The White Horse of Rev 6:2 Does Not Represent Antichrist, But a Message of Truth

(Before It's News)

Some Evangelicals believe the white horse in Revelation 6 respresents antichrist and comes before the red, black and pale horse at the beginning of end-times.

Baker Books publishes a book with some reasons why the white horse represents a message of truth. Here are six more:

  1. There is a historical application in which the white horse also represented the early gospel that went “conquering and to conquer,” Revelation 6:2.

  2. In God’s plan to allow judgments of sword, famine and pestilence (Ezekiel 6:11), these are represented by the red, black and pale horses respectively. We also see that they represent period of Roman persecution, followed by famine and pestilence in the Dark Ages when Bubonic Plague killed millions during the time when the antichrist power ruled Europe and was represented by the pale horse.

  3. It is the nature of God to send a message of truth before one is at risk, much like He warned Adam and Eve before Satan could tempt them. God gives His side power for 1260 days in Rev 11:3 and when they are finished, the beast ascends to make war (Rev 11:7) ”and power was given him to continue 42 months, Rev 13:5.

  4. White is a symbol of purity. The antichrist power is in scarlet with many other clues in Revelation 17.

  5. The crown on the rider is a victor’s crown, stephanos, not the crown of the antichrist power shown in Revelation 13:1 as a diadem. Revelation 1:11has a reference to Christ who is Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last. Because Christ is also the Word (John 1:1-3,14), the first place we find a word, it often has a meaning for the last use.

If we use the Rule of 1st Use, we see the first place that “crown” is found, it’s the crown of him who was separated from his brethren. It’s about Joseph and nazir is the Hebrew word for separated, like the Nazirites in Numbers 6

The point is that in end-times, we may honor the law of the Nazirites and rown that wreaths our head could be hair and a beard like Samson or Elijah (known as a hairy man).

  6. Again with the Rule of 1st Use, the bow of Revelation 6:2 is first found in Genesis 9 where it is a token of God’s promise. God’s messages come with a promise and there are no arrows mentioned in the text.

  7. A close reading of Rev 6:1-7 supports the 1st creature as the lion (see Rev 4:7) and it sounds like thunder when it roars, “The Lord will roar—the heavens and earth shall shake.” Joel 3:16 So it’s the Lion of Judah who “roars” and the earthquake says “come and see” a white horse, a message of truth for end-times.

This message of truth is the basis of a covenant we make with Christ for the end-times so that we can marry the Bridegroom, even as Israel did at Sinai, but God got an ignorant bride that worshiped a calf 40 days later. This must not happen to Christ, so the white horse represents a message of truth and seven seals for the seven days for a feast of betrothal, like Jacob made a covenant and was faithful for seven years before his marriage, and we must also be faithful.
