The Conservative Tribune reports, President Barack Obama and his administration sat idly by on Friday while the United Nations Security Council essentially slapped Jews and Christians in the face. Just before Hanukkah and Christmas the Security Council passed Resolution 2334, declaring Israeli rule illegal in East Jerusalem, home to an assortment of holy sites, and other Israeli territories. Presumably the Resolution grants control of the areas to Palestinians by default, 80% of whom are Muslim.

Here Are the 3 Christian Holy Sites Obama Helped Give to Muslims Over Christmas Weekend
President Barack Obama and his administration sat idly by on Friday while the United Nations Security Council essentially slapped Jews and Christians in the face. Just before Hanukkah and Christmas the Security Council passed Resolution 2334, declaring Israeli rule illegal in East Jerusalem, home to an assortment of holy sites, and other Israeli territories. Presumably the Resolution grants control of the areas to Palestinians by default, 80% of whom are Muslim.

“Reaffirms that the establishment by Israel of settlements in the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, has no legal validity and constitutes a flagrant violation under international law and a major obstacle to the achievement of the two-State solution and a just, lasting and comprehensive peace…” (CT’s emphasis added, H/T Wikipedia copy of U.N. At issue is the fact that the resolution essentially declared all Jewish settlements in the West Bank “illegal,” including in parts of East Jerusalem, particularly the “Old City” which contains a number of sites held sacred by Christians and Jews.
Of those sacred holy sites located in East Jerusalem, three of them are held in special regard by Christians — the Temple Mount, the Western Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
The Temple Mount is regarded as the remaining foundation of the Second Temple of ancient Israel, which was destroyed by the Romans. The Western Wall is also a remnant of the old temple that is held sacred by Christians and Jews alike. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is believed to mark the spot where Jesus Christ was ultimately crucified and buried before being resurrected after three days.
We believe it is reasonable to presume that those sites will now legally (at least according to the Security Council’s resolution) be controlled by the Palestinians National Authority, which has a record of enforcing Shariah law and torture (Jerusalem Post).
This U.N. Security Council resolution labeling the Jewish presence in the West Bank and East Jerusalem as “illegal” and an “occupation” followed close on the heels of an earlier anti-Israel resolution produced in October by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, an agency tasked with protecting world heritage and historical sites, that essentially wrote off any non-Islamic claims to holy sites in East Jerusalem or the West Bank, according to the BBC.
That resolution attempted to erase centuries of Judeo-Christian heritage in what is widely considered to be the birthplace of two of the world’s major monotheistic religions.
Obama’s inaction, perhaps even subtle, behind-the-scenes encouragement regarding this U.N. resolution, is also just the latest example of his appearing to favor Palestinian Muslims over Israeli Jews, as well as Christianity and Judaism as a whole.
Hopefully when President-elect Donald Trump assumes office, he will instruct his new Ambassador to the U.N., Nikki Haley, to do everything possible to reverse this absurd resolution and send the world a message that Israel’s borders are NOT subject to negotiation.
