(Before It's News)

Drones are becoming more commonplace over the last several years. Many of these automated vehicles are now in the hands of private citizens.

Military versions of the craft are becoming more advanced, and deadly. The government of Israel recently announced they encountered an enemy drone, but did not reveal if it was armed. The Obama Administration also just made it public American military forces are flying drones of the city of Baghdad.

In 2012, Mary Anne Grady Flores participated in a peaceful demonstration against drones at Hancock Field. She was given a court order to stay away from the base. She did not participate in a later protest, but did photograph the events. At the time, she believed she was not on the field. Grady Flores was arrested, and has now been sentenced to a year in jail.

Ellen Grady is our guest on the show today. She is the sister of the woman many are calling “the anti-drone grandma.” Grady will tell us about her sister, and what drove her to become a crusader. We will discuss the arrest and conviction, as well as what could happen to her sibling in the future. Finally, we will talk about opposition to the use of drones by military forces.
