Why are Christians afraid of this Prophecy?

(Before It's News)

The Parable of the Vineyard is in reference to Christ desiring the people to bring forth fruits worthy of repentance, over the course of three long years. The false house of Judah rejected Jesus, who then declared, “behold your house is left unto you desolate”.

Mark 12:6 Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.

The Parable of the Vineyard was Christ’s prophecy concerning his own betrayal and death, as well as those who would represent His true church (Mark 12:8-9).

The Parable of the Vineyard was a Prophetic Warning to a reprobate religious group

 The Parable of the Vineyard

The parable of the vineyard is indeed directed towards the chief priests, and the elders of the people of Judea.

God sent his servants or prophets to an ungodly people and they killed these men of God (Mat 23:29-34). Jesus Christ came after the prophets, and they killed him as well.

The parable of the vineyard describes a wicked people involved in a premeditated murder. They said, “come, let us kill the heir, and the inheritance shall be ours” (Mark 12:7).

The Judeans for the most part rejected Jesus, and in doing so he also rejected them. He then set about to give the promise to others.

Isaiah 65:2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts

The Parable of the Vineyard describes a people that had become self-righteous in all of their ways. They claimed to be holier than those who they encountered, but were in fact full of iniquity (Isa 65:5-7, Isa 1:4).

Isaiah 65:12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

The Parable of the Vineyard warning, is also for the deceived religious people of today.

How many within Christianity are self absorbed and pious, all the while being blind to the true gospel message of Christ.

Isaiah 65:14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.

You will be hard pressed to find a modern biblical commentary describing the true message contained in the Parable of the Vineyard today.

Isaiah 65:9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.

The elect refers to the believer in Christ Jesus as seen in the verse below. Also this prophecy is most definitely a future event (Isa 65:25).

1 Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Jesus would also call his servants by another name; the name Christian refers to a follower of Christ (Acts 11:26, 1 Peter 2:21).

Isaiah 65:15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:

Interestingly enough the Parable of the Vineyard was understood by those of the synagogue of satan, who conspired to kill the Messiah (Rev 2:9, Acts 3:13-15).

 The Parable of the Vineyard

John 2:10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now

Jesus Christ has brought forth the good or new wine last. The New Testament covenant, is a metaphor of the good wine, which is brought forth last. The first was imperfect and was not nearly as good as the new (Jer 31:31, Heb 8:8, 13). Also everything contained in the Law and the prophets concerning Christ, was fulfilled or completed by Him, on the Cross. The old has indeed vanished, as it has been replaced with the new.

Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

The Old Testament reveals Christ our Savior who is able to cleanse us from all of our sins.

Luke 22:17-18 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.

Luke 22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

This is the emphasis of the entire New Testament, and the fulfillment of the Old.

Luke 5:36 No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.

The Parable of the Vineyard is also in reference to the few that are chosen

In Mathew chapter twenty, the Parable of the Vineyard is spoken against a group to whom the gospel was first given (Mat 20:10-12). The master would reward the true laborers equally no matter if they were called first or last. Those who were self-righteous thought they had no equals simply because they were called first. The true rewards are given only to the worthy who are called and also chosen (Mat 20:16, Mat 22:8, 14, 1 Peter 2:4-10).

The Parable of the Vineyard in Luke chapter thirteen describes those same self-righteous sinner’s who would not repent and bear fruit (Luke 13:6-9, Mark 11:13-21).

Luke 13:7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none…

The Parable of the Vineyard here is in reference to Christ desiring the people to bring forth fruits worthy of repentance, over the course of three long years. And yet they remained unfruitful, unto their destruction (Luke 3:8-9, John 15:1-8).

Matt 21:41They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out hisvineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons

It is impossible to mix the new wine or New Testament Covenant, which has the saving blood of Christ, with the Old Testament Covenant that did not.

Putting new wine into an old bottle will cause the bottle to perish, because it will not fully accept it. The complete acceptance of the new testimony of Jesus is essential for the believer to become this vessel.

Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Putting the new law of Christ into an old vessel or body wherein a person claims righteousness in the law, causes the grace of Jesus to be inoperative.

No one who is under the old law immediately wants the new, because he believes the old is better.

Any man in Christ is a new creation, in other words a temple that is made for him, or set apart unto him, so that he can dwell in it. This is the new bottle or vessel required for the Holy Spirit to reside in, whereby we are justified freely by his grace alone, through his shed blood.

James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

As new creations in Christ we are to operate with his spirit in faith unto good works.

Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Those who are in Christ, have the seal of God, are set apart and have received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (2 Tim 2:19).

1 Cor 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
