has to come in order that we can be gathered unto him (2 Thes 2:1).
Only with purposeful deceit can one come up with two appearances of Christ. We are told in Hebrews that Christ will appear a second time with Salvation; Jesus does not appear three or more times, only twice.
The deceivers again try to destroy a simple truth and come up with two separate events.
The first one is a gathering of the saints some years prior to his return.
The second one is the coming of our Lord at the end of the Great Tribulation period.
Christ returns only once as judge and ruler after his original earthly ministry.
Mark 13:24-27 But in those days, after the great tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
Christ’s first visit was to make Salvation possible through His shed blood, and outpouring of His Holy Spirit (the Comforter) that would dwell in those whom He set apart or sanctified.
The return visit will be when He Reigns in His Kingdom as Lord of Lords; at this time He gathers all of His Elect who are counted as worthy, to a restored earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Satan will be locked up during this millennial reign only to be allowed one last short period afterwards, in which to practice a final spiritual revolution for a little season.
2 Peter 1:20-21 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
As the above verses points out, the Bible is of no private interpretation. The Word is spoken through and received by those who are of the spirit. This means that the spoken word that God gave us can not be understood or interpreted correctly by any one He did not seal or set apart.
In the first chapter of Ephesians this entire transformation process is wonderfully described. We hear the Word of Truth, then Trust in the Gospel of our Salvation. When we truly believe we are sealed with the Holy Spirit, which is a Promise of our Inheritance with the Saints. We are sealed until the day of redemption when we will be changed and Eternal like the Angels, and be with the Lamb of God for ever.
There is much debate and false teaching about the timing of the return of our Lord. However even a child (with the infilling or Baptism of the Spirit of Truth) can see the simple yet profound truth with ease. And it only takes a child like faith to understand, that after the tribulation He gathers the Elect. Spiritual discernment allows us to spot the carnal minded man that teaches or understands in error.
The indwelling or Baptism of the Spirit, is the key to opening and understanding the mysteries in His Holy Word.
Many people have little interest in the book of revelations, because they believe the lie that it does not pertain to them.
These events which are known as the Great Tribulation will be unparalleled by anything since the beginning of creation, and will culminate in the physical return of Jesus who brings forth both great rewards for the Elect, and a cataclysmic judgment for the deceived and deceivers.
Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
The verse above makes it quite clear that we all shall see him, including all who have not submitted unto his Lordship and those responsible for putting him to death.
What a glorious time for the true believer to witness His physical return at the second coming.
Acts 1:9-11 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
There will not be a secret pre-tribulation gathering (or pre-tribulation rapture), and then another returning for the first judgment.
This would require a second and third coming but this notion is nowhere to be found in scripture.
Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Christ will appear again for the second time, a secret rapture and then final return would contradict scripture.
Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
The sufferings during the Great Tribulation, that we are to endure, do not compare to the end result if we faithfully endure with faith. The rewards promised to the Elect in Christ is the confirmation of our salvation and the redemption of our bodies.
Rom 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
We wait for the adoption, transformation and salvation promised to those who are sealed (or sanctified), unto the day of redemption; this is also refereed to as our deliverance.
1 Pet 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
We in no way can lose our salvation, because upon Christ’s return one is either saved or dammed. He that endures until the end shall be saved.
1 Pet 4:12-13 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
The Great Tribulation will try our faith, but through his spirit we can endure. We take part in Christ’s suffering, as the world also hates the light that we shine, illuminating deception and exposing evil. But at his revealing we will rejoice greatly with him, for us to live is to be in Christ.
1 Pet 4:16-18 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
In order for the rapture deception to be a sellable teaching a lot of scripture needs to be re written to sell the story. The claim is that Christians are gone and the ungodly will accept Christ, even though they have rejected him beforehand, and are given unto a strong spirit of delusion. If the righteous (or elect) be scarcely saved what chance do those who are supposedly left behind have?
Rev 13:12-14 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
This second beast also referred to as the false prophet, will do amazing things and will deceive the world with real miracles and wonders, during the Great Tribulation. People (that are spiritually blind) will see and believe in this grand illusion (Rev 19:20).
Mat 13:19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
It is easy to say you are a Christian, but it is an entirely different matter to live for Christ daily, submit to his plan and make him Lord of your life. To suffer for Christ requires not only his grace but one has to be grounded in his Word and have a real unshakeable faith. Otherwise one will fall away when the going gets tough, which it will during the Great Tribulation, and the understanding just is not there, due to deceptions lies and illusions.
Mat 13:20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
Many who say they are believers will fall away once the antichrist comes onto the scene, with his intense persecution of those who hold fast to the truth. The fearful worldly person who puts all his emphasis on trying to save his life on this earth will loose it. However the spiritual man who sacrifices his life for Christ and the gospel will receive salvation.
2 Tim 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Over time gross distortions are accepted as truth. We live in this time right now!!
Christ told us that in this world many would experience fist hand the Great Tribulation, but we are to be of good cheer, as He has overcome the world. How is this even possible, to have joy in times of trouble? Without the indwelling of His Holy Spirit we can do nothing, but through His Spirit we can do all things through Christ Jesus. Having our eyes fixed on the Kingdom of Christ and our true Eternal and Spiritual Treasures, as opposed to the illusions of treasures in this present evil world, enable us to endure all things. We are more than conquerors through Christ that Loves us (Rom 8:37; John 16:33; Acts 14:22; Phl 4:13).
During the great tribulation period, the Anti-Christ and the false prophet would deceive if it were possible even (the very elect) those that are spirit filled and walking in the truth.
