(Before It's News)

SPRINGFIELD, Virginia- Today, Campaign for Liberty President John Tate thanked Congressman Thomas Massie (R-KY) for leading the fight against the assault on small businesses, entrepreneurs, and state sovereignty in the so-called “Marketplace Fairness Act.” Congressman Massie has penned a letter urging House leadership not to take up the legislation, which passed the Senate last month.

“It is good to see Congressman Massie leading the efforts in Congress to defeat the job-destroying Internet Tax Mandate,” said Tate. “This legislation would hamper growth in the fastest-growing and most dynamic sector of our economy at a time when millions of Americans are out of work.

“Rather than placing more burdens on small businesses, politicians should be looking to reduce taxes and regulations on all businesses so we can get our economy growing again. I urge House Leadership to take Congressman Massie’s advice and not take up the Internet Tax Mandate.”
