The sealed in Christ are left behind, the examples of Noah and Lot, prove that the ungodly are in fact the ones taken to be destroyed.
Luke 17:33-34 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
Christianity to many in the end of days, is simply a reflection of the commandments and doctrines of man. Christ clearly taught that His chosen would be left behind, and the ungodly would be cast into hell.
As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at Christ’s second coming. The flood came, and destroyed them all, except for those who were left behind.
Matt 24:39-40 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left behind.
When Christ returns a second time, one shall be taken and the other shall be left behind. One rather large group is taken to Hell, to await the final judgment when death and hell are thrown into the lake of fire. Those who are left behind reign with Christ on earth for a thousand years.
The many multitudes of false teachers proclaim the exact opposite of what Jesus taught. They also falsely declare that we can be saved, even before Christ returns with our Salvation
1 Peter 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
But he that shall endure unto the end, will be saved, and these are the ones who also are left behind (Mark 13:13
Luke 8:18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.
Whosoever has the Spirit of Christ dwelling within, is left behind to inherit everlasting life.
However if any man does not have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his, and is taken away (Rom 8:9).
2 Tim 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Paul states that he also will receive the crown of righteousness at the same time as all those that love Christ’s appearing receive theirs. Christ’s second advent to the earth, also fulfills the prophecy “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done On earth as it is in Heaven”. The unbiblical notion of a reward of eternal life, and guaranteed deliverance from the great tribulation, represents a pre-tribulation rapture fairy tale. The apostle Paul, and all who are left behind, must wait until the end of the great tribulation for their reward.
2 Tim 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
Christ will judge all at His appearing and earthly kingdom. A pre tribulation rapture, would allow for an escape clause from this judgment which is impossible.
Isaiah 11:4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
Christ will rule the nations with a rod of iron, and the ungodly will see the wrath of the Almighty God (Rev 19:15).
Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Rev 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
All of Christ’s true servants are rewarded at the end of the great tribulation period. This group includes those who are left behind, as well as the Prophets and Saints.
The reward for all who are declared to be righteous in Christ Jesus is salvation. This reward for faithfully enduring, occurs when Christ returns to reign as King of Kings (Isa 62:11; Col 3:24; Rev 22:12).
2 Thess 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels
Christ is revealed from on high, and He brings His angels with Him. If there was to be a gathering (or rapture) and those gathered were taken to Heaven there would be no need for Christ to bring His angels along for the ride.
2 Thess 1:10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe…
Christ returns to earth to be adorned with glory by those who are left behind. But this is also a time of flaming fire, as He takes vengeance on them that do not know Him or obey His gospel.
2 Thess 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
Christ will return in order to gather the left behind. The verse above does not represent two separate events, as the false teachers would have you believe.
The word and used in this verse should be changed to also or even, as it is a connector. The coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, (is) also our gathering together unto him.
2 Thess 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
The day of Christ spoken of here, is His return to gather those who are left behind. This represents one singular event that occurs during a single day.
2 Thess 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Christ’s return to reward His true followers that are left behind, will not occur until after the anti-Christ is revealed who causes a great falling away (Luke 8:12).
2 Thess 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming
Upon Christ’s return both the Beast and False prophet are delivered into the Lake of Fire (Rev 19:20).
Christ taught us that one shall be taken and the other shall be left behind. As it was in the days of Noah and Lot, so shall it be when the Jesus Christ returns. The ones taken are to be destroyed. The prize for those who are sealed in Christ, is to be left behind, and inherit incorruption and immortality at Christ’s Second Coming.
Matt 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened…
Christ will send forth His angel with a great sound of a trumpet, then He will gather together His elect (Math 24:31). The left behind, who are in Christ will also be gathered at this time.
Christ left no room for error, after the tribulation He will gather together all of the elect. The reason He gathers the Elect including the Angels in Heaven, is that they too will reign on earth with Him.
At the end of the world is a great harvest. The devil is the enemy that has planted the tares, and the reapers that gather the tares are the angels that follow Christ from on high (Math 13:39-41).
The good seed are the ones who are left behind.
Once the Earth is harvested of God’s people and raptured out the remainder will be crushed on the Earth by Satan and Satan’s angels.
Noah was taken out of the way and then the destruction came to the Earth.
Lot was taken out of the way and then the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah occurred.
Feel free to remain behind and receive the punishment of the God Haters by biggest God Hater of them all Satan.
Revelation 14:14-20New International Version (NIV)
Harvesting the Earth and Trampling the Winepress
14 I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man[a] with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15 Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, “Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” 16 So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.
17 Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. 18 Still another angel, who had charge of the fire, came from the altar and called in a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, “Take your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the earth’s vine, because its grapes are ripe.” 19 The angel swung his sickle on the earth, gathered its grapes and threw them into the great winepress of God’s wrath. 20 They were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses’ bridles for a distance of 1,600 stadia.[b]
If you interpret the one like a son of man and the temple angels as Satan and his minions you might want to turn your Bible up the other way.
And Noah wasn’t “taken” rather he was told to build a boat plus Lot wasn’t “taken” but was told to leave the city. You mean taken as in raptured and that, Martus, would be a miraculous, instantaneous and altogether mysterious disappearing act which is nothing like the examples that are given.
Why do you pre-tribbers ignore the plainly worded passages in favour of the sort of nonsense that requires reading into scripture? Is it because you think you’re too special to have to endure? Are you without sin that you imagine your salvation is assured? Exactly how many second comings are there?
Agreed. We must be like Job, and endure with our belief, even when everything else in this world is taken from us. There is no greater test. Nobody will be so special that they will be able to escape the Time of Jabob’s Trouble. If you can’t stay faithful through being tested, you are not faithful. There isn’t a magic button, aside from Belief and true repentance. True Belief should be able to endure any hardship.
…Mayhem…and you don’t harvest grapes with a sickle…
…Clucker…The book of Jude…OH yeah.
…In book of Jude the hammer is put to Hebrews, letting us know that those fallen angels will come back, the ones that tried to destroy the Adamic blood line that our Lord Jesus Christ came through, and they will be trying to attack our generation in the same manner and fashion as they did in Noah’s day, as described in Genesis 6.
…The generation of the fig tree, set aside of all generations since Adam, that we should be warned of those things that we see starting to happen, that our generation would see. We are the watchmen on the wall. Watching the good and bad figs, set out as ‘shoots’, in Jerusalem in 1948…watching them mature…come of age…bearing fruit… in these end times.
…Shout from the rooftops.
Well, crime in Italy! You do know that you are teaching Catholic doctrine, right? Look up Catechism Part 1, Sec. Ii, Chap. II, Article 7…..http://www.vatican.va/archive/ccc_css/archive/catechism/p1s2c2a7.htm
The futurist view of Revelation was codified in Catholic teaching in the late 16th century by two Jesuit priests (Ribera and Bellarmine) as a refutation to the charge of the Protestant Reformation that the POPE was the Anti-Christ of Revelation. Martin Luther believed, incorrectly, that the Catholic Church was the subject “beast” of Revelation. The POPE is certainly an Anti-Christ, just as is anyone who denies Christ, but he is not THE Anti-Christ of Revelation.
The futurist “second” coming teaching has infiltrated all of the Protestant churches because of the errors of both Martin Luther and the Catholic Church. Present tense verbs in the NT were present tense actions for those to whom they were addressed… the early Christians of the first century A.D. You cannot make everything apply to you!
Much of the NT concerned the fulfillment of the OT prophesies that were meant for that generation… the chosen generation in which Christ appeared and was manifested on earth, and to whom was promised a “second” appearance of Him. No other generation since that first century generation has had even ONE appearance of Him, so no other generation could receive a promise of a second appearance. They were the ones who knew He was coming back to them! (1Pet 2:9)
The law and the prophets were until John. Matt. 11:13. That time text pinpointed their generation as the chosen generation.. chosen by God… for the fulfillment of the prophesies for His coming. That meant both times, both comings: the first for his 3-1/2 year ministry when He would be cut off at His death on the cross; followed by a 40 year testing and transition period between the last days of the old covenant and the beginning of the new covenant; followed by the judgment against all those who had rejected Him, and persecuted His church at their destruction in A.D. 70. (The last 3-1/2 year of the 70th week of Dan 9:24.)
Revelation is recorded for our edification, just as are the books of the Old and New Testaments, the Old and New Covenants. The first century AD brought in the New Covenant with power and glory, and He reigns now at the right of the Father. He judges now, each and every day. He comes in judgement when and as He needs to, from his seat in Heaven. And, all those who die each and every hour stand before Him for their judgment.
He established the process for the forgiveness of sins, which is the same process which Peter and the Apostles stated on the day of Pentecost. Acts 2:38, “..repent and be baptized for the remission of sins…” That is the only way to be covered by Christ, to put Him on, to be clothed with His righteousness. Gal. 3:27-29. If you have done that, then you have done what is required of God to be acceptable to Him, and then judgment passes over you and you are able to go home to heaven. That is where He wants all of us to be.. with Him in Heaven. Not here on earth!
We are not waiting on Him to do anything else. He is waiting on us to answer His call. Come Home! Heb 3:1, 10:34, 11:16; 1 Pet 1:4, and many others.
