The Great Whore and the Wine of Her Fornication

The inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of Her Fornication. The idolatry that she produces is spiritually intoxicating to the point that her converts become drunk like. They are blind and deaf to the true gospel message. Their minds and consciences are seared, and they are full of self righteousness and false pride.

Rev 17:2… and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

In the follow-up article, the difference between the wine of the Great Whore unto fornication, will be compared with that of the wine of the Wrath of Mystery Babylon’s fornication.

Rev 19:2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

The Great Whore does indeed corrupt the earth with the fruit of her spiritual idolatry. Even the Christian faith has not been spared, as it too has been infiltrated with her intoxicating doctrines.

We will present a partial list of these horrible deceptions below. Christianity and judaism are two religions that share similar beliefs with regards to some of these deceptive doctrines:

(1)The jewish people are the chosen ones, and the gathering of these people to Israel is fulfillment of God’s promise to them.

Amazingly enough, many gullible religious christians buy into this lie. The fact is that those who glory in the cross of Christ are the Israel of God (Gal 6:14-16).

The gathering together of the Elect by the Lord, to a Holy Jerusalem will not happen until Christ returns (Isa 51:1-19).

(2) Salvation through works and deeds, is  shared belief. The fact is that Salvation nor the inheritance of the kingdom with Christ, are possible without the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Jer 23:1-6).

(3) The traditions of men, as opposed to the Word of God, are representative of the true doctrines and core beliefs of both of these religions. The fact is, that the traditions of man, and men’s wisdom are foolishness with God (1 Cor 3:19).

Within Christianity, the traditions of men have become the primarily teachings. Very few of the so-called teachers or leaders, have the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and are therefore unable to discern the truth in the Word of God. This is why this religion is so divided.

Within judaism, most claim to follow the Torah, which are the first five books of the Old Testament, the other books of the Bible are of little importance to them. They do not believe Jesus is the Son of God, and therefore believe in keeping the old law as a means to salvation, which is impossible.

Even Jeremiah speaks of the new law in Christ (Jer 31:31-33). The oral traditions of men written in the mishnah and talmud, and various other writings are of the highest priority to most who adhere to this religion.

These people honor the Lord with their lips but their hearts are far from him (Isa 29:13; Mark 7:6).

(4) The Old Testament law is adhered to by both of these religions. The fact is that the Old Testament Law died with Christ (Isa 59:21).

Christians are not obligated to keep the Sabbath, or tithe.

Within judaism, even the Torah is not adhered to. Whoever keeps the law yet offends by not keeping one point of the law,  is guilty of all that is written in the law (James 2:10).

Furthermore they have no temple, no sacrifice for sins, and no Messiah.

(5) Both of these religions have a man made hierarchy. The fact is that Christ condemns this practice, wherein men make themselves like unto masters, or little gods.

To the jews- But be not ye called Rabbi, for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren (Matt 23:8).

To the catholics- And call no man your father upon the earth, for one is your Father, which is in heaven (Matt 23:9).

To the Christians- You have one Shepherd, or pastor, namely Christ.

John 10:11-12 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep

Seventeen times in the New Testament the word shepherd is used. This word shepherd is always used in the singular, when referring to Christ.

There is only one verse in all of the New Testament where the word shepherd, is translated as pastors (Eph 4:11).

The problem with this translation is significant. This subtle yet deceptive change, wherein the word pastors is inserted in place of shepherd, creates a deadly precedence. This sets up albeit falsely, the justification for a hierarchy, allowing certain men to have authority over others. Christ is the Good Shepherd, the verse below should make it clear there is only one shepherd.

John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

The word and, is used five times in Ephesians 4:11. And <G2532> he gave <G1325> some <G3303>, apostles <G652>; and <G1161> some, prophets <G4396>; and <G1161> some, evangelists <G2099>; and <G1161> some, pastors <G4166> and <G2532> teachers <G1320>Eph 4:11

The second, third and fourth use of the word and, is used correctly, as a continuative.         A good translation for G1161, is the English word and.

The first and fifth use of the word and , is used incorrectly; in these two instances either the word indeed, or also, should be used instead of the word and.

The reason being, is that the Greek word, kai G2352 is a connector.

Also note that the word some, G3303, is actually only used once in this verse and the other three times it is added incorrectly.

Below we present a more accurate translation of this verse, to better grasp the intended meaning.

Indeed, God gave some to be apostles, and prophets, and evangelists, and a Shepherd who is also our teacher.

The other word to take notice of in Eph 4:11, is teacher.

Mainly it is translated as master, and is a title given to Christ.

This word is used 58 times in the New Testament. Only twice  is it used in reference to teachers in the church, and in both of these instances God sets the teachers, not man (1 Cor 12:28-29).

Two other times are where Paul is appointed a teacher, by God, unto the nations (1 Tim 2:7; 2 Tim 1:11).

