The Conservative Tribune reports, United States Secretary of Defense Gen. James Mattis was once introduced at his Senate confirmation hearings as “a humble man with very little to be humble about,” according to The Associated Press. Apparently life at the top has not changed him.
James Norman “Jim” Mattis (born September 8, 1950) is the 26th and current United States Secretary of Defense, serving in the Trump administration, and a retired United States Marine Corps general.

Although not much for “Sensationalism” I must admit this story is a bit refreshing in that in this world people in prominent positions expect to be waited on hand-and-foot, it is good to see a leader with a servant heart, even if that servant heart is serving to himself.
Thank Gary, a “good” story, even if it would never garner a Pulitzer.
A carry on bag is not at all uncommon, even on commercial flights. I suspect if Secretary Matits farted they’d accuse him of biological warfare. Give this highly experienced, rock solid old geezer a break. United States Secretary of Defense Gen. James Mattis is the Trump Administrations cohesive interconnection with the honorable men and women in our military. Without him rouge elements in the CIA and military would have a far better chance of joining the globalists undermining our constitutional republic.
Look, all this is a lot to do about nothing. Fact is our bodies wear out with age. Old folks often have physical and medical needs that sadly require lugging around a bunch of crap that our elderly population all prefer not to be so reliant on. Getting old can be a frustrating, even a painful process, it isn’t for sissies. I can’t believe the depths people will descend to in their effort to discredit Trump and his entire cabinet.
Any controversy stemming from this absolutely ridiculous accusatorial tripe demonstrates a whole new level of desperation. The progressives are truly groping for anything that may stir up suspicion, distrust and hate. If their cause was honorable they would not need to lie, cheat and manipulate public perception to sell their bill of goods.

The normal military procedure is for him to have at least one,or more assistants that would carry his gear,take notes, set meetings etc. plus act as a buffer as needed. The fact that he is carrying his own bags,and that they look as old and battered as they do,is unheard of in almost every previous administration.It is an interesting take. Usually those that seek no special perks ,tend to not allow anything extra beyond what is needed at the best price,and best quality.
He simply wants to be in constant control of the content of luggage during the flight, nothing strange about it.
