(Before It's News)

The NSA once thought so…..

In 1999, the National Security Agency banned the popular stuffed animal toy “Furbies” from its headquarters. The reason? Furbies contained a commuter chip that allows them to record conversations of people in the toy’s vicinity. NSA officials were concerned that Furbies would record classified information.

Fortunately, the NSA was mistaken. Furbies cannot actually record conversations.  So the NSA is about as effective in identifying toy spies as it is in identifying real spies.

Campaign for Liberty is working to make the NSA is a concerned with your privacy as it is with its own privacy. Please support our efforts by contributing to our Stop the Surveillance State Banner Bomb.
