The right hand of God a symbol of Power

The right hand of God is in reference to the glorious power of the creator of Heaven and earth. Our saving grace by means of Christ’s mighty and miraculous works, as well as His righteous wrath on the ungodly are attributes of the right hand of God.

Ex 15:6 Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.

The right hand of God is a metaphor describing the incredible and majestic power of God.

Psa 48:10 According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

The right hand of God is symbolic of the righteousness of the Lord that strengthens us, and holds us up (Isa 41:10).

Isa 48:13 Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.

The right hand of God is a figure of speech from the Creator who spoke the world into existence (Gen 1:3-27).

Yahshua, our Messiah said “you shall see the Son of man sitting gloriously as the right hand of power”. The right hand of God will also come again in the clouds of heaven (Mark 14:61-62).

Mark 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

The words sat on, in the verse above are translated incorrectly. In cannot be said, that our Lord sat on the right hand of God; this is to suggest that we are talking about two separate Gods.

Isa 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

When Isaiah says prepare the way of the Lord (Yahweh), a highway for God (Elohim), he is not speaking of two God’s.

Mat 3:3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

John in the desert is speaking of this same Lord that Isaiah is referring to.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord who is God (Rom 6:23).

John 10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

God hath raised Himself from the dead; this is a miracle that no man could perform. Jesus is not a man in the sense that we think of men.

John 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

Christ had no beginning and will have no end. He is the image of the invisible and eternal Creator, the right hand of God.

Rom 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

All shall stand before the judgment seat of Christ. The right hand of God has declared it (Romans 14:10).

Isa 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return. That unto me every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess (Isa 45:23).

I Cor 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

The rulers at the first advent of Christ did not know Him, because of the hardness of their hearts. If they had known Him, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory (1 Cor 2:8, Mark 3:5).

John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Christ did not say that He would come again and receive us unto Himself and his Father. He did say however “I and the Father are one (John 10:30).

 

Acts 2:33 Therefore being the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

 

Acts 7:55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, even Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

When Bible translators attempt to make the right hand of God literal, they are claiming that Christ Jesus is separate from God.

Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

To reflect on the true meaning and implications of the verse above, it is imperative to compare it with the entire Word of God. Only then will it become evident that the right hand of God is a descriptive metaphor of the power of god.

The enemy has tampered with the truth in all modern day Bibles, and especially through the watered down new age Bible versions. Below is one of them, where Christ simply has a place of honor next to God.

Col 3:1 (NLT) Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at the right hand of God.

To say, “since you have been raised”, assumes that this has already occurred.

But, the phrase “If you then are raised up with Christ” would be the end result of achieving this goal.

We are offered a new life in Christ. But we must submit to his lordship and truly follow Him, not just in word but in deed (Col 3:17, 1 John 3:18).

When we die to this world and the lusts thereof, we can have newness of life in Christ Jesus (Col 3:3).

If we are risen with Christ, then we are Born Again, or Baptized with the Holy Spirit. When we fully embrace this new life we can be taught the truth by or through God Himself.

1 Cor 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Christ does not sit in a place of honor, at God’s right hand. He is the right hand of God. He alone has the power to save and to condemn.

Christ <G5547> himself <G2076> dwells <G2521> as <G1722> the right hand (or power) <G1188> of God <G2316>. Col 3:1 (KJV)

We are to set our affections on the things above, not on the things of the earth. There is a huge difference between thinking about the things of Heaven, and setting our affection on things above. The words high, and mind, in the following verses have the same meaning as those things which are above.

Phl 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
