The following is a link to a story that ran on the front page of the New Orleans Times-Picayune on Tuesday, April 3, 2012. The image discussed has appeared on an altar pillar at the Our Lady of Prompt Succor National Shrine on the campus of Ursuline Academy in New Orleans. The image can best be seen from the Student Chapel. It is only artificially lit, as the stained glass of the massive shrine blocks out the daylight. The same lighting has been in place since the chapel was upgraded to electrical lighting during the early 20th Century. No former students or faculty have seen this image until last week. Judge for yourself, but whatever the cause it sends a beautiful message to us all during this Holy Week.
