Why God created gay people? Will you go to HELL?

God did not create gay people, pedophiles, adulterers, fornicators, or adulterers. He created man and woman, and then said his creation was very good (Gen. ch. 1). He created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. Deal with it.

The wrong instincts people have are the result of original sin. Sin entered into the race because of our original parent’s fall. Original sin is like the herpes virus. It hides out in the body until conditions are right. Then there is an outbreak of a nasty cold sore. The same way, sin is in the background waiting for the right opportunity. When circumstances permit, it breaks out with a nasty episode of sin in action. We are all born sinners. Everyone stumbles and falls eventually, to one degree or another.

Some people believe that since God created the body, and since the body has strong instincts, then God must have created the instincts. Therefore acting on the instincts is justified, since God created the body. This logic is flawed. For example, sometimes a man will marry a wife with children from a previous marriage. Strong instincts come out in some of these men to molest sexually their nine year-old step-daughters in a situation like this. This is always wrong. God did not create pedophiles. (Lev. 18).

Some heterosexual people have strong instincts to commit adultery or fornication. Their actions are not excused because they have strong instincts. Some heterosexual people are addicted to viewing pornography. The Bible speaks against this sort of voyeurism. These people are not excused from the consequences of their actions because they are acting on instinct. Why should homosexuals, pedophiles, or those who commit bestiality be excused because they are acting on instinct?

The instinct to have sex is legitimate when channeled through lawful marriage. This is necessary to continue the race. The only sexual relations the Bible approves of are found in marriage between man and wife. All others are disapproved to one degree or another.

Homosexual relations are called abominable (Lev 18:22). This is a strong word that means “grossly repugnant” or “just plain wrong”. Sometimes these instincts are a part of a person’s nature. This doesn’t mean that God created the nature. This is the result of the Fall.

We are all products of nature, nurture, and choice. The life you live is the product and sum of these forces. You have to live with your nature. Nurture is the parenting you received. There is not much that can be done about nature or nurture other than to live with them and make the most of them.

Choice is what you make of your nature and nurture. We all have a choice to make and a role to play in life. A person’s choices are up to the individual. Humans are not unthinking insects, which can only act out their hard-wired genetic programming.

God holds people accountable for their choices. The Bible says this if it says anything. The standard of accountability is the high moral standard of the Word of God. God does not hold people accountable for having suffered bad parenting when young (nurture), nor does he hold them accountable for having wrong feelings and instinct erupt every now and then (nature). He does hold people accountable for the choices they make dealing with these situations.
