Were there two creations of man in Genesis, or does chapter one describe the sequence of his Creation, whereas chapter two gives us important details of that singular creation event?
This short article will prove that there were not two creations of man in Genesis; this false teaching is one of many adhered to by the deceived, at the hands of the deceivers.
Gen 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
The Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air from the ground, and Adam was to name them all (Gen 2:19).
Those who claim to believe that there were two creations of man in Genesis, do not believe in two separate creations of animals. The same principle for two creations of man in Genesis however, must also apply to the creation of the animals.
God created man, both male and female after He created the animals (Gen 1:27).
Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Rather than suggesting the possibility of two creations of man in Genesis, there is one creation event, with the details described afterwards.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
God completed his creation in six days. On the seventh day he rested, and there is no eighth day of creation expressed or implied.
