Republican Senator Charles Grassley and Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg may not have much in common, but one thing they agree on is the lengths to which the Obama Administration’s obsession with secrecy is unprecedented and a danger to American liberty. Ellsberg points out that many people in the Administration, Congress, and the Courts agree with Richard Nixon, “When the President does it it’s not illegal.”
Who knew when Obama said that he would have the “most transparent administration in history” he was referring to the Government’s ability to get information about the people, not the people’s ability to get information about the government.
