Just before noon, Senator Paul took the floor saying, “I rise today to begin my filibuster of John Brennan’s nomination for the CIA. I will speak until I can no longer speak.” And for the next 13-hours, he captivated the nation while awaiting a response from the White House to a simple question: “Does the President have the authority to kill American citizens on American soil by drone strikes?”