Once is in reference to false teachers, and is one of the reasons this article is necessary.

2 Tim 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

And the last time this word is used it is translated as masters, and comes with an important warning.

James 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

If there was to be a hierarchy in the church apart from Christ, He would have mentioned it at least once, but He does not.

As well, anyone claiming to be a teacher ordained of God, would have to be Baptized by the Spirit of God. Otherwise what they taught would be guesswork at best, or pure unadulterated deception by design. Actually both are at play today.

The fact is that Christ is the head of His Church (Eph 4:15;  4:4-5). All men are equal, and no man has any spiritual authority over another.

Christ is the vine and we are the branch.

The body of Christ is one, or at least it should be, and has many members. However all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ (1 Cor 12:12; Rom 15:6; 1 Cor 8:5-6; Gal 3:28).

Those truly of and in Christ, with one mind and one Spirit are united together in faith (Phl 1:27).

Matt 20:25-28 Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;  And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:  Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Jesus makes it pretty clear there was to be no hierarchy. We are called to minister and serve each other, not serve ourselves.

Matt 23:6-7 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,  And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

We are not to follow after the traditions of other counterfeit religions.

Christ Himself, made himself of no reputation, and took upon himself the form of a servant(Phil 2:7).

How dare we, lift up and exalt mere mortal men, who are but sinners.

(6) Both of these religions are drunk with spiritual idolatry Of the Great Whore.

Some of these sins of idolatry are:

• Following false doctrines
• Self righteousness
• Seeking the praises of men
• Obsessed with reputations, or worldly achievements
• Placing any one or any thing above God
• Lovers of this world
• Idolizing religious leaders or their writings
• Assuming God is something He is not- Asking of Him wrongly
• Storing up treasures on earth
• Teaching false doctrines
• Calling men father, rabbi or shepherd/pastor

Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

The lusts of the flesh, including idolatry in regards to our treasures on earth invite the wrath of God.

Yet worse than this, both of these religions have doctrines of devils, and yet claim to be free from idolatry.

The Lord will judge them for this (Eph 2:3; John 3:36; Rom 1:18; Rom 2:5-9).

Jesus declared that the scribes and Pharisees, not only would not enter the kingdom themselves, but all that followed their wicked doctrines would be dammed as well.

This same spiritual phenomenon still exists today. People still accept these seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.

They nor their teachers will enter the kingdom, as it is impossible to do so without the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

The Pre-Tribulation Rapture, allows for the theory of the 144,000 that are Sealed to enable present day Israel to come to Christ, even though all Believers are the Israel of God.

And the nonsensical notion that the Old Testament Law is still in effect, leads to the outrageous fable, declaring that Israel after the flesh, has a unique and separate destiny apart from the body of Christ.

Also there is a story book tale, regarding another temple that will be built in Jerusalem, even though the Word clearly states that the Holy City, is without a temple during the entire  tribulation period (Rev11:2-8).

It is the elect that are the temple of Christ, and He now resides in us (1 Cor 3:16-17; 6:19; 2 Cor 6:16; Rev 21:22).

Then we have a seven year covenant that is to be made between Israel and the Anti-Christ, even though scripture clearly teaches us that the Great Tribulation is three and a half years in duration, and the covenant is between Christ and His people.

It is also taught that the ones left behind are Israel after the flesh, or those who claim to be of the tribe of Judah, and it is the Christians who are taken to Heaven.

But Christ clearly taught, that as it was in the days of Noah, so would it be when He returns.

The ones taken were destroyed, and the ones left behind were saved. As well when Christ does return, those that are worthy will be caught up, or raptured to be changed and reign with Him on earth (Luke 17:20-37; Rev 5:10).

Jerusalem the city of confusion, judaism, zionism and all that the Great Whore represents will be burnt up by a jealous God.

Part of this judgment, is at the hands of the ten kings that serve Satan. These will hate the great whore.

The judgment must begin at the house of God, which is the Church of Christ. If this judgment begins with those who claim to be Christians, what shall the end be of them that do not even pretend to obey the gospel of Christ?

Many who claim to adhere to Christianity but practice deceptive doctrines, do not have the spirit of Christ, and will also fall prey to the stronger deceptive force during the Great Tribulation (1 Peter 4:17; 2 Thes 2:9-12).

There will come a falling away from the faith before Christ returns, and if it were possible even the very elect would be deceived during the reign of the Beast (2 Thes 2:3; Math 24:24).

Romans 4:14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

We are dead to the old law in Christ, so attempting to partake in something that is forbidden is disobedience. Not only is the practice of the works of the old law forbidden, they of the old law are not partakers of the promise of Christ.

Col 3:5-6 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

Idolatry through covetousness, as well as disobedience to Christ and His Gospel, is practiced by all that attempt to keep the old law (Gal 5:4).