Rev 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Jesus knew who among the many would claim his name, know the truth and thus be made free. When we pray “lead us not into temptation” this is not of a physical escape from being enticed by sin. When we are delivered from evil it is God’s spiritual force that keeps us from obeying the lusts of the flesh.
Likewise the message to the church in Philadelphia is spiritual in nature. It is the Holy Spirit that has always allowed God’s chosen to endure persecutions, which are contrary or foreign to those with a carnal mind.
II Th 1:4-5 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
Once we can separate ourselves from the desires and cares of this flesh and the love of this world, we can then faithfully endure the Great Tribulation that are sure to come to those of us who walk with Christ.
Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Taking verses out of context to fit a selfish desire is the new gospel interpretation method employed to deceive the hearts of the simple. If one is to read all of Luke chapter 21, it becomes clear the things we want to escape from. Deception, distress, lack of wisdom and great fear are but a few of the conditions we want to be delivered from. Interestingly enough the things that most true followers of Christ do not escape from are persecutions betrayal and death.
Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
There is a heavy price to pay for adhering to the doctrines of devils. This is the work of iniquity practiced by the fearful and self-righteous; remember he who loves his life will lose it. But he that hates his life in this present evil world will receive life eternal. If we truly have faith and hope of life in Christ, then we are willing to die for the sake of Christ and the Gospel if need be, as everything else is but vanity and an illusion.
Can there be a second church referred to as the brethren, saints and fellow servants. Is the first church not to go through the Great Tribulation (contrary to what the scriptures teach), because they are more holy than the apostles and all others up to this end time, who have given their lives for the faith.
Rev 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
If all Christians are gone before the Great Tribulation starts, please consider this group of martyr’s who are beheaded for refusing to partake in this satanic deception? Do you really think it is possible with the greatest deception ever imagined on earth that this verse refers to a group of nonbelievers who suddenly turn to Christ? Think about it seriously now! The church is gone and God is not going to allow Satan to seduce those who are already seduced, who already serve him in this world. Judgment begins at the Assembly of God.
How can this occur if the Assembly of God is removed?
Matt 13:41-42 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
The kingdom that He speaks of is the one He establishes on earth. And the ones who are taken; well it is not to heaven that’s for sure.
Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
Few are ready or willing to really suffer for the sake of the Gospel. And without the understanding of the truth which is only available through the Spirit of Truth, great lies are accepted as facts.
Many who preached the True Word of God including Jesus and His prophets and apostles, who exposed those that were deceivers suffered greatly for the truth.
There is very little persecution in the false church today, as it is not a threat. It is self absorbed and self righteous.
This is also the reason that the world is not changed by this group for the better, as they have nothing to offer except enticing words based on their own wisdom, which are foolishness compared to the ones given to us by the God that spoke the world into existence.
Romans 5:3-5 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
It is only when we operate in the Truth through the Spirit that we can suffer loss and count it as gain. It is by the Spirit that we patiently wait for the hope of our Salvation through faith.
Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Every time that salvation, redemption or resurrection of the believer is mentioned it is always referred to in the future tense.
One of the problems with Christianity today is that most have no hope.
How can you hope for something you claim to already possess?
By accepting the false teaching of salvation by works, wherein we are saved now by what we say, as opposed to waiting for what He has promised to reward us with at the end of this age, we miss out on an incredible journey.
We gain access to His Grace and Mercy by Faith through His Spirit, with a blessed assurance; which is the hope of our Salvation.
Our redemption (or Salvation) from the flesh and our gathering together unto Him (at the Rapture), both occur at the same time. This is what motivates us, gives us a sure hope and allows us to produce works that are approved and acceptable through the operation of His mighty power.
Gal 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
1Thes 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
Those who speak of a return of Christ to take the church out before the great tribulation don’t look at this verse. Jesus brings those who sleep in him with him, and they receive resurrected bodies. Just as he is raised up these shall be raised up. Jesus does not bring them just to take them away again. The dead in Christ rise first, and those that are alive at His coming are caught up to meet Him; no where in scripture is it taught that we will reign in Heaven; but the elect do reign on earth with the Lord. (1Thes 4:15-17; Rev 5:10).
John 11 23-24 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
It is pretty clear from the above verse that the time when the dead in Christ rise is at the last day, not three and a half years before the last day. Yes you read it right, the great tribulation is not seven years, and there is no Anti- Christ covenant with Israel. This is revealed in a study called Daniel 9:27.
1Thes 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
The word caught up in the above passage, is where the misused word rapture (as far as timing is concerned) comes from. Upon Christ’s return after the Great Tribulation all true believers, who are counted as the Sons of God, will be caught up or gathered to be changed. We will be clothed in righteousness and reign with the King of Kings.
Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
The prophet Daniel also speaks of the dead in Christ that rise when He returns. This is after the Great Tribulation.
1 Cor 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
And what is the timing of this glorious event that we patiently wait for? It happens at the end of the Great Tribulation, at the last trumpet.
1Thes 5:9-10 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
“The Great Tribulation The Falling Away And The Wrath Of God”
No, that would be the great insanity of God, seeing as it’s all knowing, what ever happens would be IT’s deliberate plan, meaning we were set up to fail thousands of years before we are even born. So much for IT being all compassionate. You can’t have it both ways, IT is either all knowing, or IT isn’t,.. which is it?
Love cretin. LOVE. ALL loving.
I know when Jesus Christ returns you will also understand as you have no clue at this point.
Your understanding is built upon a foundation of quick sand placed in front of you by Satan and you sank out of sight just as he planned.
