The genesis of the mystery of the trinity- God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness”.

(Before It's News)

Does the incorrect insertion of words somehow allow us to understand the Trinity more fully? Three of the most incredible deceptive insertions of words are found in the very first book of the Old Testament (Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:6-7).

Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil…

The Lord God said, man is (as) one knowing good and evil. The words of us are added incorrectly in this verse (Gen 3:22). To claim God said man is become as one of us, is beyond ludicrous.

Isaiah 40:18 To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?

To say you understand the trinity and teach others of a God that is three persons, discredits and mocks God. The words God and persons do not belong in the same sentence.

  • There is none like unto God, because there is only one God (Deu 5:7, Isa 44:8, Mark 12:32, Rom 3:30).
  • There is only one God that saves (Isaiah 45:22, Mat 1:21).
  • There is only one God to which every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess (Isa 45:23, Rom 14:8-12).

Zech 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

To comprehend one Lord whose name is one, is to understand the Trinity for what it is.

Deut 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.

understand the trinity

Isaiah 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

Isaiah 2:19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

For the fear of Yahweh they will hide their faces from the wrath that is to come from the Lamb (Isa 13:13). This is not a description of two persons, but of one.

Rev 6:16-17 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, even from the wrath of the Lamb:  For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Do you still claim to understand the trinity? Explain to us then, how is it that both Yahweh and the Lamb bring the wrath upon mankind at the last day?

Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

And how is it that this same Lamb brings wrath, through a joint effort with Yahweh, and yet is also the deliverer of others from wrath by Himself.

We understand the Trinity for what it is. The doctrine  of the Father and the Son having distinct eternal characteristics, and being two unique persons is utter nonsense.

Isaiah 13:9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no savior.

If Yahweh is the only savior and He is not one and the same with Jesus Christ, Mathew is very much confused.

Matt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

The genesis of the mystery of the trinity may be as a result of the obvious mistranslation from a verse many are familiar with. God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness”.

When one removes the inserted words, let us and our, the verse takes on a completely different meaning.

One singular God spoke, not many Gods or persons.

The so-called mystery of the trinity does not add clarity to the nature of God, and it certainly diminishes the essence and Glory of Jesus.

John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

The first use of the word and (G 1161) in the above verse is used correctly, as it is a continuative. The second use of the word and (G2352) should be translated as even, also or indeed, as it is a connector. The words thou hast, need to be completely removed from this verse as well.

The correct interpretation of this verse is as follows.

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, even Jesus Christ, whom is sent forth.

The only True God is also known as Jesus Christ, the Word and our Messiah.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with (or unto) God, and the Word was God.

All things were made by Jesus who is the Word. In Christ alone is the Light unto Life, but those in darkness comprehend it not.

The following is typical of those that believe in the mystery of the trinity:
