The Identity Of The Great Whore Is Revealed

Understand that the Lord Jesus Christ will judge those who would not accept Him as Lord and God.

Acs 28:23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

Those who truly knew the teachings of the Old Testament, were also aware that they spoke clearly of the Savior to come called Jesus the Christ.

Gal 3:21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

The Old Testament law clearly spoke of the promises of God through Jesus.

John 5:45-47 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

The unbelievers will also be judged at the second death through the Law of Moses. For if they truly believed the words of Moses they would have also believed in Christ; Moses, the Old Testament law and the prophets all spoke of Christ

Rom 8:2 For the (NEW) law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the (OLD) law of sin and death. (Emphasis added)

The old law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith in Him (Gal 3:24).

The Old Testament Law which is obsolete, has been replaced by the New Testament Covenant. As a result of the death and resurrection of Christ, true Spirit filled believers understand that they are not under the Old Testament Law. This article will help the reader to understand the new Law of Christ.

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

The Old Testament law is fulfilled as they come to pass in the New Testament revelations.

Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day [that] I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

The Old Testament Law of Moses, written on tablets of stone, was given unto Israel after the flesh. These people continuously rejected God the Father and served many strange gods, only a remnant sought Jehovah through faith.

Jer 31:33 But this [shall be] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Lean Not on Your own wisdomThe second covenant was the Law of Christ written in the hearts of men, Israel after the Spirit.
This passage refers to the whole house of Israel. All of mankind can now believe in Christ and serve Him in newness of Spirit through faith, hope and love. Everyone that trusts in the cross of Christ is counted as the Israel of God.

Isa 51:7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart [is] my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of them.

Isaiah prophesized of the future true followers of God.The Old Testament Law is not for the people that would come to know the new law of Christ.  Following the New Testament law of Jesus instead of the Old Testament Law of men, would enable them to one day receive redemption at the second coming.

Isaiah 51:11Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

This is the second gathering of the true Israel, the church that Christ bought; it also is a future prophecy unto the return of Jesus as King of Kings. Modern day Israel is a man made gathering of a people that for the most part despise Jesus. The second gathering of God’s Israel is a spiritual event dealing with a redeemed people. The word redeemed refers to our salvation when we are transformed at Christ’s second coming.

Old Testament Law Is Replaced By The New Testament

The New Testament Law Is Given Unto The Israel of God

Gal 6:15-16 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

Some professing Christians consider Israel becoming a nation in 1948 as the God ordained second gathering. They also believe the inhabitants of this nation are the chosen ones; both of these fallacies are as far from the truth as good is from evil.

John 1:11-12 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

To even consider that God would be a part of gathering a people that have the same belief system as those that rejected and killed His son is ludicrous. They were exiled because of their unbelief, and God calls His servants by another name. These understand that they are not underThe Old Testament Law  (Isa 65:1-25).

Matt 23:37  O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee…Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

The lineage from Abraham to Christ is one of a genealogy of a group that were very much like each other; they all had the same pursuits, character and blessings in Christ.

Gal 3:28-29 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Mathew speaks of all the generations that start with Abraham, continue through David and end with Christ. All carries with it the meaning of all of a type, which in this case is the faithful believer. The blessings of Abraham come on all that have faith through Christ; the promises however were made to Abraham and his seed, which is Christ (Gal 3:14-16).

All who are in Christ are promised the inheritance of eternal life with Him, at His second coming, and all of these are counted as Abraham’s seed. To make a claim that you are of the tribe of Judah without being in Christ, and yet still have a special privilege is utter nonsense. To claim that you are under the Old Testament Law, when a new law is in effect is nonsensical.

Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness [come] by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Righteousness comes through Christ’s victory over sin at the cross, to make the claim of righteousness through the Old Testament Law is sin and deceit.

As we are told in Galatians, we receive Christ’s Spirit by the hearing of the Word with faith.

Eph 6:16-17 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

The Old Testament Law Can’t be Mixed with the New Covenant of Christ

Mark 2:21-22 No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse. And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.

Old Testament LawIt is impossible to mix the New Testament Covenant that has the saving blood of Christ, with the Old Testament Law that did not, they simply do not agree with each other. Putting new wine into an old bottle will cause both to perish, because the old bottle is not designed for the new. Under the Old Testament Law there was a temple that God’s Spirit dwelled in, under the new law of Christ we are the temple that he dwells in (1 Cor 3:16-17; 1 Cor 6:19).

Many claim to be partially under the Old Testament Law and therefore do not fully accept the new law of Christ; this is quite unfortunate.

The new law of Christ is not only better, it also happens to be the only choice available, as the old has passed away. Any man in Christ is a new creation and all things have become new; this new bottle refers to the vessel unto honor that we purge from iniquity as is required for the Holy Spirit to reside in; old things or events of the past such as the Old Testament Law are passed away (2 Cor 5:17; 2 Tim 2:21).

John 2:10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now

Jesus Christ has brought forth the good or new wine which is the new covenant last; the first wine which was the old covenant was not nearly as good. Also the Old Testament Law was fulfilled or completed in him on the Cross, and has vanished.

Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Gal 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

The Old Testament Law given unto the Hebrews, with the commandments and ordinances. These were to be received by faith; to attempt to keep these works or letters of the law without faith in God was unprofitable and dead. Likewise Christ came and gave the new law. Without the hearing of faith, the spirit that He sent would not be received; it is the infilling of the spirit of Christ that allows us to understand His word. To operate in the flesh with self-righteousness is also unto dead works.

Isaiah 30:1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:

The correct interpretation for the word covering is graven image. Isaiah tells the story of a people that God had called who rejected Him by following the counsel of wicked men. They replaced His Spirit and covering for their sin with abominable idols unto Baal covered with gold.

Gal 3:6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

Gal 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

All who share in the faith of Abraham now are of one family. This faith was not in the letter of the law, but in the one who gave the Old Testament Law; all who serve God in faith are counted as children of Abraham.

Heb 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

The Old Testament law was a covenant between Jehovah and the Hebrews; this law had Ten Commandments written on tablets of stone. The New Testament is the covenant between Jesus and all who call upon His name; this law is the Spirit of Christ unto life. Christ’s law has only Two Commandments that are written on men’s hearts and in their minds (Heb 10:16; Math 22:37-39).

Eph 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

Christ, on the cross abolished the Old Testament Law of commandments and  ordinances; as a result he made it possible for all to be of the commonwealth of Israel.

Romans 8:2-4 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Those that live for the flesh care for the things of the flesh; it is this carnal nature that leads to death as it is a separation from God. When we live in the Spirit, the righteousness of the law of liberty in Christ may be fulfilled.
Those that stand in the liberty of the new law of Christ are never to entangle themselves with the Old Testament law of bondage (Gal 5:1).

Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

We are not justified by the works of Old Testament Law, or the ordinances, rules and offerings. We can only be saved through faith by the working of Christ’s grace.

Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

Under Old Testament Law,  if you offend in one point you are guilty of all. Galatians chapter four explains the bondage of the first covenant and the freedom in the second.

Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, [it is] evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

After Christ, it is clear that no one can be declared righteous through Old Testament Law; as well no man can keep the old law. The keeping of the Sabbath is not a commandment that is still in effect. This doctrine of men is taught to and followed by countless people today.

Christ never told us to keep the Sabbath. The keeping of even one day holy unto the Lord was contrary to man’s nature, and thus the reason for the Old Testament Law.

Living in Christ enables the Spirit filled believer to regard every day as holy.

The Old Testament Law Can’t be Mixed with the New Covenant of Christ

Christ hath redeemed us from the Old Testament Law

Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree:

Gal 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Old Testament LawIt is through Christ alone that the promise of inheritance given to Abraham and his seed could be realized.  Abraham is the father of all who have this common faith in and blessing from Christ.

Gal 3:19 Wherefore then the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; [and it was] ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

Why then was the law given? It was because of sin, and it would only be in force until Christ came and nailed it to the cross (Col 2:14). Jesus slew sin on the cross. And when he did so, the Old Testament Law was no longer in play.

Gal 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

Why would anyone want to go back to this condition, kept under the bondage of the Old Testament Law, as opposed to enjoying freedom in Christ through faith?

Gal 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster [to bring us] unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Gal 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

We cannot be under the justification of the Old Testament Law, as it has been terminated. Our justification now is in the faith of Christ; it is not the works of the law which no one can keep, and after Christ no one could keep.
The Old Testament Law instructed men that justification would come through Christ; some received this through faith in Him.
The law and the prophets were until John the Baptist. Those things that were written in the Law of Moses and in the prophets were fulfilled in Christ; Jesus brought to an end the Old Testament Law as He was the completion of it.

Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

No where in scripture does God promise any rewards to those who claim to be Jewish and practice Judaism, this excludes Him from having any part in establishing a nation for them. In stark contrast there are many verses condemning this particular religion, and all man made religions, and there are terrible judgments yet to take place in Jerusalem. To those who claimed to be Jews but where of the synagogue of Satan, Jesus informed them that their house would become desolate.

He told the parable of the vineyard to the false teachers that would help plan His murder.

Matt 21:38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.

Jesus also told these chief priests of the punishment for their wicked actions.

Matt 21:40-41 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.

Below are a few descriptions of the judgments yet to come on Jerusalem.

Zech 14:1-2 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Jer 9:10-11 For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.11 And I will make Jerusalem heaps, and a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant.

Christians to whom the gospel message was given and received, must produce fruits or likewise be punished.

They are not all the Israel of God just because they happen to reside in a place called Israel. The true Spiritual Israel is the whole family of God that calls upon Jesus.

Luke 1:68 Blessed [be] the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

Obviously this refers to all believers in Christ, as he did not only come to set free those that were in Israel but indeed all of mankind.

Rom 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they [are] not all Israel, which are of Israel:
